Also true — a polar bear started to attack an Inuit kid in a stroller, so his grandmother went after the bear. Without weapons. And beat it to death. DO NOT MESS with Inuit grannies!

I was thinking more like $140 in quarters. I saw the story years ago, and should probably go back and find it again. Still, going after a carnivore that outweighs you by more than 10-to-1 with only what you have on the scene is badass. Very reminiscent of the recent San Francisco surprise attack on a Chinese grannie where the guy was taken away on a stretcher.
Still, she didn’t just drive it away….she killed it. I’m sure that the bear’s last thoughts were some variant of, “I could never get the hang of Tuesdays….”
Killing a polar bear is HARD, even with a big game rifle.
That is MOM INSTINCT taking over, IMO. This is why one does NOT mess with bear cubs. When mom takes over THE OTHER WAY, you do NOT kill the bear. Even a small mom bear protecting her cubs is BADASS.

I encountered a factoid somewhere in my roughly 50 years of literacy that put forth a claim. I thought the claim extreme at the time, but remember doing what I could to vet it at the time and being convinced of its accuracy at that time. It is now another time, and you’re asking me to spend time today (when I have less) — to re-evaluate my prior efforts (when I had more time) — against information sources available today (which are censored and distorted).
Scoff if you wish, laugh everything off, mock all I do — but in the larger game, you are fighting the Gods of the Copybook Headings.
Which is a pity, because I enjoy many of your posts.
What I do in these cases where I’m not gonna re-dig is just add all the details of the old validations and other minor remembrances. Possible sources of the info, etc.

I have no idea why you took it so personally, or got so bent out of shape, making me out to be your most unfavorite person on the whole blog.
You have to admit it’s an outlandish claim, by any stretch of the imagination.
I have seen a big cop, body builder type, try to kill a sick racoon by strangling it to death with a cord noose that you pull through a pole after you slip it over the sick animal’s head.
This big strong guy spent more than 10 minutes, fighting a racoon that was so sick it had laid down on my upstairs deck in broad daylight, and wouldn’t move even when I approached it. It didn’t even resist having the noose put over it’s head.
But when the officer pulled that noose tight, YOWWWW!!!!! The fight was ON 😂🤣😂
That cop was WORKING, sweating bullets, grunting, out of breath, fighting that racoon at the end of a 5-foot pole. And every time he relaxed his grip on the noose, the Racoon drew in a big gulp of air, and the fight was on AGAIN.
I’ve never seen anything like it. This racoon couldn’t have weighed more than about 15-20 Lbs., and it was kicking this big cop’s @ss, wearing him out.
Eventually the cop gave up, lifted the racoon up by the neck at the end of the pole, and dropped the pole over the side of the house, onto another wood deck below.
The racoon took off, with the noose still around its neck, dragging the pole behind it, and ran under the deck.
The pole was sticking out from under the deck, so the cop, after going downstairs and out onto the back deck, grabbed the pole, and carried the raccoon at the end of pole to the trunk of his car. The racoon just staring at him the whole way.
That was a racoon. A sick racoon. Against a big body-builder type cop, with a weapon. And that racoon wore him out. Didn’t even phase the racoon.
The chance that a little old woman, unarmed, took on a 700 to 1500 Lb. polar bear, and killed it with her bare hands, is zero! 😂 🤣 😂

Is this the usual protocol? When we encounter an absurd claim, is it SOP to speculate how it could be true?
It’s winter. You walk into a room, and see a woman’s dead body on the floor, and man holding a smoking gun.
He claims that a Polar Bear just broke through the only window, picked up the gun and shot the woman. He says he managed to wrestle the gun out of the Bear’s paw, and then the Bear jumped back through the window.
You look at the window. It’s intact and locked. You look through the window and notice that there are no tracks — bear or otherwise — in the snow outside the window.
Now the pressure is on.
Do you:
A) accept the man’s claim at face value?
B) consider the possibilities of how it might have happened as claimed?
C) invest in the new traveling circus of levitating bears who can float through solid objects and hit moving targets with a gun?
D) recognize, from a lifetime of experience and basic common sense, that no Bear, no matter how dexterous, no matter how ethereal, no matter how light, could ever shoot someone with a gun, pass through a closed window, and levitate away without leaving any tracks in the snow?

I doubt this is the exact same story. I remember “grandmother” “stroller” “parking lot” and “killing” — but it is not unusual to have run-ins with polar bears in certain areas.
But, again, there is a fundamental disconnect — are things that aren’t corroborated on the internet less real than things that actually occurred pre-internet?

Fake News (MSM capitals) was a thing in the 1700s, and Walter Duranty proved that it was a huge problem in 1930. The forces that rely on Fake News tried to convince US very recently that WE were the problem and not them, using the “fake news” propaganda push – basically as a way to deal with the problem (for them) of the internet allowing independent fact-checking. The Fake News tried to gaslight us on their Fake News.
Reminds me of a family history story/legend–I’ve never been yet able to “document” that this really happened. One of my relations/ancestors was a lumberman in Northern Michigan. At one point a bear came upon him while working in the woods. He had one of those scythe looking log rolling tools & gave a mighty swing hitting the bear in the chest. I guess it had reared up on its hind legs. It wandered off subdued.
Sometime later an Indian had a conversation that got back to the lumberjack. The Indian had come upon a dead bear in the woods & decided to skin it & collect usable meat. The chest area was filled with blood under the skin making the Indian wonder what could possibly have killed the bear like that. It was presumed this was the same bear that my relative actually killed with one blow!

I did once find an article about hubby’s dad being shot in the balls by his own father, so that tale is now “officially” verified, ’cause everything in the papers is automatically true 😉

Well that’s ironic because we were pretty sure that the “shot in the balls” story was legit. In fact my husband’s father’s ex-wife sued my husband (a minor at the time) after his father died claiming he was unable to have kids so Michael couldn’t have been his son & therefore not entitled to his meager inheritance. She lost her court case.
So the “shot in the balls” story had been around for a long time. I encountered a distant cousin of hubby’s online years ago. His dad was the younger brother of hubby’s dad’s mom but they (dad & uncle) were about the same age, Catholic family w/ many kids…
Any way this cousin said that his father had had part of his ear shot off by his own dad. Apparently his grandpa & my husband’s grandpa had both been DC area cops at some time & mishandled their service revolvers, or something. He seemed to know about the “shot in the balls” story too…
A few years back my parents got a bunch of us DNA tested for genealogy purposes & hubby was pleasantly surprised to discover he is actually his father’s son, per DNA results.
So he, Michael, was born of a man who wasn’t able (allegedly) to father children & when his dad was already in his 50’s. His mother dedicated him to the Lord, even though she was Not a believer at the time…
He has had a couple of other Abrahamic style aspects to his adventures over the years. In fact we are the only Curren’s we know, so he has no known surname relations on his dad’s side. Because of this & more I like to refer to him as “the patriarch of his own existence”…

Sometimes I think abundance is a serious pitfall for the family unit. The affluent can send their children off to college … to be taught to hate them. Poor families often have to bind together closely, even work together, to make it. Wealthier families can afford to have everyone go off in their own directions, make their own communities (for good or bad), and weaken the ties to the core family unit.
My own family certainly did better under shared adversity than we have under affluence.
I spend a lot of time reflecting on this matter now. Would it not be better to go back into a chosen level of adversity to preserve the family better and harden the next generation?

Oh, I don’t know. I’ve sort of chosen my “level of adversity” by my non-socially-compliant stance on things.
I wanted to raise my kids myself. NOT in a daycare. I wanted to volunteer at their schools, be home when they got home, all of it.
We couldn’t afford it. No way. At least not by almost anyone else’s standards. But for fifteen years, I drove junky $1500 cars, wore clothes from Goodwill (so did they), bought furniture at garage sales, and just generally lived in poverty. I also warned the kids that if they wanted higher ed, they were on their own. In hindsight, that last part was great, because the only one who went to college has turned into a leftist idiot.
And I am very close to my other two kids, and my grandkids. We stick together because life is tough and we need each other. If we all had tons of money and stuff, we’d probably not even live near each other.

On a similar note, I am seeing some really nasty anti Trump comments as the reality is setting in that he is not all knowing and able to fix all aspects of a corrupt gov. He is brillant, mentally flexible, passionate, determined … human and 1 man. No, he didn’t drain the swamp as he anticipated and as we hoped, but not for lack of trying on his part.
Hate that some built him up to super human mastermind and that all would be fixed in some grand final scene with a great ending only to eventually wake to reality and take it out on President Trump. As a career law enforcement officer, I know that the truth can be stranger than fiction.
I also know, often times, it’s more disturbing, shocking, and sickening.
If, like so many of us, you’ve been stuck at home during COVID lockdowns with a Netflix subscription, you’ve probably seen the movie “I Care A Lot.”
The film, which stars Rosamund Pike, Peter Dinklage, and Diane Weist, is an incredibly dark comedic thriller that focuses on the character Marla Grayson, played by Pike, a cruel con artist who makes her living pulling guardianship scams.
During the first gut-wrenching 20 minutes of the film, the viewer sees how Grayson preys on the elderly — conspiring with doctors and homecare workers to manipulate the legal system into granting her guardianship over the lives and assets of those who are perfectly fit mentally.
Grayson then isolates them from any remaining family and sells off their property —pocketing the profits.
In a scene almost too difficult to watch, Jennifer Peterson, played by Weist, is told by Grayson that a court has found her incapable of taking care of herself and that she is to be placed under care. She is abruptly told to pack a bag and effectively kidnapped from her home under threat of arrest.
But what makes this scene and the film of which it is a part even more disturbing, is the sickening fact that such scenes unfold in real life with shocking regularity.
Guardianship and conservatorship abuse have been in the news a lot lately, with the personal plight of pop star Britney Spears shedding light on the issue.

Saw a story in the new yorker about a woman that worked with a crooked judge in Las Vegas. Written from the view point of the daughter. She spent days with her parents and then one day they were gone and all their belongings were gone and the house was for sale.

Years ago, when we remodeled our kitchen, we were (briefly) involved with a dishonest contractor. When we learned how to use the search function of our local courts to see how many and what type of lawsuits he was involved with, and had gone to his shop and saw how many contracts he currently had, given the 11-week timetable we had been given, we could calculate that roughly 1 out of 7 jobs this guy did involved litigation.
But there was a single case that wasn’t typical of his usual mods operandi…..and it looked like a conservatorship case.
Grifters gonna grift.
Just to give you a window into contracting…..you can build anything you want with a handyman. You give him tasks, and he is paid for labor (by the hour) and materials. What a Contractor, with a Contractor’s License, can do is “bid your job” — take a project and give you a binding estimate for just getting what you want — a new building, a new parking lot, whatever. Package deal.
Your average good-guy Contractor will do ten deals, and on one, he’ll lose an embarrassing amount of money but will still complete it to salvage his honor. Another one, he’ll lose a little, but it really won’t be clear how much until the bean-counters get done applying overhead. Two more, he will just break even, and wonder why he’s doing this when he goes home at night. Three more, he will make wages — they’ll be ok wages, but still….
Two more of the jobs will make good Contractor profits. He rolled the dice and got paid 2:1.
And the last one….smooth, so smooth….he’ll make bank. Everything worked in his favor and stuff happened and he made a good chunk.
And, BTW, for every 10 jobs you get 3 customer blowups [who’d probably be a lousy reference] and — for every 20 jobs — you get sued. Mind you, the lawsuits can be from the ones you finished at a loss or the ones where you only made wages…..some people will just take to the courts.
But that’s the sort of life you lead as an honest Contractor. Ten jobs: —, -, ., ., +, +, +, ++++, ++++, +++++. You’d have ended up with 10 +’s at wages, but you became a Contractor and net 12 instead.
I’m guessing my brother, who was a contractor/business owner for a number of years, would agree, to some degree, w/ this view.
The exact numbers can change a bit, but I structured that on several Contractors around here.
When you get to be a BIG Contractor, then you get “massaging the Government” into your costs, and might never have to produce a worthwhile result, which changes the game a bunch.
But your average roofing Contractor; or plumbing Contractor; or housing Contractor…..that’s pretty much the way things work.
And, BTW, smart owners make sure their jobs are always on the plus side. If someone low-bids your job to get work and is going to lose money, he won’t put forth his best efforts on your job and will HIDE defects. It’s better to review the job in detail and be able to say, “looks like you’ll score a few grand — I hope you do — let me know if I can help.” If low-bid can’t explain how he makes money, it’s better to move to the next.
When I had this house re-roofed, we got to the end and I asked the guy how much he had made on it. It was within $200 of how much I thought he should make on it, I showed him my calcs, and congratulated him on doing well. You can’t expect people to work for free.
My brother got called in to correct other contractor’s mistakes & he was apparently good at it.
My husband’s brother had a contractor persona before becoming an orthopedic surgeon–he still got to use tools. iirc he still love channel locks, for surgery!
As a contractor he was too perfectionistic & often lost money on jobs because he’d eat the costs of things. Though he was a good source of manhood-training for hubby in his teen years 🙂
That’s why you have multiple tools — there are some uses where one is better than another.
Yes. Our one son is becoming a serious tool guy now that he’s working a tech job w/ his pre-law philosophy degree. Funny, his boss still hasn’t installed the promised couch in the workplace!
At the shop there is a tool peddler who comes around once or twice a week & Brandon & his co-workers buy tools off the truck regularly.
He’s gotten his car’s trunk filled w/ tools & sometimes does brake jobs &/or oil changes for friends, sort of as a ministry outlet…He bailed my husband out the other week on completing a repair on our daughter’s truck. My husband was under the truck & got a seriously bad case of vertigo so that he couldn’t finish the job. We had B over for dinner & car repair & he got to wear the old man’s Carhart coveralls, from back in the day, & finish the job after dark & w/ a brutal winter wind whipping down the street–fun times!
If he ever leaves the current job he’ll need a truck to remove his toolbox & personal job site tool collection!
The Tool Man can be almost like your local drug dealer…you just can’t stop buying. 😁

Oh, and BTW — the most important person in a Contractor’s shop is the estimator. The actual Contractor is public relations.

Ever since her public breakdown in the mid-00s, Britney has been legally in her family’s conservatorship. She is legally not allowed to control her own finances, career decisions, or much else in her life. The story has gotten weirder over the years with accusations that the conservators are keeping her prisoner, and even using body doubles on her social media pages to maintain some illusion that she’s not being held hostage.

In the same way that the Nazi statists absorbed much of the non-Jewish KPD as “beefsteak” Nazis (brown on the outside, red on the inside), and folded in the military despite the latter’s earlier hesitancy by “taking out” somebody who concerned them (the SA), I see the leftist Democrats absorbing the “security state right”, RINOs, GOPe, and the military through a similar “unity” move which will include taking out “patriots” as a “loyalty test” of the right and the military. I have used the term Bidenistas for the left wing of the new statism, and Bidenazis for the “right”, even though, yeah, it’s both left, but they are dragging in right-buy just like before.
I think the difference here will be absorption of the TOP END more than the BOTTOM END. The LEFT and the RIGHT at the top will all agree on control of the masses and dispossession of the non-cooperating middle class. The betrayal of Medicare will be the start. Now that elections don’t matter, the elderly can be betrayed more easily, and I expect it to be surprisingly fast. Even FDR will be pissed at what happens – betrayal of even the hidden low end of his promise.
Some things VERY important to remember are what are nicely described as relativistic effects. INSIDE the Biden future, a lot of really nasty stuff will not look radical to most, who lack historical reference that they can bring with them into the now-speeding train. Everything will seem normal inside the train. But it will not be normal. Looking at what COMPANIES are doing to help keep track of people helps me pin down WHERE in the 1930s we really are. One difference – these “contractors” are just chomping at the bit to do the informing that neighbors won’t.
Very ugly. Utter contempt for people like me is going to be a big virtue signal once people get scared to be a “patriot” enough by whatever big fear event is coming.

It is Bill and Hillary at the opening of the Caracol Industrial Park in Haiti in 2012. The anchor tenant is Sae-A, which is South Korean, NOT Chinese. The alleged “shipping container” behind them is appears to be a garage door or some type of entrance into the Sae-A factory floor. Ground Report from the University of Michigan Hospital, this week.
Since our last visit about 4 months ago there are perhaps 2-4X as many people present, though previously it was nearly a ghost town.
Mask signs, etc. everywhere. They do a health check (Q’s on a sign) & pass out masks at every entrance. I said I had a medical exemption but took the offered mask & put in my bag.
My son needed bloodwork so we headed to the nearest lab to that entrance to discover that entire lab was Only doing Covid testing.
We proceeded to the lab near the appointment & I wasn’t challenged about no mask at either lab or by pedestrians we passed. No wait in either lab, per waiting rooms.
Checking in for the appointment we were asked the same health Q’s & I was challenged to put on a mask so again claimed medical exemption (there was no problem w/ that at the last appointment).
There were maybe a half dozen other people in the clinic waiting area before we were called back for the appointment. They still had tipped over chairs fencing in the check-in/out staff along w/ plastic shields between staff & the room.
Staff person that conducted us to the clinic room didn’t do the usual vital checks & stood very far away, at least 10 feet from us & didn’t enter the room nor do the usual med check/paperwork initially.
After waiting 10-15 minutes someone knocked on the door claiming to be the “clinic manager” & there was a uniformed officer (security guard?) standing behind her. She said that the staff refused to see us if I didn’t put a mask on. I said I had a medical exemption. She asked if I had paperwork with me documenting this & I said I did not. She said I had to put a mask on & leave it on the Entire Time we were in the clinic. I said “fine” as I had one with me & put it on. After she left I pulled it below my nose, where it usually was the rest of the visit.
Security never said a word but his presence seemed like a form of intimidation. In recounting our day Josiah is most apt to talk about “mom almost getting thrown out of the hospital by security” even though I’ve tried to temper his version when I catch him telling others…sigh…
The staff that came in may have been the same female who showed us to the room. She was young, white, & had a BLM pin on her uniform…whatever!
Just like our last visit to the Liver Transplant Clinic we saw a Physician’s Assistant, instead of the doctor (both appointments were scheduled “with” the Dr.) We haven’t seen the Doctor since my son’s hospitalization for transplanted liver rejection since last summer.
After the appointment we ran several in-hospital errands:
Guest Services Walk-in Office still closed (social work type services)
Art Work rotating displays were still offered
Secondary check-in to access Mott Hospital (children’s) yielded another OK health sticker
Chapels & religious care offices closed, w/ signs w/ numbers to call for help

On another clinic floor saw an “any gender” bathroom–spit
On drive in & out many outdoor pedestrians were maskless, unlike last time.
Self-observation, I chose to keep the mask on, below my nose &/or mouth, most of the rest of the time at the hospital. It made me feel “safer”, as in less likely to be accosted by others, & it felt like camouflage blending in w/ the sheeple & mask-nazis–grrr! I was appalled & demoralized by this sensation of preferring to avoid the confrontations. No one questioned my nose &/or mouth exposed–if they had I would have claimed the medical exemption & possibly removed the mask entirely.
The hospital still doesn’t even remotely feel like it did before the fake pandemic…
On the personal/medical side we had lengthy discussions based on the available liver bloodwork data w/ the PA. There was a likelihood that one or more meds might finally get reduced–he’s been on this higher dose cocktail for roughly 6 months now (takes 25 pills/day–yikes).
Anyway near the end of the visit the PA refreshed the lab results & discovered at least one liver number in a troubling range, a pretty big change. This meant that they might need to do another biopsy, though she thought that this time it would be out-patient if needed. Alternatively/additionally there might need to be a more recent blood draw than in another month.
Josiah did not appear to be having any illness & seemed completely fine. He has been slightly more active, from an exercise standpoint, recently. Because of this the PA ordered some type of muscle enzymes test to be done on the hospital labs, which could use the blood already drawn thankfully.
The day after the visit we got called by the doctor’s nurse (I think she mostly works from home for we haven’t seen her or her retired predecessor at the recent clinic visits). They want Josiah to stop All Exercise for more than a week & get labs again next week later, probably on Friday.
They are mailing another muscle enzymes lab order to us to add to the standing lab orders for next week’s blood draw. They hope the problematic liver numbers will improve w/ no exercise. No biopsy is needed–yet…Also no med changes unfortunately…Josiah has chronic kidney disease, so reducing medicine strains on the kidneys is desirable.
Josiah was Very Upset about the exercise prohibition as he’s finally been out of the house, to the gym, shooting hoops in the yard, or walking w/ his fiancee for a couple weeks.
I guess if you think of him please pray that his liver will continue to heal & that he’ll be able to adjust to the various changes w/out so much upheaval.
So things are mostly good, but still not “resolved”. It’s possible that his liver will never return to the pre-rejection level of functioning but hopefully, & God willing, that will not be the case.

If I may interject. As an IT professional, I noticed a few things about the whole thing that got me thinking.
If you look at the pattern drawn by the ship before entering the canal, take note that the ship was on a straight course before drawing the vulgarity. This would mean the ship was not planning on drawing anything. Just going into the canal to do the exact same that they always did. And using a canal is symbolic of a birthing canal. Things are about to happen worldwide. The birthing of the information coming from this mess will be the beginning of the end of the deep state.
Those ships are on auto pilot most of the time. The computers do the work. I am suggesting that the ships computers were hacked. My suspicions lean toward the White Hats. This was part of the plan.
The ship had left c[h]yna days before. Heading for the Netherlands. So, its cargo was
updated from babies and children (for 4dr3n41chr0m3) to teenagers and young adults (for s3x trade). The children cannot testify as to where they have been and what they have been through. The teenagers and young adults can tell what they have been through.
Once the ship went back on course, I am guessing the Captain and the driver decided that the hack was gone, and they had full control again. Looking at the Suez on maps, they went aground in one of the most narrow spots of the canal. The White Hat hackers waited till the ship was there, then took control again and ran it aground at full speed. The ships Captain said there was a blackout. That means the ships systems must have went dead. Our Space Force has blacked out entire countries recently. They were hacked during reboot of the ships systems. A vulnerable time for computers that have a virus, where the virus allows the hacker to take control.
The phallus and but, drawn by the first hack, were communications letting the crew and the Deep State know that they are f00k3d. The fallout from unloading the crates in order to get the ship fixed and out of the canal will be huge.
And let’s look at the fact that the Soviet Navy vessels are on one side and the US Navy vessels on the side the ship came from. White Hats are in control. They planned this. The ship cannot escape. Their crimes will be televised.

Some of this had occurred to me earlier in the week, actually. Like the reality that the ship is going to have to be unpacked in order to move it. The weight has to be holding it in place. I didn’t actually know about the autopilot thing, but if that’s true, there’s every chance that, yes, somebody did this on purpose, especially given the specific spot the ship is. If it really is a shallow part of the canal, this may not have been an accident.
Like I said, this theory just can’t be dismissed out of hand.

He believes there needs to be stringent control groups that do not take the vaccine and he also believes Covid is related to Prion disease.
I believe that in the 1918 influenza it would be difficult to determine how many people died from the virus because of WWI, the extreme cold (a lot of people froze to death because of a lack of heating fuel).

We knew there were some diseases that were spread by something far too small to see in a microscope or to be filtered out, and that had to be in living tissue to reproduce (unlike bacteria that can grow in a petri dish filled with nutrient goo).

On the previous page, I posted about this. The gist is that an IT person believes that the white hats grounded the ship on purpose after hacking into the ship’s guidance system.
Wheatie and I had an exchange about it. The reality is that the containers are going to have to come off of the ship before it can be dislodged. It’s just too heavy.
Also of interest, IMO, is there are reports from Michael DeLauzon that two motorcades left Mar-A-Lago late Tuesday night and none have been spotted going back into the compound. President Trump DID NOT appear at his club yesterday or today, I understand.
Also of interest in this case, Monkey Werx who watches the skies for air traffic patterns and anomalies DID NOT post a video of his observations yesterday. He hasn’t as yet today, either. The last time POTUS snuck out of Mar-A-Lago at night, he spotted the flight leaving the area.
We may not see it, but it looks like it’s happening. I don’t know anyone who had “block the Suez Canal with a huge container ship” on their Q bingo card, although, I did give thought to what would happen if we blew up the Panama Canal with a bunch of Chinese ships in it.

FWIW, I was on the Enterprise when it went through the ditch in 1986. Can’t recall any infrastructure along the canal itself. Desert, with what looked like a service road on both sides.
I do recall the Enterprise, anchored and doddled in a holding area in the Red Sea, the night before entering the canal. Every ship’s movement is orchestrated going through the canal. Don’t recall, but rather sure we made a series of odd turns after weighing anchor, killing time, before meeting our appointed time to enter the canal.
As I understand it, it’s lliterally a ditch dug between the Med and the Red Sea. Pretty basic. There are no locks or anything like that. If that’s correct then there’s no way to control the water level except to deliberately warm (or chill) the earth and cause glaciers and icecaps to melt/grow and change the sea level up or down. (We’d want “up” so throw another log on the fire.)
That was my understanding also. So, to me, the answer is dredge under the ship, engage more tugs…
I’ve been in one of Singapore’s container ports. It’s an awesome site watching those gantry cranes on / off load containers, pulling containers off of truck chassis or setting them on a chassis.
IF the containers are pulled off the ship, they need to be set down somewhere.
Which brings on the need to lay the containers on the ground. Solid ground. Stack the containers? How high. The latter, cranes with more height, likely reach…

Haven’t looked at the charts for that canal, but they might be able to get “Lighter” barge(s) under her stern if the water is deep enough(a “LASH” is likely too big and draws too much, but would be even more capable).
Might also be able to use her stern anchor(s) (assuming she has them), or by “breasting” her anchors and using her windlass to “Kedge-Off” (provided that the tugs can haul her anchors).
Yup. Reducing ballast can help, so long as they don’t let her get too top heavy…potentially tip over.

V = fixed wing. Used for ships and squadrons of fixed wing AC / aircraft.
H= helicopter. Again ships or squadrons of helicopter AC / aircraft.
TRIVIA. Once upon a time we had a CVT. aircraft carrier for training pilots of fixed wing aircraft. USS Lexington.
Lexington started out as a regular CV, but capabilities down graded to train Naval pilots.
Naval being BOTH Navy and Marine Corps services.

I should note that we currently have 11 operating carriers — 10 Nimitz and one Ford. They are classified as “supercarriers” because they are significantly more capable than previous generations of carriers.
There are six other US “carriers” in that they can carry, launch, and retrieve aircraft. These are smaller and must use specialized aircraft like VTOL, helicopters, or drones.
I think that was just a (never-seen) character’s name in the Indiana Jones Universe.

Nuclear carriers are, of course, even more amazing. They can pull up to dock at a good sized city, and run “jumper cables”, and provide enough electricity to run the city with their surplus.
They run a portable “air traffic control” for their region, as well as an “airport control tower” for their mobile “airport” — complicated by the fact that they don’t have a dedicated taxiway.
In San Diego, CA the USS Midway is a really good tour. Once things get back to normal put it on the bucket list.
