Clarifying my opinion (no need to respond):
He seemed unhinged to me (unsettled, distraught). I didn’t say he broke any laws.
Regarding leaders, I’m not referring to Sisolak, but to people like PDJT and world leaders, to governors, mayors, and people not in office who are stepping up to the plate. They don’t conduct themselves in that manner.
I fully understand that some people are rough around the edges. I appreciate them. Sometimes they will do the jobs of all kinds that no one else will, and their zeal is an asset.
I agree that respect is earned and the “position” does not earn it. I didn’t say the guy should have shown respect. There are very effective ways to demonstrate lack of respect like turning your back, refusing a handshake, quietly stating what you think, etc.
I’m not coming down on the guy. I completely understand and agree with his sentiments. I’m just saying that that behavior is cringeworthy to me, and that, IMO, there comes a point where the behavior reflects so strongly on the actor that it can detract from the message. YMMV.

I’ve spent time with oil-men (and one woman), construction workers and the like. Many of them talk like this. Yes, they swear a lot. They are rough around the edges. They have dirty jobs, calloused hands, and hard lives.

What you might be seeing is that the initial comment space that loads on the page (and depending on what the page is bogged down with advert wise) is now smaller, three to four comments. I think you should watch it. Don’t mistake what the above sentence means.
Only using the “direct quotes” of Jesus’ and others’ words from the Bible would not result in “conversation.” A conversation does not consist of “quotes,” so they have to flesh it out some to make it flow as a natural conversation would.
The conversation depicted between Jesus and Nicodemus here does NOT, in my humble opinion at least, violate Scripture.
But you should watch and decide. I would be interested to hear your take on it, if you do.
I will not apologize for not corrupting my faith, and that includes fictional accounts of Biblical scenes. For detail filling, the mystics have a lot to offer. Just St. Bridget of Sweden’s visions of the Wedding at Cana fill in a lot of the back story.
I thought they did a near-optimal job. Maximum direct quotation, minimum supposition. Very impressive. Everything is strongly in accord with what is known about Nicodemus, IMO.

We had this discussion awhile back with the guy’s video that disses it without ever seeing it.
We are in the pay it forward group since it is crowd funded. It has exploded worldwide with over 368 million views of episodes through their app. Yes – they take liberties, to get people to think outside the box and entice them to read scripture and think about their salvation and walk with Christ.
The accounts we read in The Word are about people living real world lives. The show producer openly states repeatedly they are fictional dialogs that tie into scriptural events. During and before completion, the scripts are reviewed by a small group that includes a theologian, pastors, and a rabbi with the central question being answered before production as to whether they are plausible. The professional actors come from all faith backgrounds and levels of spiritual maturity. The actor playing Jesus is devout RCC while the producer is a non-denominational evangelical as examples.
You have linked one of my favorite scenes. Season 2, Episode 8 is another. There are many great scenes. The scripts are written and production is underway for Season 3. There will be 7 seasons taking it post resurrection. If all goes well there will be other productions that follow The Chosen as the team is building incredible new facilities in Texas that will enable them to grow and provide more scripture based TV productions.
So, answer me this question. How is not watching “The Chosen” due to the source material any different from not watching or dissing “The Passion of the Christ” because there are “extra-Biblical” details that come from the mystics, and the Stations of the Cross? That did happen.
Artistic interpretation is always on the table when it comes to Christian art, but the sources are a different story.
I’d suggest that you may be better armored than most should you watch and as such may well be in a better position to appreciate what you’ll see. Personally I did notice where the series and scenes were adding in material, mostly historical context that touched on shards of prevalent beliefs, thoughts and notions of the day, (many of which it shattered or linked too as befitting) to give it a more authentic feel which it does well, but I was unable to see anything contrary to scripture. To me it was an added and fortifying experience as the background of the times was filled in, in a rather authentic way.

Do we really want to pretend Jesus did not really eat, drink, go potty, have gas, get tired, sleep in a tent, get disturbed, make funny remarks, love his family and friends, have his favorites, and so on? He was actually born of woman, a real human being, who later sweated blood at the thought of His coming trials and crucifixion. Did he really practice giving The Sermon on the Mount? Was Matthew actually brilliant, estranged from his family, despised by Peter, and autistic? Don’t know, wasn’t there, but it sure makes for good Christian art and discussion IMO.

Can’t answer because I watched them both. How is dissing anything we know very little about acceptable? Some say it is OK to do so, others don’t agree. I don’t see how you can educate or counsel others credibly without knowing.
IMO it is a personal choice each person makes. Your theology is different from mine. Our hope is the primary beliefs are the same. I can handle the interpretation of both being different than what I may believe because I am interested in other viewpoints. They do not weaken my faith, they strengthen it. I test them against the interpretation of scripture I have in my head and heart from my walk with Him.
As you say with those two, it is art.
I have seen Christian art portrayed on film with Jesus as a flaming homosexual along with some of his disciples as well as with Him being portrayed as Mary Magdalene’s lover. I wanted to see how Satan was trying to twist and manipulate so I could counsel weaker Christians and youth.

I watched “The Passion of the Christ” and the ten minutes of “The Chosen” here with the same heart that I live my life with. My beliefs are strong. What gets to live in that heart relies on those beliefs, not on anything in the temporal world.

I will be bugging out for a few as we have a family project going that is taking a lot time. We have been reviewing and will be compiling a “memories” books and keepsakes of each family in our tree over the course of the year for our descendants. A current major undertaking is the review of my FIL’s WWII POW and related post war documents, photos, news clippings and related correspondence. One document is from one of his close POW friends who kept a daily log of the activities of their group that was under Nazi control in Jerskowitz in early 1945, which eventually led to their release. He would write things on whatever he could find including small pocket notebook he bartered for from villagers. What did he have to barter you make ask? Potato based moonshine they made for German army purposes that they would steal a little to trade.
As they were marched away from the front lines, they traveled the average of 12 miles per day for 56 days in terrible, wet, cold conditions while sleeping huddled together on the open ground and in barns occasionally. The average weight of the survivors in their group was about 125 lbs. when released. They were given a few small potatoes and watery soup daily. For protein they received horse meat or a small portion of a ground mixed substance occasionally. Some men resorted to killing and eating rodents or ate worms. For water they sometimes scooped the dew off the grass. Sometimes they would receive a Red Cross box of food, lice powder, etc. that would be split among 2-4 guys that was intended for one. Many had lice and fleas, yet, did have the opportunity to shave with cold water daily, get haircuts about every 6 weeks, and had one bath/shower per week. I will stop there, but there is much, much more.
It did not help that English fighter planes mistakenly strafed the group as they were marched by their captors. 13 men died a couple of days before their release as a result. Which is doubly sad in that all of them including the German guards knew the war would soon end.
Be thankful, things could be worse. Make this day a good one for somebody else and yourself.

On April 23rd the US Embassy in Ukraine acknowledged that there are biological laboratories in Ukraine that are under the control of the Pentagon.
The statement of diplomats came after an open letter from people’s deputies about the threats posed by these research centers to Ukrainians.
However, the Americans deny the threats and say that scientific work is being carried out for exclusively peaceful purposes. And talk of threats is written off as “Russian disinformation”.
The Ukrainian “Strana” news agency looked into this story.
What the deputies of the Rada declared
On April 14th people’s deputies from “Opposition Platform – For Life” Viktor Medvedchuk and Renat Kuzmin wrote requests to four leaders of the country: President Zelensky, Prime Minister Shmygal, Head of the SBU Bakanov, and Minister of Healthcare Stepanov.
In an appeal with reference to Serbian and Bulgarian media, it is reported that the US has more than 400 bacteriological laboratories around the world, including at least 15 in Ukraine.
There are exclusively American ones, and they are financed at the expense of the US Department of Defence. The laboratories are located in Odessa, Vinnytsia, Uzhgorod, Lvov (three), Kiev (three), Kherson, Ternopol, and near Crimea and Lugansk.
People’s deputies note that the functioning of American biolaboratories in Ukraine started during the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko and the premiership of Yuliya Tymoshenko – August 29th, 2005.
At that time, cooperation agreements were signed between the US Department of Defence and the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine for the prevention of proliferation technologies (growth of body tissue by cell division), pathogens, and expertise that can be used for the development of biological weapons.
“In fact, the work in the laboratories is carried out under the program of biological experiments. The budget is $2.1 billion and is funded by the US Defence Threat Reduction Agency. The Scientific and Technical Center in Ukraine, an international organisation funded by the American authorities and whose staff have diplomatic immunity, has also become involved in this activity. This organisation is engaged in financing projects for the creation of weapons of mass destruction,” wrote Medvedchuk and Kuzmin.
Further, the people’s deputies point out that after the launch of biolaboratories in Ukraine there were outbreaks of infectious diseases.
“So, in Ternopol in 2009 there was a virus that caused hemorrhagic pneumonia. Its victims were 450 Ukrainians. In 2011, there was an outbreak of cholera in Ukraine – 33 people died. Three years later, cholera was diagnosed already 800 citizens, another year later more than 100 cases of cholera were recorded in Nikolaev.”
People’s deputies also gave such examples. In January 2016, 20 soldiers died from an influenza-like virus in Kharkov, and more than 200 were hospitalised. Two months later, 364 deaths were recorded in Ukraine. “The reason is swine flu of the same strain of influenza that led to the global pandemic in 2009,” say Medvedchuk and Kuzmin.
They further point out that in 2017 in Nikolaev there was an outbreak of hepatitis A. In the summer of the same year there were similar hotbeds of infection in Zaporozhye and Odessa, and in the autumn – in Kharkov.
“In 2010-2012 [i.e., already under Yanukovych – ed] the Ukrainian government initiated checks to see if the laboratories comply with all safety measures. As a result, a number of gross disorders were identified that could lead to the leakage of strains of dangerous infections. The fact of extract ventilation facing the premises of a kindergarten was even recorded,” it is said in the appeal of Medvedchuk and Kuzmin.
Then people’s deputies write that in 2013 President Viktor Yanukovych abandoned such cooperation with the United States. But already in 2014 Petro Poroshenko continued it. “It is likely that Yanukovych lost power with the active participation of the US government precisely because of his refusal to cooperate with the Pentagon,” suggest the deputies from “Opposition Platform – For Life”.In conclusion, they point out, “It is possible that the secret and opaque activities of dangerous foreign objects on the territory of Ukraine have the task of testing the actions of viruses and bacteria on the bodies of Ukrainians”, and ask the leadership of Ukraine to understand this.
The topic of US biological laboratories in Ukraine is not new, and Kuzmin has been conducting it directly for a number of years.
“It is known that the Geneva Convention of 1972 prohibits the production of bacteriological weapons, and for this reason, the US military does not produce them on US territory. And why, after all, there are so many excellent test sites in the world, such as Ukraine or Georgia, where you can produce and test any deadly viruses on the local population? It is enough only to create a military laboratory, give it a harmless name, such as “sanepidemstantsii Laboratory”, and assign its own supervisor to it…” – wrote Renat Kuzmin in Facebook in 2018.
He mentioned this topic in connection with the revelations of the Georgian ex-Minister of state security of Georgia Igor Giorgadze. In 2018, he said that the American Lugar Center, which is located in Tbilisi, tested on Georgian citizens the drug “Sovaldi” of the American firm “Gilead Science”. As a result, 73 volunteers were allegedly killed.
US Embassy’s response concerning bio-experiments in Ukraine
On April 22nd the US Embassy in Ukraine responded to Kuzmin’s appeal. The answer was not personally addressed to the people’s deputies, but to “Russian disinformation” in general.
The Embassy confirmed that biological programs in Ukraine are supervised by the US Department of Defence, which in itself is already remarkable.
However, according to diplomats, the Pentagon works in Ukraine together with the Kiev government. The aim is “to ensure the secure storage of pathogens and threatening toxins in public institutions”, so that peaceful research and vaccine development can be carried out.
“We are also working with our Ukrainian partners to develop Ukraine’s ability to detect outbreaks caused by dangerous pathogens before they pose a threat to security or stability,” writes the US embassy in Ukraine.
Diplomats point out that their joint efforts help to ensure that dangerous agents do not fall into the wrong hands, and they list the specific Ukrainian agencies with which they interact:
The Americans tell us that the US Department of Defence’s biological threat reduction program is working with partner countries to combat the threat of outbreaks (intentional, accidental, or natural) of the most dangerous infectious diseases in the world. Among such partners there is Ukraine.
Concerning what is specifically done in laboratories, the diplomats write very evasively: “research partnerships” and “biological surveillance measures” are carried out. But some project descriptions include:
Then the Americans give some more interesting facts. Namely: that they modernised many laboratories of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. And just in 2019 started to build two laboratories in Kiev and Odessa.
Another part of the American-Ukrainian cooperation is the scientific mentoring letter. I.e., representatives of the United States teach Ukrainian colleagues to prepare publications in order to receive further grants.
In 2016, according to the US Embassy, Ukraine joined the American “disease surveillance in the East”. In addition to our country, the group of the European region includes Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan.
The Embassy also recalled that the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU), mentioned by Kuzmin in his request, is an intergovernmental organisation that was established as early as 1993. Now it includes Azerbaijan, the European Union, Georgia, Moldova, and Uzbekistan, in addition to Ukraine and the United States.
In conclusion, the Americans write that such American-Ukrainian cooperation is necessary for “global peace and prosperity by reducing the risks associated with chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons.”
What else is known about US laboratories in Ukraine
There is little information about American biological laboratories in Ukraine on the Internet. At one time, Bulgarian and Serbian websites wrote about them – Renat Kuzmin referred to their data in his request.
Thus, Bulgarian journalists published a map of laboratories in Ukraine.
Journalists also published documents from which it follows that the Pentagon financed laboratories in Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk (former regional Sanitary and Epidemiological Service). One of them received $1.5 million, and the other – $2 million from 2010 to 2012.
There is also an agreement between Ukraine and the United States dated August 29th 2005 in the archive of the State Department website. It concerns cooperation in preventing the spread of technologies, pathogens, and experiments that could be used in the manufacture of biological weapons.
The treaty was signed by the Pentagon and the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, which at that time was headed by Nikolay Polishchuk. There’s a lot of interesting stuff in the document.
For example, it states that the Ministry of Healthcare should send to the US Department of Defence copies of dangerous pathogens that will appear as a result of research carried out in Ukrainian laboratories.
The parties also agreed to keep information about the results of their activities secret. And if they are considered secret by the Pentagon, they automatically become so in Ukraine.
Conversely, if Ukraine has classified any information, it should still be available to the Americans
.
At the same time, the agreement requires to involve as few people as possible in this project – “minimise the number of people who have access to limited access information”.
Interesting information is also available about the International Scientific Center, which the Embassy spoke about and which oversees Ukrainian laboratories. According to the documents, its employees are protected by nothing less than diplomatic immunity.
I.e., it seems to be a very important structure in Ukraine for the United States.
However, the very fact that such agreements exist is not yet proof that dangerous pathogens are produced or tested on Ukrainians in laboratories. But why do Americans open so many laboratories and invest a lot of money – while wrapping this topic with a veil of secrecy?

I don’t know anything about the CARES Act, but I have read that if a Medicare beneficiary is taken to the hospital for an emergency and does not get admitted to the hospital, they might not get their Medicare benefits. People were being told to ask about it and make sure they were admitted if necessary. I don’t have documentation and am not sure that what I’ve said is accurate.

So the cancer scare really got going in the late 1880’s. And Germany was one of the best in medical science at the time. Otto Warburg, a jew in Germany who came up with a theory on cancer growth was actually allowed to continue his research all through WWII in Germany because of Hitlers fear of cancer.
But essentially the approach to treatment is unchanged and essentially worthless. Most people diagnosed are dead within 5 years despite the barbaric radiation, chemo treatments that we use today. While cancers are complex, removing carbs/sugars is about the best solution for many, but not all, cancers.

The problem at root of all of this is computerized voting and tabulation. End that, and most of the problems will go away. There are still possibilities for manual fraud, but orders of magnitude lower.
The last-minute software/firmware updates to all the Dominion (and, IIRC, other brand) machines was not only illegal (no updates one month either side of an election), but they were ill-advised, risky, and could have necessitated a rerun of the election (which was probably their justification for the three-hour “tour” of halted voting).
Funny thing, a number of states halted at the same time, for the same length of time. Almost sounds as if it were coordinated. Electronically, over a network. Oh, of course they’re not connected to the net. Yet they all had simultaneous updates….
Online access to tens, if not hundreds of thousands of these machines is the only reasonable, feasible, and proper way, under REAL, STRINGENT, change control management, for software/firmware updates to occur. But with the “two-month rule”, there should have been testing done, and all updates performed AT LEAST one month before the election. Looks like they didn’t do enough testing… sounds familer, eh?
Need teeth and enforcement added to the election laws; and go back to paper ballots, and stringent ID and Citizenship requirements, as well as completely-vetted voter rolls…
