Unfortunately, the Democrats were not “saving our democracy” when Obama’s IRS director Lois Lerner used government power to target conservatives (the “tea party”) to get Obama re-elected, lied about it, and, because of that big “D” behind her name, was let off with no consequences whatsoever.
The Democrats were not “saving our democracy” when Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and the DNC purchased a fake Russian dossier in order to defraud the voters by framing Donald Trump of colluding with the Russians, thereby doing tremendous damage to our nation.
The Democrats were not “saving our democracy” when the Obama administration spied on its political rival, Donald Trump, something the Democrat-media colluders have been willfully blind about.
The Democrat’s were not “saving our democracy” when, after it became clear that Trump had won in 2016, the Democrat “election deniers” poured onto the streets screaming, setting fires, making violent threats and behaving like 2-year-olds that didn’t get the cookie.

Why It Has to Be Trump
- Trump is too crude in his habitual verbal comportment, lacking in the polish and restraint we associate with the presidency at its ideal best.
- Trump continues to dwell on a rigged 2020 election, a grievance that casts him in the light of a sore loser and renders him something of an obsessive.
- Trump is too old. After Biden, another geriatric president would be a liability. DeSantis is in his early forties and represents a vital alternative to the specter of feebleness and senility exhibited by Biden.
- Trump is too controversial and would generate considerable opposition.
All these points, I believe, can be easily rebutted.

Consider a scene back in August at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Robert Englander, a physician affiliated with Harvard and Johns Hopkins, led the class of 2026 in a bizarre alternative to the Hippocratic Oath. Repeating the words in unison, dozens of white-coated students committed to uproot “structural violence deeply embedded within the healthcare system” and to “honor all indigenous ways of healing that have been historically marginalized by Western medicine.” They also vowed to fight white supremacy, colonialism, the gender binary, ableism, and “all forms of oppression” that supposedly afflict the medical profession.
I doubt this means that the University of Minnesota will now only certify physicians who prescribe rhinoceros horn and healing drum circles. Still, a university spokesperson assured reporters that these kinds of hyper-politicized oaths are a “common practice” in medical schools and are designed to “promote humility, integrity, and beneficence” among future doctors.
Science Held Hostage to Ideology
The thing to notice in this story is not merely the eerie religiosity, but also the way students are being encouraged to subject science to progressive moral goals, honoring oppressed cultures and embracing their ideas about healing. This is a far cry from the detached skepticism of yesteryear. The late “New Atheist” Christopher Hitchens famously said that “what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.” One wonders how he’d respond to the increasingly mystical and moralistic character of “woke” politics and institutions.

Musk’s appeal to advertisers does nothing to stop organized left-wing political activist groups from continuing their onslaught against speech they disagree with. Regarding the Project Veritas document, a surface reading could give it an innocent spin. It could be talking about people who deliberately give false information about elections, like sending people to the wrong voting location or spreading the lie that the election will be held on a different date, etc. It specifically mentions preventing people from registering to vote and/or from voting. It also mentions our protections under the First and Fourth Amendments.

There is way too much room for personal judgment regarding the terms used. And I thought crimes were defined by laws enacted by Congress. Can the DOJ suddenly decide that some kind of speech is a crime? “Inaccurate information intended to mislead others” leaves so much room for interpretation that they could accuse most people, especially those making honest mistakes, without much evidence at all.
Bottom line: The DOJ and FIB can’t be trusted.

When we had the power failure that fried the HVAC relay (depositing molten copper inside), we also had issues with our internet connection. I tracked it down to where it most likely was a half-fried Zyxel Zywall USG 20W router, which I then replaced by an inexpensive but significantly more capable piece of kit — the tp-link ER605 router.
I configured this “on the bench” until I was satisfied with it, then inserted it into our network. Tomorrow is the second Friday that the Fiancee will be working from home, and I told her that the network was still on “double secret probation” and to report any glitches. She told me that there had been no glitches the previous Friday on the work computer and that her desktop was running much better and she was very happy with the network.
When I get around to it, I’m going to try to reflash the Zyxel with OpenWRT.
The reason for this is that I was just looking at my “to-do” list and thinking that I didn’t have to fix the network (so long as it stays unbroken). I went through and cleared a bunch of ice out of my freezer, so that’s off the list….
I may be able to start CPE pretty soon.

Now I’m wondering – Are Mobile Sink and MobileSync the same thing?
They might sound similar, and there is the possibilty of a pun here.
But a «sink» when referring to data, is usually some kind of destination process or channel or similar, into which a stream of data moves. Such sinks might be paired with sources, from which streams of data emerges. No expectations are really made about where all the data comes from or where it goes — it is mostly a transportation job.
While «Sync» would be short for synchronisation, most likely in this context, that some information in one place is brought up-to-date with information somewhere else.
There is also the concept of a «money sink», a place where money goes, sometimes to vanish without a trace — or perhaps there is some kind of -10 dB coupler effect, diverting 10% to some Big Guy somewhere — though this isn’t the case here I would think.
Now, that thing that Musk carried into the lobby definitely looks like a sink similar to the kind usually seen in bathrooms, but why he did that must be open to speculation. Given that he isn’t a plumber, and even if he owns the place, most likely has people available to maintain bathroom facilities and suchlike… he is more than likely sending some kind of message.

The cat took off, went up the tree, across the branch, grabbed the jay in his jaws, and the bell clunked when he hit the ground. Mom took the bell off, finally. Great cat!

What little information is presented here makes absolute 100% scientific sense.
He’s saying that he can simply measure rabies immunity in the individual animal, by the same standards used by Fauci and Walensky (antibody titers), to prove whether or not the animals need additional rabies vaccines. He’s saying that most animals are immune for life.
He’s also saying that dosages are too big for small animals, and that they’re killing those animals with doses that are too big.
What’s horrifying to me is that this woman he’s talking to appears to have been an industry employee, VERY LIKELY A DRUG REP, and she is trying to put down his GOOD AND STRONG SCIENCE using her authority, and not scientific reason.

I was at the vet yesterday and the discussion turned to rabies vaccines for humans. The vet said if you are exposed to the virus and have the original series of rabies shots, and are exposed to rabies a second time, you should not get the first shot containing the IGG. Ever.
She said if you do take that first shot again, there’s a good chance you will develop graft vs. host disease. Only take the booster shots.
I’ve had the series and had no idea about this. She said a lot of drs. do not know this.

My son Brandon was able to get his exemption paperwork in for his EMT training. He is able to work at the one site that doesn’t Require the “vax” for his clinical hours. He needs to get 5 or 6 12 hour shifts in before his class ends in December. He said the Paramedic trainees need to get Many More clinical hours so they have a much harder time completing requirements w/ the exemption. Neither the clinical sites nor the school recognize Natural Immunity (since who can make money off of that?)–sigh.
Also, today he is going to Finally Visit his girlfriend in Canada. He’s going to drive across the border & then take the train to Toronto & spend the weekend. He’s taking some of his textbooks so he can do some classwork in transit.
We are So Thankful that he was willing to wait until the border stopped the shot tyranny. However it was Really close to the wire. He had been planning to visit for this last weekend in October to coincide w/ his girlfriend’s family’s activities. If the border restrictions hadn’t dropped when they did he was Very close to (extremely reluctantly) taking that slab jab.
Once the border was “open” when the class issues arose he was like “If I wouldn’t take the shot to see the woman I love I sure as Hell won’t take it for school!” Hopefully he’ll get his clinicals in on time & complete his training for EMT so he can then be considered for a firefighting job, as most around here Also require the EMT certification.
He just submitted an application to our local fire department after my husband had a conversation with the firefighter in charge there when he was making a delivery for his new company. It sounded like Brandon could have a firefighting job “waiting” like a mile from our house once he finishes that schooling.

Ironically with our daughter (& second grandchild “on board”) & son-in-law moving into our neighborhood (they had an offer accepted but are still in that process) & our son & daughter-in-law & granddaughter nearby & our special son & daughter-in-law living w/ her family in our city…if B gets that job we’ll have all 4 of our kids & all our kids-in-law living or working w/in 2 miles of us…so we can gather them in & better protect them given what appears to be “something wicked this way comes”.

Hope he’s having an amazing time, though he’ll be returning too late to catch my brother who’s in town from OK/TX/OK (recently moved again) going to 3 different sporting events with a few college friends. They either saw the Pistons or the Red Wings Friday, will see Michigan vs Michigan State Saturday, then the Lions (likely disaster) Sunday, followed by a few hours of a family hangout at my Metro Detroit brother’s place, where his finish carpentry skills have made his home a great & comfortable place to host a gang!

My husband has been attempting to put together another band now that his job situation has “stabilized” (relatively). It’s shaping up to be a Christian/Christians in a band situation & is roughly half guys from our generation & half from our kids’, including our oldest son (I shared that cover he did of a Dance Gavin Dance song here previously) & His brother-in-law.
Anyway Michael & Nathaniel went to a local second-hand music shop, Mike Carey’s on Fort Street in Wyandotte (I think) if you’re in the area. Hubby’s done business with him for like 20 years now.
Anyway M said that MC was looking pretty rough, wearing a pair of glasses that was missing one of the arms & he was actually pretty scared that his business wouldn’t make it. He said he gets 50-60 calls a day more than half are from people who are hoping to sell their musical instruments or equipment through him.
He’s never seen Anything like it. He’s hoping he won’t have to close down but the winter is looking pretty grim now. M & N made purchases totally $800 & even with the rough time Mike Carey still gave great service & steered then toward more economical options when the quality was comparable.
I’m so thankful that this business has remained open so far but seen these issues as pretty reflective of the signs of the times & the continuing hardships small businesses are facing just trying to stay afloat.

Well, we found out today that the DH’s son, age 39, has just been diagnosed with Type One Diabetes. Of course, he’s vaxxed, and he will never admit this caused it. It is VERY rare for a person that old to develop Type One. But here is a a paper documenting it happening:
