We DO have something on the site called “lazy image loading”, whereby images don’t load until they are being scrolled into your field of view. This can affect images in tweets as well.
We have settings for this in both WordPress and in the commenting plugin (wpDiscuz). There are lots of places where this could mess up.
I have had a few tweets with blank images. It seems to be more of a problem on mobiles than on personal computers. I have refreshed the page to make the images show up.
The nonce thing is almost certainly related to either passwords or encryption. I have only gotten it once, and I can barely remember it. I think that logging back in is the answer.
I frequently have weird things happen with video and picture previews — oftentimes they’re blank for significant periods of time (e.g. hours) — they may not load at all, and something in the way video preview images load sometimes gives me a random one if there are several on a page (which can be disconcerting) [e.g. if there are videos A, B, and C on a page, I might get a preview from A where there is a link to C in a comment].
Sometimes a page refresh will fix this. Other times I merely imagine an image there.
I can’t see Twitter, Telegram, or Facebook content at all, and I’m not displeased with that.

The nonce thing is about setting up a secure link in an insecure environment. It means your link was reset. There are a number of innocent and not-so-innocent reasons that this may happen, but the computer and server (commenter and Wolf) are attempting to re-create a secure link, and flipping a nonce is part of that.

I thought watches were worn with the winding/setting stem to the outside, pointing toward the hand so they could be wound/set easily.

They’re convinced of their pet theory, and you’re not going to unconvince them no matter how much evidence you put forth.
It goes both ways.
It would help if the theories were presented clearly, with supporting evidence that could be parsed and reviewed at the moment. Statements like “the word is,” and “this has happened lots of times” do not help.
What exactly is the theory? That the Joe Biden residing in the WH is not the real JB? If so, please present the theory, with a clear timeline, so it can be discussed. And please present how it is possible for people to be fooled, up close and personal, by an imposter. That would include reports and examples of that having happened.
When was the replacement put in? What year? If the theory is that the real JB is left-handed and the imposter isn’t, it should be easy to find pics to either discredit or support that by checking the dates on them. The real JB would be clearly left-handed, and the “new” JB would be clearly right-handed. I have found nothing to support such a theory. If you have clear evidence, please present it. One pic showing a watch does not outweigh the mounds of evidence I have found to the contrary.
Pics do get reversed, and sometimes it is very clear that that has been done, as in the example I posted here. If the idea is that JB is really left-handed and every pic of him on the internet pre-switch (whenever that is supposed to have occurred) has been reversed, that’s not credible.
Reversing pics does not change the orientation of things like lapel pins. They are unfailingly worn on the left. In every pic I’ve seen of JB with a lapel in, he is writing and gesturing with the hand on the opposite side of the lapel pin — his right hand.
If the idea is that all those pics are of the “new” JB, that brings us back to the year when he was “switched.” Because those pics span from before he was VP or in the WH at all. So was he “switched” before then? It would be obvious if any of them with lapel pins or other identifying markers had been reversed.
I have found no evidence to support the idea that JB has been switched, nor have I seen any to support the idea that JB used to be left-handed. Instead, I have found mounds of evidence to the contrary. If this were a credible idea, it should be fairly easy to set out a timeline with supporting pics and links to flesh it out. But I haven’t seen anything like that done by any blogger or commenter on the internet. So it’s not a matter of ignoring evidence. If you can present a volume of evidence such as what I’ve presented here, I will look at it. But it does seem that you are ignoring any and all evidence that contradicts your ideas. The “handedness” idea has come up before, and I presented evidence at that time. The body double idea pops up periodically and I ask questions, and no one ever answers them.
I will add this: It would help if statements like “the real Joe Biden is/was left-handed” were presented as theory and not fact, because it is not proven fact a) that there is more than one “real” JB, and b) that JB was ever left-handed.

We had a much beloved local dog that we knew well that was being walked around the neighborhood like a hundred times before…..and I got to talking to the neighbor one time, and she (the dog) calmly walked in and through the house thoroughly before we noticed she was missing. Pets are raised to share space with people, and they’re sometimes a bit loose on the delineation of which space is shared.
My neighbor had a German Shepherd when the woman went on vacation she had an house sitter. The dog came running down the stairs when the sitter opened the door pushed her over and ran out the house. I heard noise on my back door and open the door the dog run into my house wound up on the sofa and would not leave. The dog did it two more times. I called my neighbor on vacation and she ask me if I could take the dog to the kennel I did.
I do have a fence the dog dug under the fence to get into my backyard.
Another neighbor had a black cat who would visit my Max a big longhair dog in the backyard when he was out.

My Peri was at OH State University Veterinary hospital one of the attendees was German. When the vet brought my dog out she said ” the German loved it that your dog knows German commands”. Peri would have executed the commands in any language she just knew her training so well. Of course I never used German commands.
It happened once to my father. He came home from work one day, relaxed a bit, was making his way to bed when he found a cat in the bedroom. The best theory we could come up with is that the cat sneaked in through the open garage door while my dad was either leaving for work or coming home. After sneaking in, it probably hid under the bed because it was spooked and didn’t come out until my dad started moving around the bedroom.
At least it was a cat and not a raccoon or ‘possum.
Some one my husband knows came home from work , he has a farm, and in front of the oven was his big dog and a possum both sleeping. It was a very cold winter day and the dog had a dog door. The dog was not bothered by the possum at all he wondered how often this happened before.

Furnace update. It’s working again! Thanks to the encouragement and advice of many people here, I went the DIY route. Bought a used control board off eBay for $70 (a better option for my circumstances than paying $400+ for a brand new board). While gently disconnecting the old board, one of the wire terminals broke. I strongly suspect that the terminal’s poor condition probably nuked the entire board with too much electricity and caused this entire debacle in the first place. Anyways, that required an additional purchase of tools and parts, but the terminal was otherwise easy to fix. Replacing the board was straightforward from there. Thank you to everyone who offered advice, encouragement, and prayers! It was a huge help!
Winner, you saved a fortune and got some tools, which will be useful, sooner or later. I retired seven years ago but still keep hold of four boxes of tools, without them one can’t do anything, with them one can more or less look after ones self.

Sometimes when I’m bored I watch leftist TV shows to see what they are selling. I find it revealing at times. TL;dr version below – but highly entertaining if you love leftists selling dark comedy as drama as much as I do.
NBC is one of the very worst as we know. So, already knowing that New Amsterdam is cancelled after their short season this year I decided to watch the collapse and what they were selling. Last night was revealing. As pretext, they had highly promoted the jabs, social distancing, masks, CDC, etc. previously. They had episodes that ridiculed non-vaxxers and normal people as rubes and idiots. The screen writers and actors are obvious sexual perverts.
The previous episode to last night had a handful of their primary actors playing doc and nurse parts either losing their shiz, being with someone losing their shiz, or becoming seriously ill personally. It looked like a crude attempt to cover for the jabs and COVID lockdowns. One love interest doc gets life endangering clots throughout her body has surgery, appears to recover while coding on the op table, then unable to speak clearly. To be continued. Another deaf female surgeon inexplicably tries to commit suicide after being drugged at a karaoke bar by a deranged bartender still financially recovering from losing his job at the bar due to COVID lockdown that he blames on the medical community selling as necessary. She is shown in her final scene overcoming her fear of wearing scrubs in public due to her fear of being called out for misleading wacko normies.
One homosexual male psychologist in a marital relationship with another male homosexual with three adopted kids together inexplicably has a drunken emotional affair with a fellow male homosexual worker in the hospital because he feels trapped in the marital relationship and wants to prove his attractiveness to fellow homosexuals. Which I found fascinating since they normally portray said psychologist as a saint who saves the world instead of as philandering cheater, if that is even a legitimate statement for a sexual pervert.
But wait, there’s MOAR. The formerly bi-sexual, now full flame lesbian, ER doc rides to the rescue and finds a fellow ER nurse friend with a piece of metal in his neck like an icepick in an alley of druggies. FWIW he’s not a druggie. She finds him with the help of her estranged lesbian lover who is an illegal from Pakistan who was a doc there and is about to be deported. She had gone from said ER doc’s bed back to the car she once lived in because said doc financially smoothed her path into American society and a job in the hospital while she sought legal immigration status. This illegal medical professional wanted to do it all on her own, so she left the doc, but the supposed medical professional was too dumb to realize she would miss her notices to appear with immigration services while living in her old car and is now being deported. So now, with nowhere else to turn, she wants the doc to write checks to an attorney to keep her here. But I digress, back to the nurse with the icepick in his neck. They find him because the doc calls his fellow Veteran with PTSD buddy he partied with who has now returned to being lucid after a night in the back of his car. Said vet realizes his nurse buddy who has been partying with him is not there. Somehow the lesbian medical pair find said alley nearby, find the nurse bleeding out, find a discarded tube of caulk in a caulk gun in a dumpster, and shoot the caulk into the neck to stop the bleeding, get an ambulance, take to the hospital, the nurse wakes up to talk to the doc there after his surgery and advise her about her estranged lesbian lover, prepares to die, then miraculously lives, and doc is relieved.
And you thought that was all. There’s MOAR! The brilliant male surgeon who got a fellow surgeon pregnant who was still married to another male fellow surgeon who are all three friends before and after the pregnancy are sorting out future living arrangements. The pregnant surgeon is going to continue the marriage and no longer has sex with the baby daddy, but they all want to parent the child well and she wants baby daddy to move to the new location since they are planning to leave and restart their lives and careers somewhere else. Baby daddy surgeon appears to agree he will do that. Baby daddy surgeon had also previously hooked up with the ER doc as the ER doc became hooked on prescription pain meds and later discovered after recovery that she thinks she is lesbian.

The only person who is medically high risk is 94 years of age with COPD. The other four have no problematic medical conditions and range in age from 62 – 73. They are all vaxxed and boosted of course.
Please try to get as much detailed information as you can. In particular, if they get the “rebound”, or other signs of lowered immunity afterwards.

Imagine if you had money, so much money that you could never spend it all. So much money that if you LOST half of it, it wouldn’t really much matter, because the interest and profit from the other half could replace what you lost in due time. So much money that you could comfortably live essentially forever on a mere fraction of it.
Now imagine that money was not your motivation to do anything. That you just didn’t care at all about money. That having it, or keeping it, was completely secondary to your world view and attitudes. That you had values and goals that had nothing whatsoever to do with being a jet-setting gazillionaire.
What would you do?

It’s been a busy time for our extended clan in celebrating my parents’ 60th Anniversary over the weekend…& some of us are still exhausted–whew.
Here are some highlights:
Stopping by Dad’s namesake grandpa’s old home to discover the family that bought it from our family still lives there! Dad had a wonderful conversation w/ the daughter of the owner about life & times in that Detroit neighborhood–A Blue Star Family. Very Special!
Dinner out at a great Mexican restaurant a few blocks from the AirBNB loft where the 3 oldest couples stayed for the weekend.
Detroit Tigers ballgame Saturday afternoon. There were 20 of us present, including All Michigan descendants!, to enjoy the game & celebrate Mom & Dad. We saw Miguel Cabrera get his 3,000th hit & enjoyed that celebration & enthusiasm for Miggy all game…& beyond. A resident at the Loft building, about a mile from Comerica Park, said that he had heard the roar of the crowd from inside his place when Miggy hit 3,000!
Dinner out w/ the entire gang in Greektown; we walked there from the ballpark.
Fellowship & Communion w/ the 3 older couples on Sunday morning before checkout.
A visit to Belle Isle & reminiscences about events there in the family & in the community.
I’m updating the blog created to celebrate them now using the library’s speedy computer.
My parents went to Detroit’s Cooley High School & both still use the word Cooley in their email addresses. They met while both students, “high school sweethearts”, & married about 5 years later. Their 1st date was right after Dad lost his namesake grandfather & they shared some of their memories of those early days periodically during our special events. ❤

They brought their wedding pictures to the Loft & shared stories from their day & the friends & family who were there to make it special. Dad’s long time hunting buddy & cousin was their wedding photographer, which was news to me 😊
I hope in the near future to do a bit more driving with my parents in Detroit to see some of their old stomping grounds & perhaps get a tour of some of the extended family graves in Woodmere Cemetery, near where many of the relatives lived back in the day…
