While I tend not to believe in homeopathy, it does obey the idea of “first, do no harm”.
I *am* a believer in low-dose, however, as something which not only works in a lot of cases, but which needs more investigation, understanding, and practice.
Mankind survived for thousands of years with ‘homeopathy’, boss.
It is the basis for today’s modern medicine.
At a time when our trust in doctors is being shattered…and realizing that Big Pharma wants to keep us sick…it’s good to have homeopathy to fall back on.
Just wait until the public realizes that the medical community has been lying to the public all along, and 80-90% of all prescriptions, diagnosis, and medical procedures were either unnecessary, unwarranted, or could have been treated with cheap drug alternatives (ie. homeopathy).
Because let’s face it….most people become doctors for the $$, and if $$ wasn’t the #1 reason, it was in the top 2-3 reasons.
I told a doctor that I had not seen one in there office over 30 years he said to me ” stay out of hospitals and you will live a long life.”
Yes doctors want to prescribe meds. My doctor has given up and I only see him once a year. Often I ask myself why I even see him. I do like that I get a blood test that is good and does catch thinks early.
That is what I do, too. Blood work once a year, to see how things are going.
If I could do it to myself, I’d never see a doctor. I know there are labs out there that will do blood work for me, but I couldn’t draw my own blood I don’t think.
I dislike needles never poke myself 🙂
When you order the blood work yourself, you go to a local lab (depending on which lab the company you choose, uses). Then the lab submits your sample and you are sent the results.
I know that I don’t have the expertise to draw blood, and I would not be able to do it on myself.
I buy my tests online, then go to Quest for blood draw. I’ve become pretty good at researching what the values mean, been doing it for others and now myself for over 5 years. ‘I’ have to monitor and manage my own iron and ferritin values frequently and respond accordingly. Doctors have ZERO clue.

I’ve found the 2 cheapest sites for LabCorp and Quest tests. They have periodic sales. I purchased my August annual test back in March for 20% off. 🤸♀️🤸♀️ Each test has a 6 month time limit.
FYI, the labs do all the leg work for you. All the tests have ranges, so if the values fall within you’re deemed normal. It’s only when they aren’t and you are higher or lower than the range (clearly flagged on test results) should the Doctors or you should pay attention. I’ve seen many times where Docs ignore an H or an L here and there. I know now to always go behind them and verify my lab work. I was able to take some here and theres, combined with symptoms, and diet, and ward off Kidney Stones. I also literally saved myself from death when I found a very important L that they missed. At this point my practice of medicine is better than their practice.

You still have to monitor within range. Oncologist and cardiologists are very particular about changes within range, esp if they are creeping one direction.
The range is established based on the average population that is tested. This tends to be older and sicker. So do additional research. Low carb, keto also makes a difference.

A lot of conditions can also be treated with diet. I cut caffeine down to two cups of tea in the morning, and the difference has my joints A LOT less achy. Also ditching MSG, artificial sweeteners, most sugars, etc., makes a big difference.

I’m talking about this thing (dilution of analogous poisons to zero) invented in 1796 that is basically irrational, but which actually succeeds in many cases through a wonderful combination of:
(1) placebo effect
(2) most things just get better with patience and attention to basics
(3) no actual overdoses with real drugs, which often have side effects, don’t work, are all about the money, etc. (see killer quackery of failed money-pit Remdesivir)
I regard homeopathy as a kind of lovable underdog which is really an accidental scientific control TROLLING all the sins of regular medicine (or as the homeopaths call them, allopaths). Homeopathy is the literal embodiment of “first, do no harm”, and was even founded, in a sense, by the founder’s innate distaste for the poisoning of patients by crappy old drugs of that era, often relying on “alchemical” beauties like mercury which “worked” because they were basically poisons, killing microbes before larger organisms.
I respect homeopathy like an innocent bystander, which is far less blameworthy than the malevolent mafia medicine we have in big pharma now (Fauci, Gilead, Gates, current Pfizer, current Merck, sadly), but not as good as the “best” of patient-centered front-line medicine which figures out quickly what works and what doesn’t (Zelenko, Raoult, old Merck, old Lilly, etc.).
Big Pharma has been taken over by a literal mafia. I have stories I’m SAVING FOR COURT – gotta SAVE that ammo – but if I told you now, you would understand how dirty they’ve become.

Herbs and traditional remedies actually use active substances in active concentrations. Homeopathy is an abstraction so far removed from the original proposition that it is unlikely to do anything.
That’s Western traditional medicine – completely analogous to Chinese traditional medicine or Native American medicine. That is “old allopathy”. THAT was medical SCIENCE based purely on observation and practice – the literal scientific method.
The problem was that the paradigm change of organic chemistry moved pharmacy and preparation of cures even further away from the physician. We got wonderful new cures from organic chemistry – but we also got a brand new bag of problems.
But when you see “homeopathic”, that is what it literally means – something which causes symptoms similar to the disease being treated – then being diluted to nothingness. It was an interesting speculative idea at the time, but it proved to run totally counter to emerging science.
Now here is some cool science. There is nothing that I know of that forbids a universe where homeopathy works – where space and things in it are literally imprinted at some active level with memories of their pasts. But everything we know about this universe seems to show no sign of either the imprinting or reading of “material memories beyond the materials themselves”. There is some possibility that such effects could still be found, but it seems unlikely, and at present, I have no need for that hypothesis, so to speak – even for my belief in God. 😃
And all this time I thought that the term ‘homeopathy’ just referred to all natural herbal cures and home remedies.

Another fact which many people do not know is that many of the earlier “drugs” were simply a product of isolating the active principle in plant materials (oftentimes time-tested by native uses or tradition), and then synthesizing that principle so that a “new” product might be marketed…and, in general, restricted by prescription.
There is an European Herbal Pharmacopeia which ab 15-20 years ago was first made available, translated to English.
MDs in Europe can write for herbals, or some do, bc the production of certain product is highly monitored as to potency and efficacy.
There are Monographs available, as reprints from this pharmacopeia, on individual plants, their analyses, studies, and application to various diagnoses.
For example, Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) is listed as a prescription for benign prostatic hyperplasia, and it is the plant material which is utilized in formulating the script, not a synthesis of an active principle.
I do not know whether such prescriptions remain available, but the monographs may be located with a bit of effort.
They are remarkably informative, and include thorough analysis of the chemistry involved, and standardized Studies which justify their use for whichever diagnosis is being studied.
You can find a great example with cinchona bark.
The cinchona plant was discovered in South America, and knowledge was hoarded. A decoction (boil the #$%@ out of it, because it doesn’t really dissolve in water) was used to heal fevers in royalty, and the secret spilled out.
This caused a “gold rush” effect, where people started scouring the jungles for this plant — and it turns out that Cinchona officinalis is not the best source for the extract — many other related species have more. Once the primary healing part was identified, it became known as quinine.
Soon, things got labeled “xxxx% quinine” to evaluate extracts from all the plants that had some. Then there was synthesized quinine, then nicely-buffered well-behaved hydroxycloroquine.
But the substance was so useful that it was used every step of the way.
cthulhu, Yes! fascinating. And many other such active principles require buffering, with marshmallow being among one such plant utilized.
I have about 12 ounces of cinchona bark on a shelf about 24″ to my left. I got it months ago. I’d rather have standardized, pure, buffered hydroxycloroquine (I could more easily adjust dose by weight, to cite only one reason) — but the murderous bastards in “healthcare” have made it a prescription medication and banned it…..then banned doctors prescribing it, then banned pharmacists dispensing it, then youfoob and twatter banned discussing it in order to maximize the death toll.
It was OTC (over-the-counter) in France until 1/15/20 [ https://www.trustnodes.com/2020/03/30/france-banned-chloroquine-days-before-first-western-scientific-report-on-pandemic ]. Someone signed the order taking it off the market. That person would be a great candidate to be slowly lowered into a pool of molten lead until they disclosed who had told them to do that and released every document involved.

My late husband had severe allergies and was told by several allopathic MD’s that he would need to take allergy shots and drugs for the rest of his life.
Instead, he looked around and found a Homeopathic MD who practiced at the old Hahnemann Homeopathic Hospital in San Francisco. This doctor made a compound for my husband that he took for 10 years. The compound completely eliminated the allergies.
I had a co-worker that went weekly for allergy shots. It just never made sense to me to get one’s self injected with dirt and dog hair, much less the laundry list of other substances he talked about. Sounds like a racket to me.
Herbalists have gotten more sophisticated by understanding and using the science behind the herbs and traditional treatments.
I think most herbalists also have a real desire to help, versus the desire for money which is an infectious disease amongst allopathic doctors.

The letting time heal is probably the best part of homeopathy. Give the body the right nutrients, time and rest, and it will heal.

All too often though it ends up being water under the bridge, then you do have to try to figure out which pound of cure is best.

Homeopathy is not the same as natural medicines.
Homeopathy is based on the premise that the lower the dose the more effective it is. They dilute the active ingredient, sometimes so much that there may not be so much as a single molecule of it in the dose. How can it possibly do anything for you (beyond a placebo effect) at that point?
Herbs can help also herbal tea but need to be consumed in small quantities when appropriate. To often the hype is this is good and people take it if sick or not. Dr Weil whom I respect one time said ” if we take herbal medicine , that is what it is, when there is no need then what are we going to take when sick?”
For instand I only drink a cup of mint tea when I have an upset stomach no other time.
Only make a potion of hot water lemon, grated ginger and honey when I feel a cold coming on no other time. I use herbs and teas as medicine not just drink it when ever.
I only drink herbal liquor after a particular meal for digestion not for fun. I learned this also from my grandmothers.

Alcohol comes to mind. A small amount of alcohol every day is healthy. My grands and great-grands drank one small shot daily, no more. Remember those teeny-tiny antique cordial glasses? But we don’t do it that way anymore.

It has been a bad allergy season, Wheatie. I usually have mild symptoms, but this year it’s hitting me a lot harder. Could be the combination of leftover Covid symptoms plus all the pollen.
The leftists are blaming it on ‘climate change’.

But I think it’s a combination of wind patterns and the fact that some areas had an early Spring, while others had a late Spring.
This has led to a longer pollen season.

I park out side, and we had two bouts with pollen this year.
It was so thick, I had to brush it off my windshield before I could rinse it off…otherwise it was a sort of mud.
we have had a bit of see saw weather, which, I agree, has contributed.
The cottonwoods are doing their thing right now. We’ll see what happens when that clears.
I’m sure that’s all it is.

Yes, allergies, and accompanying headaches, have been horrendous this year. I am finally getting control over non-stop watery, runny eyes & nose, sneezing, ear, eye pain and headaches.
This has been my routine for several years. I take a Zyrtec daily, which stops a lot of symptoms. If it’s real bad, then I add a Sudafed (Kroger brand) low dose, as many as needed until symptoms stop. Minor days 1-2, bad days up to 6. May take Aspirin PRN for pounding headaches, that the Sudafed won’t stop.
Back in December I started using Serrapeptase. It’s a mucous thinner. It’s totally diminished the need for daily Sudafed. Some weeks, I haven’t taken any! 🤸♀️🤸♀️ Helped me to figure out recent headaches were due to low iron, not sinuses.

Unfortunately, I’m allergic to aspirin…so I use Ibuprofen instead.
Guaifenesin and Benadryl work pretty well for me with the mucous & watery eyes/runny nose…since I get some bad side effects with most everything else.
What is going on with the weather? It hit 102 today and is forecast to hit 116(!!!!) by next Monday. It never gets that hot here!

We had a heat wave for 2 weeks…its your turn i guess. Vegas is supposed to be 115 multiple days next week. We didnt have the normal june gloom transition this year, but we also had nearly zero rain through winter and spring. Very bad water year, esp after those great storms 2 yrs ago.

giloo, for several years my Daddy had a trailer, as a pitstop, in Las Vegas, where I was able to visit him on occasion. These temps are not that unusual in that area. Once I visited him, and it was 110-111 if you were in the sun, the entire time I was there.
Also, a good friend of mine lived in Apache Junction AZ, ab an hr E of Phoenix.
Once when i visited her in Aug (an IE test which I failed), the temp was 114 in the sun the entire time I was there.

There is no guilt in seeing someone in need of assistance.
But choosing not to help them?

You are uniquely qualified, more so than at least 95% (probably higher) of the population, to show and explain and bring her up to speed. Your Mom has an expert in the house. She has no idea how lucky she is, that not only do you understand the big picture, the medium picture and the small picture, but you also have the capability to explain it and show it in a way that is easy to understand.
Your Mom is so fortunate to have someone like you to explain it to her, she should be skipping the light fandango, and turning cartwheels ‘cross the floor 👍 😁

Why? Why wouldn’t she be grateful to be shown that she was wrong, that she can stop believing something that is untrue, she can stop fearing something that isn’t true, and start believing in something that is true, and she will be better off in every way?
Believing things that are not true is unhelpful at best, and deadly at worst.
Believing things which are true, and which we can back up with facts and evidence, is empowering.
Normal, healthy people, given the opportunity, will choose learning what is true over believing something that is false nearly every time. Even if it’s only so they won’t feel left out or embarrassed when being around other people who do know the truth.
That’s one of the least noble reasons to embrace the truth, but by setting the bar so low, nearly every member of the species cannot help but surmount it. 👍

Finally did a covid anti body test. I was pretty sure I had it January 2020. Results were negative. From January 2020 through June 2021 I traveled for business and here are my rough numbers.
Flew about 45,000 miles. About 90 flights.
Drove about 40,000 miles.
Visited 13 States, about 330 cities.
This year have more hotel days then days at home.
So, how contagious is this thing again? Next step is to have the wife tested as she was sick as a dog in January 2020. If she is positive, then I can use that to convince her that she married superman.
If their antibody test is as good as their COVID test, I’m not sure I’d trust it at all.
It is a blood draw so I have better faith in that then some swab test.

Just unreal. If this was a movie script, that Boris Johnson’s father is the author of multiple books on depopulation / population control, the writer would be laughed out of the building.

Interestingly I just watched an episode of The Crown (focuses on British Monarchy, mostly Elizabeth II’s reign) last night. In it there was a Marburg file that detailed some aspects of the Nazi connections of the 20th century king (Edward?, given/nick name of David) who abdicated for American divorcee Wallis Walford Simpson, iirc…hmmm
I don’t personally know the significance of the word Marburg but just share this tidbit.
I would ignore that show altogether.
