I AM the Light of the World
“I am the Light of the world” (John 8:12) is the second of seven “I AM” declarations of Jesus, recorded only in John’s gospel, that point to His unique divine identity and purpose. In declaring Himself to be the Light of the world, Jesus was claiming that He is the exclusive source of spiritual light. No other source of spiritual truth is available to mankind.
There are two types of light in the world. We can perceive one, or both, or neither! When we are born into this world, we perceive physical light, and by it we learn of our Creator’s handiwork in the things we see. However, although that light is good, there is another Light, a Light so important that the Son of God had to come in order to both declare and impart it to men. John 8:12 records, “When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, ‘I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but have the light of life.’” The allegory used by the Lord in this verse speaks of the light of His Truth, the light of His Word, the light of eternal Life. Those who perceive the true Light will never walk in spiritual darkness.
We take a candle into a room to dispel the darkness. Likewise, the Light of Jesus Christ has to be taken into the darkness of sin that engulfs the hearts and lives of those who are not following Him. That’s the condition behind having this Light—that we follow Him. If we do not follow Him, we will not have this light, this truth, this eternal life.
Physical light is necessary for physical life. The earth would certainly change very rapidly if there were no longer any sunlight. A forest full of trees with very thick canopies of foliage high above has very little plant life on the ground except for moss or lichen, which needs little sunlight. Plants will never move away from the light—they are said to be positively phototropic, drawn to the light. In the same way, spiritual light is necessary for spiritual life, and this can be a good test of our standing in Christ. The believer will always tend toward spiritual things; he will always tend toward fellowship, prayer, the Word of God, and so on. The unbeliever always does the opposite (John 1:5; 3:19–20) because light exposes his evil, and he hates the light. Indeed, no man can come into the true spiritual light of Jesus Christ, unless he is enabled (John 6:37).
Following Jesus is the condition of two promises in John 8:12. First, His followers will never walk in darkness, which is a reference to the assurance of salvation we enjoy. As true followers of the Light, we will never follow the ways of sin, never live in a state of continually sinning (1 John 1:5–7). Rather, we repent of our sin in order to stay close to the Light of the world. The second promise is that we will reflect the Light of Life. Just as He came as the Light of the world, He commands us to be “lights,” too. In Matthew 5:14–16 we see believers depicted as the light of the world. Just as the moon has no light of its own, reflecting the light of the sun, so are believers to reflect the Light of Christ so that all can see it in us. The Light is evident to others by the good deeds we do in faith and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The emphasis here is maintaining a credible and obvious witness in the world, a witness that shows us to be faithful, God-honoring, trustworthy, sincere, earnest, and honest in all that we do. Also, we should always be ready to give an account of the hope that we have (1 Peter 3:15), for the gospel Light we have is not to be covered, but made obvious for all to see and benefit from, that they, too, may leave the darkness and come into the Light.

Jesus at His Birth
Shortly after His birth, Jesus’ parents took Him to the temple, presented Him to the Lord, and offered the required sacrifice.
Simeon, moved by the Holy Spirit, went to the temple, took Jesus in His arms, and said, “For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light of revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel” (Lk. 2:32).
Simeon speaks of Jesus as the salvation and light God promised (Isaiah 9:2; 42:6; 49:6,9; 51:4; 60:1-3).
Jesus, at His birth, fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah. He is the light of revelation God sent into the world.
Jesus at the Beginning of His Ministry
When Jesus began His ministry in Capernaum, Matthew tells us this was the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophesy.
“The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light, and those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, upon them a light dawned” (Matt. 4:16).
Besides fulfilling Isaiah’s prophesies at His birth, Jesus fulfilled Isaiah’s prophesies when He began preaching the gospel.
Jesus is the Light of the World
Jesus is the Light of the world (Jn. 1:4-9; 8:12). This figure of speech is applicable to Him because:
In Him we have life, and the life is the Light of man (Jn. 1:4; 8:12).
We believe through Him (Jn. 1:7).
Jesus enlightens every man (Jn. 1:9).
By believing in Jesus, we become sons of Light (Jn. 12:36).
By believing in Jesus, we escape from darkness (Jn. 12:46).
Jesus’ blood cleanses us from all sin (1 Jn. 1:7).
Christians Love The Light
Every person loves either darkness or the Light. People who love darkness hate the Light. And people who love the Light hate darkness.
“For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God” (Jn. 3:20-21).
Christians Walk in the Light
We walk in the Light because God is Light.
“This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light . . . ” (1 Jn. 1:5-7).
Because we walk in the Light, “the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 Jn. 1:5-7).
Christians are Children of Light
Walking in the Light, we are children of Light (Eph. 5:8).
“For you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light” (Eph. 5:8).
As a result, we expose the unfruitful deeds of darkness (Eph. 5:11-13).
Christians Are the Light of the World
As children of Light, exposing darkness, we are the light of the world.
“You are the light of the world . . .” (Matt. 5:14).
Therefore we shine our light by essence of who we are.
“. . . A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house” (Matt. 5:14-15).
And men glorify God, as a result of seeing our good works.
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:16).
Result: Eternal Life
As children of the Light, we “share in the inheritance of the saints in Light” (Col. 1:12).
Therefore we will spend eternity in heaven, where there is eternal light (Rev. 21:24; 22:5).

Right. Firstly, I don’t even attempt debate any more on fora – my issue is “being swamped”. The big players, always from the States, come in with maybe twenty gabs, all full panel … and if anyone reposts them, Gab picks up on that … and the system compounds it. Thus one large meme suddenly becomes twenty large memes, all the same, all filling up the timeline. If one of those players repeats his meme, then multiply that again. He might be a Godfearing good man but the net effect is to “swamp” any smaller gabber.
In Valerie’s case, she loses numbers in a different way. Welcome to the club. On Twitter, I was losing hundreds each day, mysteriously, then when Floyd came up, Twitter banned me, which was nothing really. Our blog, which is prolific, some weeks back lost one third of its visitors overnight. This sort of gamesmanship is weird. We’re on the fifth version of the blog now, the rest suddenly found things going wrong and then they disappeared. There are whole comments threads removed, sometimes I find them in trash.
The thing is … if you’re ever over target, you’re ‘disappeared’, which is better I suppose than being Killeried. By the way, I just replied to Valerie and guess what, I went to my site for seconds, came back and Gab had ‘disappeared’ the comment.

Whenever I see a story like this at the top of DM, I wonder what narrative they are pushing on the general pop.
I’ve used the shaming tactic at the local government level and it worked quite well.
Every new technological advance can be used to kill people. That’s not the problem. The problem is people who kill people, and the people who make those people, help those people, or protect those people.
It IS the people! Lightbulb for me. In my local situation, I keep hearing “they’re just doing their job and following orders”.
No one acknowledges that it’s wrong and they can stop doing it if they want.
Right now, our problem is that WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS have a monopoly on force, and they use it to stop us from peaceful protest.
Getting out of this is not going to be easy – if we’re lucky enough that it’s possible. But with God’s help, it IS possible!
When we unite Black, white Hispanics there is not stopping us. They only can keep doing what they do dividing us.
Looking back I can see the steppingstones each president laid each evil organization participated on to divide us.
God unites us He is Truth.

I would not be a good candidate to fallow orders I see as wrong. Maybe it is the way I was raised after WWII we were taught ethics trump evil orders.
I do believe there is historical precedent for shaming as an effective political strategy. “Have you no shame Senator?” To head off misunderstanding, I am not saying the accusation was true. My point is that it was effective.
Shaming only works on people who put other peoples opinion about themselves over their own. Shaming a person works on insecure people who have something to hide or think they do. It is all a farce falling for it.
Opinion:
My perspective is different. I believe shaming works on someone who is sensitive to wanting to do what is right and desires to live an enlightened life. It is undeniable that many people (maybe even most) seek approval from their peers that their behavior and life are acceptable. Shaming can be effective because people would rather be accepted than shunned. Shaming is not effective because we say “shame on you”. Its effectiveness is, for the shameful person, finding that the shameful behavior leads to being ignored and forsaken. The other aspect of shaming is that the people who agree with the charge tend to remove their support for any person exhibiting that behavior until a change in behavior is observed.
The culture of the West has effectively discarded the notion that shaming has legitimate value for the social structure of the culture. I do believe shaming did more good than harm in the long run. Because it was abused and thoughtlessly applied in some instances was not sufficient reason to discard it.

Shaming can be useful if used fr the benefit of the other but not if it is a form of control for power.
Also, for shaming to be effective there needs to be a Standard held up to which we would all aspire. Since much of the culture has rejected the concept of Absolute Truth, let alone the Truth-giver, they are primed to ignore shaming w/ a nonchalant “that’s just Your truth” dismissal…sigh…
NO ONE EVER DESERVES TO RULE.

IMO, viruses exist, but their responsibility for associated disease is not total, and is intimately tied to the otherwise-determined immune health and “resistance” of the culture, meaning the health of the people who have the viruses and ideally “adapt to them”. The discrepancies which lead rightfully to suspicions about “Faucism” can be simplistically viewed as “there are no viruses”, but that is WRONG. It’s TOO EASY.
This discrepancy becomes especially strong and notable with weakly and slowly pathogenic viruses like HIV.
“Blaming” HIV for AIDS is like blaming ANTIFA for the destruction of Oregon. NO – it’s a bigger and deeper problem.
The flaws of the simplistic virus model are better solved by “there are viruses, but Rockefeller medicine has lied to us, by creating a false binary of “infected / not infected” in which they can introduce vaccination as a “fix”, when in fact INFECTION WITHOUT DEATH OR INJURY, ADAPTATION, AND RESISTANCE is generally the best choice for patient health – not for FUNDING ROCKEFELLERS.
There has been no better demonstration of this, than Fauci’s refusal to even MENTION natural immunity, clearly the superior solution to COVID.
AND WE KNOW WHY.
I think Kirsch is better off not DEBATING the “no virus” people. I think that explaining to the movable center why we are sure viruses exist is the right move. THEN introduce every treachery and possible treachery of Fauci and friends in virology, so that the suspicions of the movable center are properly focused on REAL problems.
All that said, this is not a necessary fight at this time for most of us.

Here is a tidbit that I’ve observed. One Telegram channel is dedicated to exposing people it suspects might have infiltrated the patriot movement. I think that being open to that infiltration is warranted, but I also think that they can go too far and draw erroneous conclusions. Still, we need to have our eyes open. For example, I don’t trust Patrick Byrne in the least. He thought it would be a good idea for PDJT to not be in office and to have a coalition government — completely unconstitutional. Then he hobnobs with patriots at all the pay-to-attend rallies they hold “for freedom,” which don’t appear to be accomplishing anything. So it’s guilt by association, and some of it is warranted. We have to use discernment, though.
Some of the people on that channel are researching Gregg Phillips to look for dirt. Why, I’m not sure, except if they think he is associating with someone on their blacklist. Oh, and apparently True the Vote has been funded at least in part by the Kochs. Meanwhile, I believe Phillips is just trying to accomplish his goals, and he will take whatever help he can get, within reason.
That led to someone on Truth Social accusing Phillips of using Illuminati symbolism at some point or associating with someone who uses it (can’t remember the details). Phillips responded that he doesn’t know what they’re talking about and that we just need to get to work.
All of that to say this: I think Phillips just wants to get on with his work and for people to stop the internal fighting. At the same time, we do need to know if people are secretly working against us, because an enemy within is destructive. Some of the people investigating these things appear to lack discernment and wisdom.

I think there are some shit-stirrers, and yet I think that trying to find them and reveal them is DAMAGING BY DESIGN.

You don’t understand. HIV resided in the anus and throat. Exposure was limited. The monkey pox virus exists in and is spread from the pus that comes out of the pustules that erupt on the skin and they can be everywhere. So if they touch something, leaving behind some of their pus, it can be picked up by you or a loved one; quite innocently. That means touching them anywhere, even on clothing, may spread the virus to you. If they leave pus behind from hands, feet, lips, hair or any body part onto an object you touch later, you may be exposed. Handrails, faucets, door handles, chairs, headrests, etc.
So you have a twisted person, usually angry, carrying a virus that is easy to spread to others, IF THEY CHOOSE! Now you understand the risk. THIS is what is driving the larger fears onto the public. Wear gloves, NEVER touch your face, in public.
It’s somewhat true, but the reality is that it spreads by bodily contact, almost entirely. This whole thing is fear-mongering to force a new vaccine, IMO.
Monkeypox is very much like cowpox, which spread pretty much only to milkmaids.
As far as I’m concerned, monkeypox is a vaccine against smallpox. I wouldn’t have gay sex to get it, but if I got it from a handrail, I’d consider it God’s wisdom.

Yeah, these old doubts about HIV are now making more sense. Of course, this brings back the ideas of critics like Judy Mikovits and the doubts of people like Kary Mullis.
I think you’ve really hit on something here. Let me expand on it.
There is a possibility of what might be called “intravenous/anal immune assault syndrome” in which repeated small assaults on the immune system of both gays and IV drug users create a kind of chaotic degradation of general immune defense, and that this process then admits viruses (such as HIV and coronas) which accelerate the process as part of their evolutionary adaptations. Weakly but chronically pathogenic viruses which “get in the breach”, have “learned” to expand the breach.
Thus, the viruses are intermediate between causative (the Fauci and Gallo theory of HIV-caused AIDS) and spectators (the diametrically opposed theory of some critics, that HIV is simply an innocent bystander).
This intermediate theory explains why both camps can point to evidence for their theories. This is, again, “AND logic”. Both sides are right, to some extent.
One thing I have noted is Fauci’s obsession with injectable vaccines for viruses which themselves seem to lower immunity, and which vaccines in turn also lower immunity. Why would somebody pursue first an HIV vaccine, and then an injectable corona spike vaccine with HIV inserts?
If Fauci and his ilk understood the true syndrome, and kept it a secret, but proclaimed that one particular virus was “fully causative” of AIDS, rather than part of a bigger (and politically incorrect) picture, then they would know the truth about the syndrome, and would then have realized that vaccines for those very diseases could be used to lower immunity and then achieve a depopulation effect. Mikovits was a bit too wise to the whole “viral chaos” part, and even though I think she tends to be too obsessed with the role of XMRVs, I think she’s dead-on right about the role of what might be called “general immune health”, which dictates against things like multi-partner sex, drug injection, etc.
I think that Fauci and Walensky KNOW that repeated boosters of these vaccines are bad for people, based on the “immune chaos and opportunistic virus theory”. They’re just SO CLOSE to having finished the job of injecting everybody with this “planet-saving”, life-shortening, fertility-reducing, poor excuse of a vaccine.
IMO it’s all about depopulation – both shortening lifespan and reducing fertility. Democrats will always pick a fait accompli when they can. The believed in the “population bomb”, and the believers decided to do something about it, whether we liked it or not.

What gets Yours Truly is that there is NO placebo / control group in the mRNA-1215 “vaccine candidate” clinical trial for the Nipah virus that Moderna is developing in conjunction with Fauci’s NIAID. Am not a scientist, but doesn’t that sound weird? Has “vaccine” development gone from unblinding the placebo / control group, to giving them the “vaccine candidate” after unblinding them (thereby messing up this group’s test separation and results) — to just doing away altogether with using a placebo / control group?
After all, this is a registered clinical trial, not a preclinical.
My GUESS is that the virus is sufficiently deadly that it’s considered unethical to have a placebo group. If the vaccine is BAD, but the virus is WORSE, then it’s OK to skip placebo and get that data by other means, such as watching for data from people who don’t seek treatment.
I’m not saying Fauci is clean here, because they could have LIED ABOUT MORTALITY in order to avoid a placebo group. See how that works? I think Fauci is GOOD FOR THAT SUSPICION.

I found out caltrans controls the traffic on city streets within a certain distance of the freeway. So for the timer to be adjusted, the city has to put those counting machines out, send documentation to sacramento, wait, then send more data….jusy to change the lights!
