The “Myth-Busting Silicon Valley” article gets about as much wrong as it gets right. It is true that many of the Silicon Valley foundation myths are utter self-serving bunkum, but the article’s gesticulations at DARPA and the Feds are also misplaced.
IMHO, Silicon Valley is all about “creative destruction”, junkyard mining, and waste recycling.

My PCP prescribes HCQ, but has resisted giving me an Rx for IVM. I’ve ordered a tube of the salve – injestible – to try on skin lesions and will take it internally if I get sick.
I still have the tiny number of pills I got when they were hard to get. Since I had so few, I’ve been taking them only when I felt like I was coming down with something, not for any kind of prophylaxis.

First, the Administration will want to remain focused on the positive forward-looking agenda it is presenting to the American People. If the President or his staff appear fixated on the investigations, that narrative will become a fixture in the media.
Second unlike topics that divide the GOP (particularly around former President Trump and abortion), congressional Republicans will unite around many of the investigations. Therefore, only a truly independent outside group with no ties to the Biden White House coordinating a bipartisan response will be an effective counter to the right-wing smear machine. Further, some of the topics maybe too personal or delicate for the White House to be responding to or to even be seen as directing a response. Simply put there are some things that outsiders, with stature and experience managing Democratic war rooms and with deep legal expertise, can say that those within the administration should not. Similarly the White House should not be the one scrutinizing the media and holding it accountable for reporting false narratives. Finally, the media- and the public as well- will consider voices outside the Administration as more credible than those inside. It is important to coordinate and capitalize on that support.

It was alleged that the company was accused of ignoring FDA regulations. This caused at least three patients to lose their lives. Public records showed that in 2009, four Synthes execs were indicted and went to prison. Hansjörg Wyss, however, remained untouchable. Hansjörg Wyss resigned as CEO but stayed on as Chairman of Synthes. In 2012 Synthes was acquired by Johnson & Johnson for just under $20 Billion. Hansjorg Wyss was also a mega-donor for the Clinton Foundation. He injected millions into the Clinton machine. Since then, Hansjörg Wyss has quietly become an important foreign asset to the left’s “foreign dark money network.” Perhaps more significant than George Soros….

– need to get mind, heart, inner settings reconciled, realigned and refocused, recalibrated to GOD.
The method is to say my ABCs – !
I have listed alphabetically the Bible’s descriptions, attributes,and names of GOD and JESUS our LORD in a little book that I can carry when I travel, when I stay with my disabled daughter, when she is in the hospital, when I’m have a long waiting time in the ER or a doctor’s office, etc.
When I recite them in my mind or say them out loud….it settles and calms my soul, heart and mind.
Highlander asked me to post the whole alphabet, but I never got around to it.
So – since it’s Advent Season – I’ll post them one by one until Christmas – as a kind of ALPHABET ADVENT CALENDAR – in gratitude to all of you, whom I have come to know and love through your great research and comments and our years of coping together with leftist and RINOs, corruption in our government, the pandemic atrocities and crimes against humanity, and ongoing election fraud.
Be warned, while most of the ABCs come directly from Scripture, when I got to X, Y and Z – I had to get creative, inventive, personal and though they are, hopefully, Biblically aligned, they may not be directly from Scripture.
Some of my ABCs came from the book, – The Wonderful Names of our Wonderful Lord, which lists 365 names of God from Genesis to Revelation in the Bible.

The person who wrote this screed, Raymond D. Palmer, is an “anti-aging research” guy who works for Full Spectrum Biologics in Perth, Australia. His post-grad degree is in astronomy/astrophysics. He takes online courses from Harvard Medical School and Coursera on medical topics like gene expression. He apparently calls himself an “mRNA alchemist.”
The fact that this screed actually appeared in an actual scientific journal — Biomedicine (Taipei) IMO, says a lot about the “perversion” of much of medical / scientific research by Big Pharma and Big Government into “yes-men” and “lapdogs.”

Seriously, it’s at peak nauseum…I think but whenever it seems it cannot possibly be worse…it gets worse. We watch old stuff and if anything goes the least bit PC, turn it but the ads…they’re gross. Guess they get the indoctrination in that way now.
I will stick to (older) books, but even with them I am seeing the subtle brainwashing. It is tough reading an old favorite author and realize they were pushing communism.
Loves less cerebral books. Most are very fun.
One of the best Young Adult series I’ve read were about Jacky Farber, aka Bloody Jack. History is good and stories are a hoot, but kids should not read it until they are ready and some parents will still balk at that, understood.
Another along the same line were the Flashman series. The man is a total cad, 100 percent anti hero, but its done so well you stand up and cheer for him. History again is great.
Recently sent my mother the first three books in Dorthy Gilman’s “The Amazing Mrs Polifax” series. Grandma shows up at the CIA for a job as a spy back when the CIA was still okay. Great fun and maybe the closest I come to detective stories.
My rule of thumb on books now is once they go woke I won’t read any of their new stuff. Older stuff is fine.
I have the entire “The Amazing Mrs Polifax” series. There is also the Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Mertz Egyptian mystery novels. And Dick Francis…. and tons of early science fiction (I have an entire book case of SF)
When I sent my mother the three books, the first and third books in the series was reasonably priced. The second book though was five times the other two. Freaking crooks.

We grew up in a world of usury, so IMO okay if not taken to an extreme (really high interest rates) but for myself no. Although this one does not go back as far as the 600 BC with the House of Egibi, it does a great job going forward from 1099 AD tracing their theory on Radhanite Babylonians, to include their trade network (great use of maps) and their entrance into Brittan and the rest of Europe where the practice of usury is extended across the then civilized world. When I was in college (decades ago) there was a great search for the single theory that would describe all of material life. It was called TOE, the theory of everything. It was primarily a scientific search but did include elements of philosophy, mathematics, and other less data driven investigations. As far as I know the search is ongoing. Recently I have approached this problem from a different perspective, asking a different question. My question is: Given the way our world is evolving or devolving (choose which word suits your own perspective), what are the primary (basic) types of coercion to which human beings and their cultures are subject? I can think of three but you may know of others. My list has been culled down to economic coercion, force coercion (the use of violence), and fear coercion. From my perspective most other specific types of coercion can be placed under one of these three major types. So help me out by poking holes in my conclusions or identifying missed or erroneous assumptions.
My second question is: By correctly understanding the elements of coercion do I have a tool that can be leveraged to assist me or others in the fight for the direction of human civilization? In other words does knowing the answer to the question make any difference?
As I understand it, Psy-Ops is a specific type of propaganda. Propaganda has a least two major functions: 1) to push public perception toward a pre-determined belief or opinion or 2) to steer public perception away from some uncomfortable truth. I classify propaganda more as influence as opposed to coercion. However influence may be a gentler way of bringing coercion to bear.

The TOE folk perhaps should of made a study of the Hindu religion. They pretty much have it all written there, half kidding though, any serious attempt to study would keep them in collage as post graduate students… too much stuff, but they do, do it all, from ontology, cosmology, astronomy, medicine and biology, atoms, law, geography, philosophy the whole shebang, even space travel and atomic warfare in their weird mythological way. Science is still trying to catch up to them, but they didn’t exactly fill in all the holes as they went, some say it was the Soma. Next I’ll take you to a long conversation going on in a very long book. Don’t get lost, taking you to a specific page where a venerated Rishi is answering questions about the Yugas (ages). Feel free to skip to the Kali Yuga, it reads every bit as harsh as The Book of Revelation, but do keep in mind we’ve barely entered in to this age so we’ll not see but a fraction of such if one believed this stuff. Whatever the measures, they should make sense, be goal orientated, achievable and be transparent. The biggest stumbling block assuming we can get started on this would be all the human debris that Democrats have left in their wake. Personally that is their mess and a stick needs to be used to make them clean it up. I could go on about principles of motivation or leadership principles in general, all of which need to be followed as best possible but I’ll cut it off here.
Interesting perspective on Hinduism of which I know next to nothing. I keep returning to the theme of how the government uses coercion to achieve desired outcomes. They seem to be concentrating in this century on economics and fear. It appears that their desired outcome is to promote control over citizens by utilizing economic dependence on the government and to project the government as the only entity with sufficient resources and power to protect them from disease and social discord. They promote class warfare as a substitute for governmental violence. By their use of authoritarian coercion citizens are reduced to fighting on the enemy’s terms and timetable. This, it seems to me, makes effective resistance more problematic and less unified.
Certainly governments use coercion; it’s the main tool in their tool kit. Even for such proper things as punishing real crimes, coercion is involved.
The issue isn’t that governments use coercion, it’s what they use it for.
As an aside, what I couldn’t figure out in your first post was what this has to do with the physicists’ quest for a “Theory of Everything” (which would unify general relativity and the strong, weak, and electromagnetic forces).

I think that some of the ultra-popularized woo versions of GUT+++ where quantum stuff gets dragged in via quantum gravity, get more clicks by dragging in the woo science, which drags in everything else.

I was taking the concept of TOE and seeing how it might apply to our present predicament with respect to social control of large populations. In a sense, applying an approach from one discipline to a different set of conditions and looking for a novel solution. Mr gil took kiddo out to the desert. LSS, the battery died bc a dome light had been left on. They were near a heavily used dirt road about 20 minutes from a paved one.
He called AAA, and even though it was for a battery, they were trying to send a 4×4 tow truck.
The tow company called him and said “That’ll be $500.”
They knew he had a little boy and was stranded too.
When he said that he needed a jump, AAA said “they dont cover dirt roads.” Of any kind.
So they were willing to leave a man and a child stranded in the desert.
By God’s grace, mr gil heard a truck, then another.
He ran toward the road waving his arms but they drove past. He kept waving and the 3 trucks stopped, turned around and came back.
When they stepped out, he was fortunate to see they were the local Sheriff’s Dept out doing desert training.
They were able to jump the car and 1 followed him to make sure he got out safely.
Thank God for good, considerate deputies and AAA really, really should evaluate how they have such poor consideration for their customers, lest they become a victim of far worse circumstances.
In Colorado you can pay extra for better coverage.
I’ve certainly had no difficulty with them other than it takes forever to get a truck because the PD can basically instantly jump the queue whenever they want something towed.
We had a crappy experience with AAA also. We asked for them to bring a bottle of tranny fluid. We ran over a bike that fell off the car in front and detached the line. We re-attached it but needed fluid to replace the amount we lost.
Truck shows up. Looks at the dually and says he can not tow it. We said we asked for fluid and he said all he was told was we needed to be towed. He then left us stranded. Luckily someone stopped and helped us.
We canceled as soon as we got home and demanded the remaining $$$ be refunded.

I called AAA to follow up w them and it took 30 minutes fir them to answer. Used to be within 5. Thank God my husband got help.
Many many years ago I heard the story of someone who broke down on La Veta pass. They got hold of AAA but the only AAA tow truck within an hour, wouldn’t come until they were done watching a football game.
AAA switched to the other gas station in that town.
They have a standard policy to reduce their liability. I am not sure why you would think they were going to do something that their policies do not cover. Pretty sure their contract on the front says we will tow you. On the back the lawyers have chimed in and said, except when and for the following. Because in the past some customer has sued them. Nature of our times.

The spleen is the organ of the body that recognizes and filters out malformed, unhealthy, “bad” blood cells. Healthy blood cells pass harmlessly through.

I’m posting this to all the blogs where I hang to people I love.
Back in May 2021, I posted a method I use for comfort and peace…
– when I can’t sleep,
– am overwhelmed, overwrought, hurt, sad, angry
– when things get rough, jobs seem too tough
– when relationships go wrong
– when problems get magnified and seem bigger than I can handle
– when I need peace
– need to repent, return,
– need to get mind, heart, inner settings reconciled, realigned and refocused, recalibrated to GOD.
The method is to say my ABCs – !
I have listed alphabetically the Bible’s descriptions, attributes,and names of GOD and JESUS our LORD in a little book that I can carry when I travel, when I stay with my disabled daughter, when she is in the hospital, when I’m have a long waiting time in the ER or a doctor’s office, etc.
When I recite them in my mind or say them out loud….it settles and calms my soul, heart and mind.
Highlander asked me to post the whole alphabet, but I never got around to it.
So – since it’s Advent Season – I’ll post them one by one until Christmas – as a kind of ALPHABET ADVENT CALENDAR – in gratitude to all of you, whom I have come to know and love through your great research and comments and our years of coping together with leftist and RINOs, corruption in our government, the pandemic atrocities and crimes against humanity, and ongoing election fraud.
Be warned, while most of the ABCs come directly from Scripture, when I got to X, Y and Z – I had to get creative, inventive, personal and though they are, hopefully, Biblically aligned, they may not be directly from Scripture.
Some of my ABCs came from the book, – The Wonderful Names of our Wonderful Lord, which lists 365 names of God from Genesis to Revelation in the Bible.

Someday, I hope to put the Bible verse notations to all of the ABCs.

He takes online courses from Harvard Medical School and Coursera on medical topics like gene expression. He apparently calls himself an “mRNA alchemist.”
The fact that this screed actually appeared in an actual scientific journal — Biomedicine (Taipei) IMO, says a lot about the “perversion” of much of medical / scientific research by Big Pharma and Big Government into “yes-men” and “lapdogs.”
One is also suspicious that screeds like the Palmer garbage are a kind of “heads-up” about a potential “re-demonization” of the “un-vaccinated.”

My latest borrowed series of detective type fiction I really like but even in those, the most recently written have some prerequisite PC junk.
Once you are sensitized you begin to see it everywhere.
Loves less cerebral books. Most are very fun.
One of the best Young Adult series I’ve read were about Jacky Farber, aka Bloody Jack. History is good and stories are a hoot, but kids should not read it until they are ready and some parents will still balk at that, understood.
Another along the same line were the Flashman series. The man is a total cad, 100 percent anti hero, but its done so well you stand up and cheer for him. History again is great.
Recently sent my mother the first three books in Dorthy Gilman’s “The Amazing Mrs Polifax” series. Grandma shows up at the CIA for a job as a spy back when the CIA was still okay. Great fun and maybe the closest I come to detective stories.
My rule of thumb on books now is once they go woke I won’t read any of their new stuff. Older stuff is fine.
I have the entire “The Amazing Mrs Polifax” series. There is also the Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Mertz Egyptian mystery novels. And Dick Francis…. and tons of early science fiction (I have an entire book case of SF)
When I sent my mother the three books, the first and third books in the series was reasonably priced. The second book though was five times the other two. Freaking crooks.
Neve read Dick Francis, but notices horses are somehow always part of the plot.
He was Jockey for the Queen of England… so he really knows his horses. The stories are very good mysteries.
I loved reading those Elizabeth Peters novels!

When I was in college (decades ago) there was a great search for the single theory that would describe all of material life. It was called TOE, the theory of everything. It was primarily a scientific search but did include elements of philosophy, mathematics, and other less data driven investigations. As far as I know the search is ongoing. Recently I have approached this problem from a different perspective, asking a different question. My question is: Given the way our world is evolving or devolving (choose which word suits your own perspective), what are the primary (basic) types of coercion to which human beings and their cultures are subject? I can think of three but you may know of others. My list has been culled down to economic coercion, force coercion (the use of violence), and fear coercion. From my perspective most other specific types of coercion can be placed under one of these three major types. So help me out by poking holes in my conclusions or identifying missed or erroneous assumptions.
My second question is: By correctly understanding the elements of coercion do I have a tool that can be leveraged to assist me or others in the fight for the direction of human civilization? In other words does knowing the answer to the question make any difference?
I think a fourth is Psych-Ops — Fifth Generation warfare which is based on LIES but not necessarily fear.
As I understand it, Psy-Ops is a specific type of propaganda. Propaganda has a least two major functions: 1) to push public perception toward a pre-determined belief or opinion or 2) to steer public perception away from some uncomfortable truth. I classify propaganda more as influence as opposed to coercion. However influence may be a gentler way of bringing coercion to bear.
It is still a very very good way to take over a country as we are witnessing.
I look at Psy-Ops as UNDETECTED coercion and therefore the most successful type since what you are unaware of you can not fight against.
I think coercion itself is a good concept, and you can split it many ways.
Getting others to do something is basically it.

Interesting perspective on Hinduism of which I know next to nothing. I keep returning to the theme of how the government uses coercion to achieve desired outcomes. They seem to be concentrating in this century on economics and fear. It appears that their desired outcome is to promote control over citizens by utilizing economic dependence on the government and to project the government as the only entity with sufficient resources and power to protect them from disease and social discord. They promote class warfare as a substitute for governmental violence. By their use of authoritarian coercion citizens are reduced to fighting on the enemy’s terms and timetable. This, it seems to me, makes effective resistance more problematic and less unified.
Certainly governments use coercion; it’s the main tool in their tool kit. Even for such proper things as punishing real crimes, coercion is involved.
The issue isn’t that governments use coercion, it’s what they use it for.
As an aside, what I couldn’t figure out in your first post was what this has to do with the physicists’ quest for a “Theory of Everything” (which would unify general relativity and the strong, weak, and electromagnetic forces).
I think that some of the ultra-popularized woo versions of GUT+++ where quantum stuff gets dragged in via quantum gravity, get more clicks by dragging in the woo science, which drags in everything else.
Quantum mechanics gets abused a lot by charlatan “philosphers” like Deepak Chopra, who babbles inanely about it and when challenged points out no one in the audience knows better than he does.

Mr gil took kiddo out to the desert. LSS, the battery died bc a dome light had been left on. They were near a heavily used dirt road about 20 minutes from a paved one.
He called AAA, and even though it was for a battery, they were trying to send a 4×4 tow truck.
The tow company called him and said “That’ll be $500.”
They knew he had a little boy and was stranded too.
When he said that he needed a jump, AAA said “they dont cover dirt roads.” Of any kind.
So they were willing to leave a man and a child stranded in the desert.
By God’s grace, mr gil heard a truck, then another.
He ran toward the road waving his arms but they drove past. He kept waving and the 3 trucks stopped, turned around and came back.
When they stepped out, he was fortunate to see they were the local Sheriff’s Dept out doing desert training.
They were able to jump the car and 1 followed him to make sure he got out safely.
Thank God for good, considerate deputies and AAA really, really should evaluate how they have such poor consideration for their customers, lest they become a victim of far worse circumstances.
In Colorado you can pay extra for better coverage.
I’ve certainly had no difficulty with them other than it takes forever to get a truck because the PD can basically instantly jump the queue whenever they want something towed.
We will keep that in mind outside of CA. This instance seemed like scamming and a careless company.
We had a crappy experience with AAA also. We asked for them to bring a bottle of tranny fluid. We ran over a bike that fell off the car in front and detached the line. We re-attached it but needed fluid to replace the amount we lost.
Truck shows up. Looks at the dually and says he can not tow it. We said we asked for fluid and he said all he was told was we needed to be towed. He then left us stranded. Luckily someone stopped and helped us.
We canceled as soon as we got home and demanded the remaining $$$ be refunded.
