God Replaces an Evil Government
On Wednesday, we saw how God intervened in the affairs of men, in this case Persian King Nebuchadnezzar, until he knew that “the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.”
As an example of God intervening in the affairs of men to replace an evil government, today’s post involves God’s installment of Josiah as king of Judah. It’s longish, but I think well worth the read, particularly in view of rumored (perhaps much more than rumored) former pagan practices in the White House and possible connections to child trafficking. Also pertinent is the incident of Pope Francis accepting and placing a bowl, earth and plant, dedicated to the false pagan goddess Pachamama on the papal altar in St. Peter’s Basilica.
I don’t intend to single out Catholics here. There are many (far, far too many), Protestant religious leaders who have strayed away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s Word.
Manasseh King of Judah
2 Kings 21 Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother’s name was Hephzibah. 2 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. 3 He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them. 4 He built altars in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put my Name.” 5 In the two courts of the temple of the Lord, he built altars to all the starry hosts. 6 He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced divination, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.
7 He took the carved Asherah pole he had made and put it in the temple, of which the Lord had said to David and to his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever. 8 I will not again make the feet of the Israelites wander from the land I gave their ancestors, if only they will be careful to do everything I commanded them and will keep the whole Law that my servant Moses gave them.” 9 But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.
10 The Lord said through his servants the prophets: 11 “Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols. 12 Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle. 13 I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. 14 I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and give them into the hands of enemies. They will be looted and plundered by all their enemies; 15 they have done evil in my eyes and have aroused my anger from the day their ancestors came out of Egypt until this day.”
16 Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end—besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, so that they did evil in the eyes of the Lord.
17 As for the other events of Manasseh’s reign, and all he did, including the sin he committed, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? 18 Manasseh rested with his ancestors and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And Amon his son succeeded him as king.
Amon King of Judah
19 Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah. 20 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done. 21 He followed completely the ways of his father, worshiping the idols his father had worshiped, and bowing down to them. 22 He forsook the Lord, the God of his ancestors, and did not walk in obedience to him.
23 Amon’s officials conspired against him and assassinated the king in his palace. 24 Then the people of the land killed all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah his son king in his place.
25 As for the other events of Amon’s reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? 26 He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. And Josiah his son succeeded him as king.
The Book of the Law Found
2 Kings 22 Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother’s name was Jedidah daughter of Adaiah; she was from Bozkath. 2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.
3 In the eighteenth year of his reign, King Josiah sent the secretary, Shaphan son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, to the temple of the Lord. He said: 4 “Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him get ready the money that has been brought into the temple of the Lord, which the doorkeepers have collected from the people. 5 Have them entrust it to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple. And have these men pay the workers who repair the temple of the Lord— 6 the carpenters, the builders and the masons. Also have them purchase timber and dressed stone to repair the temple. 7 But they need not account for the money entrusted to them, because they are honest in their dealings.”
8 Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the Lord.” He gave it to Shaphan, who read it. 9 Then Shaphan the secretary went to the king and reported to him: “Your officials have paid out the money that was in the temple of the Lord and have entrusted it to the workers and supervisors at the temple.” 10 Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king.
11 When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes. 12 He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Akbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king’s attendant: 13 “Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”
14 Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Akbor, Shaphan and Asaiah went to speak to the prophet Huldah, who was the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the New Quarter.
15 She said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Tell the man who sent you to me, 16 ‘This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people, according to everything written in the book the king of Judah has read. 17 Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and aroused my anger by all the idols their hands have made,[a] my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.’ 18 Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the Lord, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard: 19 Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people—that they would become a curse[b] and be laid waste—and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. 20 Therefore I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place.’”
So they took her answer back to the king.
Josiah Renews the Covenant
2 Kings 23 Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. 2 He went up to the temple of the Lord with the people of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets—all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the Lord. 3 The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord—to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.
4 The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the priests next in rank and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the Lord all the articles made for Baal and Asherah and all the starry hosts. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron Valley and took the ashes to Bethel. 5 He did away with the idolatrous priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem—those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts. 6 He took the Asherah pole from the temple of the Lord to the Kidron Valley outside Jerusalem and burned it there. He ground it to powder and scattered the dust over the graves of the common people. 7 He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes that were in the temple of the Lord, the quarters where women did weaving for Asherah.
8 Josiah brought all the priests from the towns of Judah and desecrated the high places, from Geba to Beersheba, where the priests had burned incense. He broke down the gateway at the entrance of the Gate of Joshua, the city governor, which was on the left of the city gate. 9 Although the priests of the high places did not serve at the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, they ate unleavened bread with their fellow priests.
10 He desecrated Topheth, which was in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, so no one could use it to sacrifice their son or daughter in the fire to Molek. 11 He removed from the entrance to the temple of the Lord the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court[a] near the room of an official named Nathan-Melek. Josiah then burned the chariots dedicated to the sun.
12 He pulled down the altars the kings of Judah had erected on the roof near the upper room of Ahaz, and the altars Manasseh had built in the two courts of the temple of the Lord. He removed them from there, smashed them to pieces and threw the rubble into the Kidron Valley. 13 The king also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption—the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the vile goddess of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the people of Ammon. 14 Josiah smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles and covered the sites with human bones.
15 Even the altar at Bethel, the high place made by Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin—even that altar and high place he demolished. He burned the high place and ground it to powder, and burned the Asherah pole also. 16 Then Josiah looked around, and when he saw the tombs that were there on the hillside, he had the bones removed from them and burned on the altar to defile it, in accordance with the word of the Lord proclaimed by the man of God who foretold these things.
17 The king asked, “What is that tombstone I see?”
The people of the city said, “It marks the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and pronounced against the altar of Bethel the very things you have done to it.”
18 “Leave it alone,” he said. “Don’t let anyone disturb his bones.” So they spared his bones and those of the prophet who had come from Samaria.
19 Just as he had done at Bethel, Josiah removed all the shrines at the high places that the kings of Israel had built in the towns of Samaria and that had aroused the Lord’s anger. 20 Josiah slaughtered all the priests of those high places on the altars and burned human bones on them. Then he went back to Jerusalem.
21 The king gave this order to all the people: “Celebrate the Passover to the Lord your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.” 22 Neither in the days of the judges who led Israel nor in the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah had any such Passover been observed. 23 But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated to the Lord in Jerusalem.
24 Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem. This he did to fulfill the requirements of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the temple of the Lord. 25 Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did—with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.
26 Nevertheless, the Lord did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to arouse his anger. 27 So the Lord said, “I will remove Judah also from my presence as I removed Israel, and I will reject Jerusalem, the city I chose, and this temple, about which I said, ‘My Name shall be there.’[b]”
28 As for the other events of Josiah’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
29 While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went up to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet him in battle, but Necho faced him and killed him at Megiddo. 30 Josiah’s servants brought his body in a chariot from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father.
In view of the above, I think that Pope Francis is treading on very thin ice, indeed, with his honoring of the Pachamama bowl. From LifeSiteNews and Archbishop Viganò:

God has been very lenient with our country considering the distance we have strayed from Him, for example, since the times of our founding fathers. It would not be far-fetched to think we are now in the midst of a divinely mandated course correction.
Hopefully, PTrump is our Josiah, and we, as a nation, will heed what Daniel said to Nebuchadnezzar:

What I find more disturbing than homosexuality is the hedonistic lifestyles of men and women, the sexualisation of young girls, the breakdown of the family-contributed to by generations of kids with same mothers multiple fathers all on welfare, the white guilt industry etc. the blurring of genderlines where anyone can be any sex they want to.( note this is usually advantageous to them), same with the indigenous who don’t even have to have a drop of indigenous blood, just identify as.

As I already stated the above # in the meme is not for the entire 2020. Most of Dec has yet to report. The last week with close to complete #s is week 49, ending Dec. 5.
I have explained to you before that the totals lag 2-4 weeks behind as it takes time for the reports to come into the CDC from the NIH, counties, cities and states. We also see small adjustments made for several months to come as some death certificates are delayed to due investigations. But the majority are reported with a 2-4 week lag.
As I stated days ago, Any reports of 2020 death totals reported in the firsts few weeks of January will be inaccurate as the #s are still being compiled. This also the reason that the report back in the spring stating that there were fewer deaths was pulled. The total on a given date is Always behind by weeks due to lag time in reporting.

All who end up in the Lake of Fire will be there VOLUNTARILY. Despite their guilt which was forgiven, they will attempt to justify their acts on earth with various excuses. This amounts to a challenge to the omnipotence of God the Father and God the Son. Such a person is simply saying I have been wrongly accused. Since all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, no one is wrongly accused and such a statement is a lie.
Liars (and also some other miscreants) cannot inherit the Kingdom; ergo, off he/she goes to where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I don’t think it is a good idea to keep the Capital in Washington DC. Josiah could not clean up Jerusalem enough to make it acceptable to God. We need to go back to our Constitution and clean out the remnants of the old UN HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE that people tried to build on our Foundation. DC glorifies all of the Roman gods and goddesses. There is nothing at all Christian about that.
President Trump is giving America back to the people. He has made it very clear in word and in deed. America First. One Nation Under God. President Trump has returned prayer to America. We are taking our country back.

I took my Mom to visit in 1994. She had never been there and wanted to go. It was so strange for me to see it with my eyes wide open. I was literally horrified to realize that DC has nothing to do with being a Christian nation.

Can a doctor discern the difference between flu and SARS-2 CoV aka Covid-19?
Is there a consistent set of symptoms and responses to help them discriminate between the two?
Are any or only some of the coronavirus tests reliable? There have been rumors and evidence given that some of the tests are not reliable.
Are the numbers and test results being manipulated and/or falsified? There have been rumors of this being done for profit or political purposes.
We know some Governors have intentionally put SARS-2 CoV patients back in nursing homes.
SARS stands for Sudden Acute Respiratory Stress – often leading to death – unless interventions are successful.
A person with pre-existing serious co-morbid conditions, such as lung, heart, diabetes, obesity, cancer and other diseases, will likely be more vulnerable to SARS-2 CoV – and will progress to critical condition faster than a person with a healthy immune system.
A person with serious pre-existing conditions is in a fragile state of health and ANY INFECTION caused by a bladder infection or aspirating a bit of food – can get out of control and develop into a cytokine storm and result in a long stay in a critical care ward or the ICU. The critical condition could be manifest as respiratory stress and/or heart arrhythmia and/or sepsis.
Because of all this – good nursing home facilities restrict visitation and monitor residents and staff for illness and fever during flu season.
My biggest Question is this:
Are SARS-2 CoV strains being intentionally released and spread by nefarious agents in the USA and around the world – for political purposes?

Mitigations for covid19 such as social distancing (including gov forced social distancing with which I disagree) are impacting the flu circulation, reducing infection rates. The majority of flu deaths in most years are deaths from the 65+ category and from those already ill (nursing homes, for example) that are being more protected than usual due to Covid19. The R0 for Covid 19 is reduced by the mitigations and so is the R0 for flu.

3) The overwhelming, vast majority of all deaths of flu in all flu seasons are actually from deaths from pneumonia. Dying of complications of the flu v. the flu is 100% normal. However, most people haven’t paid that much attention to this in the past so seeing many Covid19 deaths are technically from pneumonia is confusing to people. Dying from the Covid19 caused complications of Covid19 are still deaths for which Covid19 is responsible. Only a Tiny fraction of flu deaths are deaths in which only flu is present. Most are flu season deaths are actually from pneumonia so the CDC is doing nothing different with Covid19

Even the H1N1 (Swine Flu) in 2009 saw less than 4,000 deaths confirmed deaths with some estimated, on the high end, 6,000 deaths in the US. That flu season saw more hospitalizations and deaths in lower age groups that had not regularly previously encountered swine flus. Deaths in lower age groups is always alarming as it is unusual for flu. Thankfully, the younger age groups have been less vulngerable to Covid19.

Spanish Flu killed ~675,000 people in the US. At the current death rate, our first year of Covid19 deaths will sadly surpass the total killed during Spanish Flu Epidemic in the first year of Covid19 and be significantly more when the epidemic ends.

Years ago, I was in someone’s front yard with a Manx cat and a tree with a branch a few feet away that was higher then my head.
For those with little experience of the breed, Manx’s have hyper-muscled rear legs, to the point where they often appear to “hop” when they are walking around. They also have naturally bobbed tails. They have interesting, and occasionally problematic, temperments — but can be quite fond of certain people.
So this cat is sitting directly below this branch, and is doing it’s grooming thing — wetting its paws and combing its ears, cleaning and flexing its paws, seems very self absorbed and relaxed. And a bird flies in and lands on the branch. The cat continues its grooming.
And then, with no tensing, flexing, wind-up, or shift of position, it bounds straight up about seven feet, passing a paw with fully extended claws through where the bird was a half-second earlier.
My reaction was, “WOW! That’s amazing!!!” The bird’s reaction, when it escaped by inches, was likely more forceful.
I’d imagine that the cat had quite a track record with that technique.

I had a Manx kitten years ago.
It bonded on me to the point that it was very protective and would hiss at my brothers if they made any sudden moves in my direction.
His way of walking was similar to a rabbit’s…with synchronization of his two hind legs.
And yeah, it was sort of a hopping movement.
He could jump straight up about six feet…and jump across long distances.
When he climbed trees, he would jump from branch to branch.
He was a great cat.
I had a Manx, too, long ago. What a SMART guy he was! And he had such a sense of humor!
Yes…very smart.
And playful too.
Well, with me he was playful.
Others…not so much.
He loved to play ‘air fetch’ where I would throw something up in the air and he would jump up and fetch it.
That “one person” thing would be a major “problematic” part.
I haven’t owned any cats, and haven’t had one in my household since I went off to college and discovered I was allergic to our family pets. But I’ve interacted with a fair number of Manxes….and their minds don’t work like the average tabby. That said, I’ve always gotten on well with the breed.

After reading several that all agreed, I was at “WHOA!” But then when new ones came to my attention, by people who didn’t know the others, and they likewise agreed, I knew these ladies were not blowing smoke about him.
The guy had a “pedo M.O.” just like every pedo, perv, and predator I’ve read about or encountered in real life. We can argue about whether a “deflowering addict” pursuing troubled 9th, 10th and 11th graders is technically a pedo, but there is IMO no debate that he was a predator.

When editors at The American Spectator asked me to write a column for their exceptional magazine about the liberalization of the American church in the age of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and what parades as social justice, I liked the idea. My mind had been ranging over that ground for some months, and their call was confirmation that the idea was worth pursuing. But rather than an article addressing that topic in merely impersonal, philosophical terms, I suggested giving it a face: Pastor Timothy Keller.
For the uninitiated, Tim Keller is the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, a successful confessional church in a place many Christians regard as the heart of darkness. Keller is also a best-selling author who does not shrink from dipping his toes into political waters as so many ministers do. He is something of an unofficial pope to a large segment of the evangelical Christian population. His influence on this demographic is vast, and he leverages it in books, interviews, and a robust social media presence. For our purposes, the question is this: is it a good influence?
Over the course of his career, Tim Keller has been a light for the Christian faith in the pulpit. He has also written several helpful books. Yet, bizarrely, he has recently embraced the so-called social justice movement. In a series of articles and tweets this year, Keller, confusing Christianity with the Democrat presidential platform, pronounced authoritatively on issues ranging from “systemic racism” to the “corporate guilt” of white America. All of this, of course, was simply a precursor to his inevitable conclusion:
Such a position would seem reasonable in, say, the 1916 presidential election between incumbent Democrat Woodrow Wilson and Republican Charles Evans Hughes. But in 2020, a year when Democrats represent all that is unholy? I can think of several biblical commands that made the choice for any Bible-believing Christian absolutely clear in this election. I mean, would Jesus endorse a radical pro-abortion and pro-infanticide policy; every sordid sexual agenda, even the sexualization of small children; a complete disregard for the rule of law; and open hostility toward His followers? I don’t think so.
Unfortunately, Keller is not an evangelical anomaly. While he was giving theological justification to those who would betray their faith and defect to the opposition with their votes, popular Baptist pastor John Piper was encouraging Christians not to vote at all. In a recent blog post, he maintained that Republicans aren’t morally rigid enough. Whipping out the ultimate tool in the pastor’s mystification toolbox, he employed biblical Greek to add authority to his case against President Trump. (Some pastors love to do this. It is their way of saying, “Don’t try this at home.”) Piper says the president is guilty of “unrepentant sexual immorality (porneia), unrepentant boastfulness (alazoneia), unrepentant vulgarity (aischrologia), [and] unrepentant factiousness (dichostasiai).”
One wonders how he knows Trump is unrepentant and why he is the one to blame for factiousness. Did the president concoct a Russia collusion narrative? Did he spy on Hillary Clinton’s campaign? Did he illegally use the FBI to push false evidence? Did he do anything justifying impeachment? Did he support the looting, burning, and rioting in our streets? Did he take money from China through a family member serving as a proxy? No. As for his vulgarity and boastfulness, I suggest Piper get out more. Trump is fairly typical of the chest-beating, plain-speaking businessmen one finds in places like New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Philadelphia.
I am reminded of a quotation attributed (perhaps inaccurately) to George Orwell: “People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”
Orwell or not, the sentiment is true. Like many of those who do violence on our behalf for the sake of our freedom, Trump is a rough man. That’s too much for Piper. Oddly, Piper represents a segment of the evangelical population that demands his president bear the characteristics of a Mother Teresa. Does he make the same demands of his barber, his mechanic, his accountant, or his surgeon? One suspects not.
In July 2012, I was speaking at a youth retreat in the mountains of Tennessee when I received a call from CNN. It seemed that Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy had publicly commented on the issue of same-sex marriage, and now the gay mafia was lining up to do both him and his restaurant chain as much harm as possible. Would I, asked CNN, be willing to offer the orthodox Christian perspective on homosexuality and defend Chick-fil-A in this controversy? After reviewing Cathy’s remarks and concluding that they were neither outrageous nor biblically incorrect, I agreed to the interview, and later that day I defended the Christian position on the network as vigorously as possible.
Shortly thereafter, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee called for Christians to mobilize and show their support for the embattled fast food restaurant with “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.” They did. Lines at the restaurant stretched for blocks. This event marked the first time in modern memory that Christians fought back rather than meekly submitting to the media and special interest bullies.
But not all evangelical Christians were supportive of the Home of the Chicken Sandwich. In an article for WORLD magazine, Barnabas Piper, son of John Piper, wrote that he was against Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day because, he said, it “clearly promote[s] an ‘us versus them’ mentality.” Thus, taking a stand was too divisive.
At the time, I was stupefied by these remarks and wondered how the elder Piper, whom I respected, felt about his son’s views. Now I know the apple does not fall far from the tree. Perhaps it had escaped the young Piper’s notice, but it is us versus them. Besides, Huckabee wasn’t asking Piper or other Christians to die for their faith. He wasn’t asking them to take to the streets and destroy property as protesters on the left so often do. He was asking them to do nothing more than eat a chicken sandwich and some waffle fries for Jesus. Has any protest in history been easier or tastier?
A generation ago, pop star Bonnie Tyler famously asked the question, “Where have all the good men gone?” Since then, the situation has only gotten worse, Bonnie. As C. S. Lewis noted, men in the Western world have largely been emasculated, and men in the Church are seldom an exception to this decades-long trend. To stand strong for one’s faith in Jesus Christ and push back at a culture that, in the words of Isaiah 5:20, “call[s] evil good and good evil” is today seen to be “divisive,” “unloving,” “bigoted,” and “intolerant.”
This is because evangelicals in the English-speaking world have confused Christ’s command to love others with being civil as if that were an attribute of God. (It isn’t.) As a consequence, a superficial, self-righteous, good-for-nothing pietism that prefers tone to truth and style to substance has displaced authentic Christianity in many of the roughly four hundred thousand churches in America. This doctrinal malpractice has given us a generation of men, Christian and otherwise, who are what Lewis called “men without chests.”
Don’t know the sort of Christians I am talking about? I’ll give you a hint. Too many Christians today are risk-averse. They prefer the safety of the family life center to engaging the culture in any way that might cost them something. To such Christians, the “woke” messages of pastors like Tim Keller and John Piper et al. are a justification to do what they were inclined to do anyway: nothing.
But that doesn’t strike me as Christian at all. C. S. Lewis called Christianity a “fighting religion.” Think on that. These days, such a statement strikes a somewhat absurd note with a generation that has never known war, privation, or suffering in defense of anything, much less of noble ideals. For them, Jesus has been reinterpreted to meet a lifestyle preference. One might wonder if they truly know him. Because when Jesus said to turn the other cheek, he did not mean to turn a blind eye. And the highest calling of a Christian is not to be civil; it is to be salt and light.

No I was editing, trying to get the picture of a gauge with a scale going «Oh Dear-Yikes-WTF» on i into place. Then tried editing a bunch of times to get the thing to appear. So it is nothing more nefarious than the battle between me and the commenting system that your’e seeing.
OK. I think once someone replies to a comment you lose the editing capability. It also might time out…perhaps AND logic 😉
Yes, Editing is only supposed to be possible for 5 minutes or so, and only before anyone replies. It is very useful this way, I have some time to change typos and suchlike, while if I reply to a question or post, what I am replying to doesn’t change later.
Now this looks like some kind of race-condition, maybe something like when I post, the bell mechanism captures the original post, and doesn’t update with the modified post. Now, if all I did was to edit some small typo, it wouldn’t have been noticeable, but when changing the text to make sense in the absense of the picture that I didn’t manage to put into place, it does appear kinda odd.
I’m going to have to look on the page to see what it looks like compared to My Bell (NOT Moochelle!) version!

EDIT…come to think of it, it changed when I clicked away from it then came back to it, because I decided to look more closely at the comment. I was scanning through dozens of comments in the notifier and had said “what was that?” and went back to look and she had edited it, a lot (she had basically removed the original link and said it had turned out to be wrong, if I recall correction).
Did your experience leave the original (or at least the abbreviated 2 lines) comment in the right hand column, but when you clicked on it show the edited version in the area above where you could reply?
I wonder if that is always what happens, or only if you see/open the bell before someone has begun the editing….like leaving a ghostly aspect of a pencil erasure or something.

But then…think about the people who engrave the vignettes on bank notes (paper money). They generally have to do that with lines and dots; there’s no “shading” by smudging the ink, and at least in the past, no dual-color printing either.
Look at the picture on your paper money with a magnifier. That’s an old art. It’s possible computers did the ones on our notes now, but that was not true when we were kids, clear back into the 1860s and earlier.

The concept of having All the religions come to some agreement is quite unlikely. CS Lewis did attempt some sort of philosophical exercise along those lines. I believe he called it the Tao of religion, or something. The premise being that God has written His laws on the hearts of men (stated in scripture) so that if one could distill the universal morality of vastly different cultures/faiths it Might be possible to come to some agreement as to what those laws written on our hearts might be.
It’s been a long time since I read that discussion but I think that there is some degree of universal understanding that murder is wrong, as is lying, cheating, & stealing, & sexual unfaithfulness.
In the real world it would seem that genuine pure of heart faith leaders are very hard to find. How would any religious leader give up the power they have historically held over the masses?

Have you ever heard of LDN – Low Dose Naltrexone? It boosts the immune system – and has been found to help in Crohn’s, Ulcerative colitis, MS and other conditions. My functional fitness doctor put me on it…now for about 4 months. It is one of those medications originally used for one purpose and expanded to function in other ways. I have an autoimmune issue. I was using a compounded formula for my chronic itching scalp, another one for inner itching ear, and yet another one for my face (FR doctor said…it’s all immune system symptoms)….within a couple of weeks after starting, about 80% of the symptoms were gone.
It’s not cheap…I pay about $110 for 3 months. But, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Bonus for me is I feel it’s creating a good defense system for any virus or other future health issues.

There IS paint overspray on the bricks.
It is not as clear as the paint on a WHITE door….
But it is there.

Bricks have a very porous surface and will absorb much more spray than the non-porous gloss paint on the door. Add in the ability/inability of the camera to pick up details in a high contrast, low-light, low-resolution picture.
In the first pic…it is difficult to see…but there is a very faint over-spray onto the brick. Even the spray on the door is very thin.
Over my decades as a mechanic in the military and civilian…I have experience in using spray paint on countless various surfaces with some surfaces requiring much more material…especially if they are not PRIMED to be painted. It also depends on the type of spray paint being used.
Notice the white clean stripe before the brick? No paint. That white stripe is likely some form of silicone which does not accept paint well…the paint will simply bead up and roll off on many types of paint…especially those that are WATER-BASED.

Raw data demonstrates her conclusions are faulty/wrong. First, the raw data and then opinion as to what she did with the data to reach her faulty conclusions.
Note: The #s below are all deaths of all causes, organized by week. The #s are not complete as there are time delays for reporting. Even weeks that are listed are still incomplete as death certificates sometimes take weeks and even months to be reported to the NIH & CDC due to some deaths being investigated for various reasons. Some weeks will increase by a few hundred to even a few thousand over the upcoming weeks and months but the vast majority of deaths are reported for weeks 1-49 for 2020.

1) Any connections between the CDC and stats? What dots are you trying to connect? What stats do you think the CDC is manipulating?
2) The article is written using the CDC stats/data but drawing a different conclusion than a conclusion others have drawn. If one dismisses the CDC stats as unreliable then her entire article is unreliable because it is entirely based on CDC stats.
One can not accept CDC stats as the basis for a conclusion one likes and yet dismiss CDC stats when they prove something one doesn’t like or are used for a conclusion one doesn’t like.
Either the article is completely non credible because it is 100% based on CDC stats or one must accept the CDC stats/data and then only debate the conclusions/interpretations of the data.
Intellectual integrity demands that one either toss out the article as jibberish because it is based on supposedly non trustworthy CDC data or accept the CDC data is credible and debate concusions/interpretations.

These comparisons, in my opinion, need to also be juxtaposed to ALL Deaths because the overcounting/mis-attributing of CV deaths due to the financial incentive & the deep state duplicity mean the 2020 data of “Wu Flu” deaths is pretty speculative. Total deaths would reveal if we are Really experiencing an increase of Actual deaths (whether they are called Flu, ILI, Pneumonia, or “Wu Flu”).
My son’s paramedic friend’s experience of bringing in a gunshot DOA & finding the death was listed as “COVID” & a twitter family’s recent cancer death of a loved one called “COVID” because he’d tested “+” 10 days earlier but was always without symptoms (those PCR tests have been shown to be capable of 100% calling “+” if the cycles are raised enough making a “+” result near meaningless, especially for the asymptomatic) are but 2 examples of how the “Wu Flu” numbers are Highly Suspect w/out comparison year to year w/ total deaths.
But I think that’s what she’s trying to do.
When she talks about “excess deaths” she’s referring to an increase in all deaths, this year (whoops, I mean 2020) compared to last. She’s not (yet) attributing them to Covid; she’s just trying to get people to first accept that there were indeed more deaths in 2020. THEN we ask why. Covid? Flu? Something else?
I guess I’m dense here for the author of the item shared in the tweet was claiming there are NO excess deaths. MAGA mom claims there are…I guess it requires looking more deeply into the data at some point.

We are now in the 2020-2021 flu season/winter and are seeing the spike in deaths by pneumonia and all other causes we usually see. What was unusual with 2020 is that we saw spikes in total deaths of all causes through the year, including in the summer.
She claims repeatedly that total deaths have remained the same. Simply not true. See above.
She is using CDC data to prove her point. However, linked CDC data proves her wrong on her cornerstone point of “no excess deaths”. We either find CDC data trustworthy (not necessarily their interpretation of the data) or we do not find CDC data trustworthy. To dismiss some CDC data in favor of other CDC data is illogical.
A chart in the article shows an increase in cancer deaths – significant. Why? Lack of treatment? Those #s are expected to go up do to delayed treatments, surgeries and even delayed/canceled screenings – a sad example of the “cure” being worse than the disease.
The same chart shows fewer deaths categorized as heart disease. Why?
First, a note on flu deaths. Go to this link and look up any previous year’s flu deaths. Note that pneumonia is listed along side flu. Note that there are actually VERY FEW flu deaths every year but that many/most pneumonia deaths are also counted as flu deaths.

Why? Because most pneumonia starts out as something else, often as flu. Flu doesn’t usually directly kill. Pneumonia sets in and pneumonia kills … but it is flu caused pneumonia. The pneumonia is a complication of the flu. Without the flu the pneumonia would not have been present and would not have killed the person.
Similar is happening with Covid19.
Covid19 doesn’t kill as many directly as Covid19 complications kill.
Covid19 leads to pneumonia, for example and, just like with the flu, pneumonia is the covid19 complication that actually kills. Pneumonia and flu, pneumonia and covid19 deaths are Very closely related. People become infected with covid19, are ill, develop covid19 complications, die of the complications but are still dead of covid19 because they would not have had the complications/pneumonia had they not been sick with the flu/covid19 in the first place.
This is related to heart disease and other comorbidities because heart issues are a complication of covid19. Those who would have died of a comorbidity die sooner because of being infected with covid19. They might have lived another month or another year or multiple years. But they had health issues and were not strong enough to overcome covid19 complications — which would not have happened without Covid19 infection.
Why list as Covid19 instead of the complication? Because it was covid19 that was the underlying reason for the complications and subsequent death, whether pneumonia or heart attack, etc. And regardless of the way covid 19 kills the patient, the covid19 patient is more expensive than a regular pneumonia patient or heart patient.
About the $? Why are hospitals paid more for Covid19 patients? 1) Because they Cost More! Every covid19 patient requires isolation, special equipment, higher staff ratio, etc. 2) Because of covid19 and mitigation efforts to slow the spread of covid19, hospital systems have shutdown/slowed services in many other areas of medicine.
Here is the raw data for deaths by cause for each state, cause and for the last 5 yrs and compares it to 2020. However, do not take current data as complete for 2020 as the data is still lacking Dec 2020 so there are Zero conclusions about comparisons in totals at this point.

I have seen too many empty hospital videos and several nurses who were furloughed and waiting for a call to come in to work – all summer – to believe any of this “hospitals at the breaking point” nonsense. And I’m in NJ (a ground zero). Didn’t that woman in UK got arrested for filming the ghost town hospital?
Yep. And they’re “controlling the narrative” over here. We had to take our son to the hospital because everything is shut down here, and my wife could go in with him because he’s severely hard-of-hearing, but I got to stay in the car and freeze. I did get to go in to the lobby for a short, erm, break, and the place appeared to be empty, which my wife and son confirmed later, after coming back from the doc who was somewhere on a different floor, so they walked by a LOT of empty rooms/examination spots/etc.
One thing they’ve done over here, sadly, is lay off a lot of medical personnel and specialists, supposedly to free up space for the “wave” of FaKorona infections. In truth, they were likely balancing their budgets; the budgets of those displaced/laid off/fired of course becoming permanently unbalanced.
These layoffs, etc., of course reduce the availability of STAFFED facilities… despite the number of physical beds, etc., being the same. Grrrrrrr……. 😡 😡 😡

I used to visited Nursing homes a lot. Over the years many people in the homes caught pneumonia or flu or just old age and people died suddenly short stay in hospital. Most of the time seems after Christmas until March.
I myself in the past had a flu shot got sick every time after the shot. This year I skipped nothing. I took the flu shot for 5 years never was sick before the shot.
I am very concerned that we are being fooled.
People are born and they die that is the circle of life. Personally I feel I lived a full life and it is all in God’s hands when he calls me home.

But none of my usual places have ’em; so I’ve looked at odd places *near* the unusual places (a non-typical place to set them when I take them off to read Qtree, for instance), and no dice there either.
They’re a weak enough prescription that I’m technically legal to drive without them, but I still want that extra clarity for distance.
Sometimes mine are in a normal place, but are ‘camouflaged’, so either my eyes or my brain just aren’t seeing them.

I’m REALLY nearsighted, so when I’m looking at something, especially fine print, I take of my glasses and voila! I have automatic reading glasses… but then I have to find them, which can be a challenge (-10 diopter)…
Was at the DMV many, many moons ago, and I didn’t have my contacts in, so they said, just for grins, try looking at the eye chart on that board over there (yep, it was THAT long ago).
Hanging from the ceiling was a 4×8 sheet of plywood (A/A) painted white, with nicely stenciled letters like the usual eye chart.
I took my glasses off.
“Well, what do you see?”
Where’s the eye chart again?
They thought I was bs’ing, but I wasn’t. I told them, don’t worry about me driving without my glasses. I can’t even find my CAR without my glasses (though, I guess I could drive in Italy – seems they drive by feel there 🙂 )…

I normally find lost things for myself and the Fiancee by remembering when I felt “hassled” around the time of losing them. Like, remember unlocking the front door when your hands were full? — the keys might still be in the door, or they might be where you dumped all the stuff that you brought in.

Sometimes when I want to specifically evoke the high plains, not the USA, I might use a prairie falcon. Though I suspect some sort of hawk (red tail?) is actually more common here.
(And of course the prairie falcon’s binomial name is Falco mexicanus, so there’s actually mis- symbolism there.)
There was an incident a couple of months ago when I got home after dark, and some large bird was on top of the flag pole. I didn’t notice it until it startled and flew off, then I could only see it dimly in the side-wash from the headlights. I suspect that was a hawk, but when I told the story here, a lot of people preferred to think I had actually had an eagle perched on my flagpole.

I find this condensed passage quite relevant to today’s reality:

I recall the movies more than the books, and of course much had to be cut going from book to movie (otherwise the movie would have been days long) but this, I think is what the movie rendered as when Gandalf suggested Theoden should grasp his sword.

For me, it’s the converse.
Like all that comes out of holley-wood (magic wand), the ethics and morality is butchered (subverted).
So many of the scenes were re-written for “drama”, yet the books themselves provided enough drama for the ages.
In the books, Aragorn cautioned his two compatriots NOT to “shoot first” (as was portrayed in the movies) at the old man in Fangorn Forest, until they knew at whom – friend or foe – they were shooting (arrows).
There are many more examples, but I think this one serves my point the best.
I very rarely watch a movie where I have read the book because I spent the time muttering nasty things about the producers under my breath.
I know well how Hollywood can butcher things.
Starship Troopers is the preeminent example of this, at least among books I have read where I’ve also seen the movie. Starship Troopers was an adventure story, to be sure, but it also had a lot to say about the philosophy of government and also of military service. All of this was gutted in the movie. (And I understand the movie had sequels, but I never watched them.) Not only was the philosophy dropped, some of the scenes Heinlein put in to explain “why we fight” got turned into mindless sadism in the movie. (E.g, the scene where the sergeant threw his knife into the recruit’s hand. No such scene in the book, but the book did include a long discussion of why people should learn to fight with knives when we could just toss a nuke.)
The medium affects the art. A book can be as long as it needs to be, and LOTR legitimately needed to be long. A movie has a time limit; a movie has a hard time portraying what’s inside a character’s head. (The first Dune movie resorted to the trick of focusing in on the character’s face and having the actor voice over in a whisper what the character was thinking–the problem was even as a teenager with his hearing intact, I couldn’t understand what the guy was whispering, so it worked poorly.)
LOTR stands to me as the best theater rendition of a book (in this case books; really six though bound as three) I’ve ever seen, even though it was by no means perfect. “Perfect” is simply impossible, because translation must be done going from one medium to another.
Yep. What they did with Saruman kind of ruined it for me… The other, non-trilogy books (Silmarillion and the various background books) are really helpful and interesting…
And the old man in Fangorn could well have been either Gandalf or Saruman, as at some times they looked similar. I loved the return of Gandalf…

Yes, Jan 20th is just a day LISTED. I believe it was changed from March to Jan 20th after WW2. There have been a FEW after Jan. The dems AGAIN wanting to run out the clock, WHY. Because the longer it goes, the more chance of DISCOVERY!
It’s specified in the XXth amendment, Section 1, it’s not “just a day listed.” And there’s no qualification like “or whatever day Congress Specifies” (which does appear in Section 2, which specifies the day Congress meets).
In fact it says that the term of POTUS ends at that time, and the term of his successor then begins. They phrased it that way to make the end of a presidential term definite, even if there IS no successor for some reason, his term nevertheless ends at that time.
Before that it was March 4th.
The XXth Amendment was ratified in 1933, on January 23rd, which could have been read to mean FDR should have been inaugurated 3 days earlier, since the upcoming march 4th was no longer inauguration day, but Section 5 says it takes effect on October 5 following its ratification, so there could be no confusion about 1933.

I want to add the destruction of brain function in teens. Does anyone realize that for a lot of city teens that they’re mostly homebound..no movies, no clubs, no sleepovers, no school, no sports. Their lives are online. They’re insulated and isolated. Very little in person interaction with peers.
Not everyone has those home fairytale best buddy relationship with their parents. WTH is happening with their minds?
It’s been sheer hell this year for my son, who is on the border of being deaf (1-4% residual hearing) and must read lips in order to understand what people are saying to him. He has one CI (cochlear implant) and is waiting for the second, but it takes months to be able to relearn hearing. With mixed mode right now (one hearing aid) he has some help (the 4%) but without reading lips, it’s a no go.
And TPTB don’t give a rip, for the most part. So, his school year, with no live lectures and no live meetings with classmates, has been a total loss (except he’s gotten time off to get the implant(s) ), and almost all of his communication is by texting, which is a poor substitute for “being there”. Online lectures just don’t work, even with huge (24″) monitors, and in some cases the profs are wearing masks even though they’re lecturing to an emply hall… Basically, he’s lost at least a year…

I’m waiting for the people here to finally say “enough already”. Whether or even IF they get the gumption to do it, I have no idea. BUT, there are demonstrations against masks and the COVID lies every week, and there are tons of petitions, etc., going around, so there are SOME people, at least, who have had enough…
Home schooling is still illegal here (thanks again, Hitler), though that prohibition is temporarily suspended, otherwise we’d have homeschooled him from the start, or at least from when his hearing became a serious problem. Maybe with so many people doing forced homeschooling now, the idea might pop into their heads that “hey, this is a pretty good thing”…
P.S. I like the Epson printers (and their Scanners). I have two OKI lasers, one B/W (B430dn) and one color (C532dn) which I got almost for free because I got the introductory special with a free 7000-page black toner cartridge which all but paid for the printer. With third-party compatible toner (from a good company here), it’s served us well, especially with the tens of thousands (!) of pdf pages he’s had to print (schools are saving money there, too)… Nice thing, too, is the laser output doesn’t smudge the way that inkjets do sometimes, and are faster (which helps when, erm, someone remembers that something needs to be printed at the last minute 😮 )
The Workforce printers are great, though, almost like a CIS (continuous ink supply) system…
That really is tough. You lose the continuity that you get from going to school consistently.
One of the things Dr Robinson suggests is year round schooling because the summer break disrupts the routine of learning.
My granddaughter has a job on a horse farm only one day a week in winter . She gets out at least tending horses and being the IT person for the farm and gets paid for the fun 🙂

Moslem women (even the vollverschleierten) have either open holes in their covering, or the nose and the mouth are free. And, yes, here in Germany they can go into the stores with their mouths and noses free, and hoot or ululate all they want.
Scientists, painters/carpenters/chemists/others working in hazardous environments all have profi-quality breathing equipment, with filthers that MUST be changed on a regular basis. And those are NOT cheap.
Medical personnel, same thing. They aren’t wearing the 50-cent Chinese masks. And they have to change them at least every two hours, and have a VERY STRICT protocol for how the masks are handled.
That’s why I think the whole bit about “masking” is such a sick joke. And I really mean sick.. because of rebreathing…

Throughout my working life, I’ve had friends introduce me to strangers as “Dr. Pete.” The new acquaintance invariably comments, “Oh, so you’re a physician?” And then I reply, “No, I’m just a dentist.” Should the ensuing conversation veer into science or health care, I make sure to preface all my remarks with “I’m just a dentist, but…”
How dentists became the idiot stepchildren of healthcare, I don’t know. Fact is, the first two years of dental school and medical school are identical. And when you’re attacking someone’s corpus with needles, drills, Novocaine, and narcotics, you’d better have a damn good sense of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology lest you damage or kill your patient.
So imagine my bewilderment in the age of the COVID-19 pandemic at all the politicians, pundits, and talking heads who’ve suddenly become experts in infection control — not to mention all the lay people wearing masks of every conceivable design and standing six feet away from others, as if six feet were some magic number. Poor sheeple — they think they’re safe, they’re following the “science,” and far be it from me to disabuse them of their imaginary sense of security.
As I was saying, I’m just a dentist — with forty-five years of studying and practicing infection control — and here’s how I see it. We live in a sea of bacteria, viruses, and Spirochetes (Lyme Disease, syphilis), a veritable Grand Central Station of pathogens, all of them vying to take us down. They’re on doorknobs and newspapers, in our air and water, and emanating from the mouths (and other orifices!) of our fellow human beings.
One way to protect yourself from these ubiquitous bugs is to raise your immune status. Eat better, exercise more, get your sleep, and manage your stress. Like the USS Enterprise from Star Trek, you want your shields up at full capacity and the warp engines working. Run yourself into the ground with bad habits or bad thoughts, and you get sick.
The other form of protection is infection control. Exactly how do dentists practice infection control, a question not one person has ever asked? This is how.
You enter a treatment room, and after several minutes of witty repartee with your patient, you wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap, and long enough to hum the theme song to Gilligan’s Island. Then you carefully put on a mask, protective goggles, and gloves. Done right, the patient’s protected from you, and you’re protected from the patient.
Now, here’s the exciting part. When you’re done abusing the poor patient’s molars, all your PPE is contaminated, chock-full of pathogens and bodily fluids. You throw your mask and gloves away and leave your goggles to be disinfected by the assistant who later cleans up the operatory. Because you just touched your contaminated PPE, you wash your hands again before leaving the room, this time humming the theme to Mr. Ed. A horse is a horse, of course.
And you do this again and again and again, going through boxes of gloves and masks every day, and spending thousands of dollars on high-tech goggles so there’s one pair in every room. If your dentist walks around the office with glasses or loupes hanging from his neck, he ain’t doing it right. If he doesn’t wash his hands at a sink, but instead rubs a little Purell on them, he’s faking it. I’ve probably spent 10–15% of my time on the planet washing my hands — so much so that my arm hair ends exactly where an latex glove would begin. But my infection control protocol works. I’ve treated coughing, hacking, sneezing patients for entire winters without catching a cold.
Here’s the scary part: almost no one on the street is practicing proper infection control with regard to COVID-19. No one, including me.
The mask you wear all day gets contaminated from within by your exhalations and from without by the exhalations of others. Is anyone putting on a new mask every hour? Of course not. Even the best N-95 mask is a hotbed of germs, inside and out, after just a few hours. Paper masks degrade even faster, and cloth masks and bandanas are effective only for bank-robbing. They’re literally sieves when it comes to microscopic bugs. If you wear a mask without covering your nose, consider yourself totally unprotected. And an idiot.
Same for gloves — the pair your cashier wore at the supermarket had germs from everyone that cashier serviced before you. And then the cashier handled your food! Don’t even think about what’s living on the cash register’s keyboard; that alone will make you ill.
Protective goggles seal to your face; glasses don’t. If you’re walking around in public without protective goggles, to paraphrase the old song, bugs get in your eyes. And don’t even get me started on the “six-foot social distancing rule.” It’s a made up, arbitrary distance. Someone sneezing sends droplets much farther — someone yelling, farther still. The length of a football field is probably the ideal for social distancing.
Here’s the challenging part of my screed. What most people are doing to protect themselves from COVID-19 is entirely symbolic, a Jedi mind trick played by CNN talking heads on the wary and weak-minded. You’re not doing a fraction of what a dentist does to avoid spreading infection. You can’t, let’s face it.
The solution to this dilemma is to use your common sense. Avoid crowds; limit your interactions with strangers. Wash your hands compulsively with warm water and soap, ideally humming the theme to The Beverly Hillbillies. If you’re ill, stay home. If someone you know is a target for COVID-19 mortality, don’t visit him; call him on the phone. Try not to rub your eyes, lick your fingers, cup your chin, chew your fingernails, or scratch your head — something that’s harder to do than you might think. Watch a Joe Biden video, and since he’s generally making no sense, notice instead how often he breaks these rules. Thank God he’s smart enough to stay in his basement; that’s one thing he’s doing right.
If you must wear a mask or gloves, buy them by the case and change them as often as possible, washing your hands after each change. And by all means, raise your immune status as previously discussed. There will eventually be effective treatment and hopefully a vaccine for COVID-19. The COVID-19 virus may even mutate and thereby pose less of a threat. Until then, trust in God, stay strong, and use your common sense.

I throw my gloves away and only buy American made masks and wash them often.
My husband wears the N 95 and only wears it 4-5 times before throwing it out. We seldom wear masks only when we have too and it is short duration.
Yes I feel for those who have to wear them much. My sons get every day sometimes twice a new mask.
The guys at Chiefio were saying the the N 95 and paper masks can be sanitized in the oven at very low heat (as low as possible.) Also a UV light will sanitize a mask.
I just use the cheap bandanas and toss them in the wash after every wearing. I have a bunch in a sealed plastic bag in the truck and another bag for the used ones. I had them anyway so I saw no reason to buy anything else.

There are cotton masks that can be washed in boiling water (our washing machines heat their own water, so we can get up to about 200°F) but they’re thicker (and probably a lot more durable)…

I want to address something I saw here today–don’t even remember who was discussing moving our capitol from D.C. I agree with much of what was said about Washington, D.C. and the evil there, which goes back to its founding. However, if the U.S. capitol is ever relocated to Denver, a center for the globalists and the U.N., or Salt Lake City or anywhere the U.N. has a base of operations, I’ll know the globalists have won. Denver is, I understand, where the U.N. globalists plan to establish the new capitol. I began to realize how evil it was when I was in the airport and the artwork was described to me and I found out the U.N.had offices in the basement level of the airport.

Removing GA and AZ from Biden without giving them to Trump is 27 votes, Biden still has 279 to trump’s 232. No matter what, he still wins if that’s all we can do. (Whether or not we reduce the total count of certified votes from 538 (270 needed to win) to 511 (256 needed to win), Biden beats that number.
We’ve got to have one more state (other than Nevada) off the suspect list, and then, depending on whether we FLIP them or Just eliminate them (and whether we reduce the total we need to get a majority of), we may have simply caused a contingent election, rather than a Trump win.
Obviously, flipping those states is preferable, but if no alternate slate of electors reaches the podium on Wednesday, I can’t see how they’d do that; they’d have to simply discard the votes they did get. (I have no idea what happened to those alternate slates that got sent in. If I had to *guess* I’d say they’re in the circular file.)
I just had a scary thought. Perhaps the dems will be allowed by their leadership to vote to disapprove SOME of the states…as long as it’s not enough to hand Trump the election. That way they have cover–“see we did kill the fraud, but the evidence in these two or three cases [enough so Biden still wins] just wasn’t as compelling.”
