I am thinking we are probably headed for cooling. Given the solar insolation has drop, warming is out of the question.
The Holocene interglacial is now 11,720+ years old….. That’s two centuries or so beyond half the present precession cycle (or 23,000/2=11,500). Only one interglacial , MIS-11, since the Mid-Pleistocene Transition has lasted longer than about half a precession cycle.
Any hope that the Holocene would go long was shot down by the real world data of Lisiecki and Raymo in 2005 in their rebuttal of the models of Loutre and Berger, 2003.
NOAA gave the following data 60◦ N :
Depth of the last ice age – around 463 Wm−2
NOW (modern Warm Period) 476 Wm-2
Holocene peak insolation: 522.5 Wm-2
So at this point the earth is a heck of a lot closer to glaciation than it is to peak warming. Remember ALL the energy comes from the sun not from Greenhouse gases that just retard the escape of the sun’s energy.

MIS 13a – insolation = 500 W m−2,

This would indicate that when the solar insolation gets somewhere below 500 W m−2 other factors can tip the climate into the cold state. The paper also mentions the reactivation of the bipolar seesaw as indicative of the start of glaciation. This would indicate the poles have an impact on glaciation.
Steven Wilde has connected low solar activity to the “loopy Jets” that allows the blocking highs that plagued us in winter. Tony Heller has compared the ‘Polar Express’ shape caused by ‘loopy jets’ to the Laurentide ice sheet in North America. – a very decent match.

The Humbolt current is a tongue of cold water from the wind driven Antarctic Circumpolar Current.
Another paper gives: Decadal Changes of Wind Stress over the Southern Ocean Associated with Antarctic Ozone Depletion.
Ozone is formed and destroyed by different wavelengths of sunlight that varies as I just explained. The strength of the cold Humbolt current could easily be related to the strength of those winds and the Humbolt current in turn may determines whether ENSO is El Nino or La Nina.

Oh and you can also throw in a possible lunar connection to Dansgaard-Oeschger oscillations where global temps change 8C, 10 C and even 16C returning to near interstatial temperatures in dramatically short times like within a decade.

The fundamental problem here is that all of these climate theories are based on raw data coming out of government agencies that have been repeatedly caught lying. I have repeatedly caught them lying about hurricane data, dutchsinse has spent over ten years calling out the USGS for fudging earthquake data, Miles Mathis has caught them repeatedly lying about sunspot data, and, hell, even Matt Drudge before he sucked used to call out the NHC’s bad hurricane data. They won’t even give us plebs accurate data about an earthquake that happened yesterday or a hurricane that happened last season, but somehow we’re expected to believe climate predictions based on this same garbage data. It’s basically a religion at this point—faith in the data is required to believe any of these climate theories. And, frankly, I have none. I have zero trust in any data coming out of any government agency, and, if I’m being completely blunt here, genuinely don’t understand why others do. All I can really do in this situation is look at how the big money cabal shitheads like Bill Gates are positioning themselves, and, in this case, global warming/cooling/climate prediction of the week does not appear to be a priority in their property purchases. I am aware concerning boy scouts. We had that in gymnastics also but not with my daughter some other kids. I stayed 24/7 during gymnastics. Church youth group had a problem. One needs to be aware and let kids know what is acceptable and what is not.
I am positive there are lesbians in the girl scouts. My granddaughter ask for a specific leader and also a specific person who travels with her. She was happy she got all three wished she ask for. Every location they are met with a contact person who shows them around. Since she wanted to be with native people who used to be Russian Orthodox Christians I think still Orthodox . The pride flag will not be welcome in these places. My granddaughter is focusing her teaching on business since she minors in business and major computer science. They are lucky staying in a High School with and stove to cook and warm shower. She loves to cook but then she is a fussy eater 🙂

So, here’s a little video of a miniature Hit-and-Miss engine.
This type of engine was very popular back in the day. They go “pop-pop-pop” to spin-up the flywheel, then hold valves and use little fuel until the speed gets below a certain point. Every so often, it gets a pop or two to keep the flywheel spinning.
A lot of people build these engines as models, but the “real” ones were built on an industrial scale — several feet tall.
I have to confess that I didn’t initially “get it” about why anyone might want such a device. Seriously, I was a member of a club that builds this sort of thing for well over a year, and didn’t clue in.
If you only see them go “pop” and spin the flywheel four times, then “pop” and spin the flywheel again, you won’t get it — but if you see someone apply a load to the engine, it might go “pop” and only spin twice. And if the load increases, it may start to “pop” on every turn of the shaft — and generate real horsepower. Then you let go and it goes back to “pop” and spin the flywheel a bit.
This could be put in a remote location and only have it sip fuel throughout the day — but if its power is needed, it will be there.

When there are declining tenants for multi-tenant income producing properties, the owners and developers get upside down in a hurry. Banks holding the loans lose income and capital adequacy gets thin. All of it is signals declining productivity, sales, and demand for products and services.
Hotels are special purpose properties that are difficult and costly to convert to other purposes. Lenders tend to take a bigger hit when they tube.
Most people miss the signs around them. As an example, we drove by an equipment maintenance shop and storage yard today. They service and repair large equipment. In good times there are zero to two large cranes on the lot because of the many large commercial construction projects in this rapidly growing area. Today I saw six along with a lot full of other large equipment.
No work. Contractors and rental companies bring them in for repairs and maintenance during times such as this. The big CRE investment money is sitting on the sidelines unsure about how this is going to go.
I would think this is different than in the past. The bottom of a market isnt as attractive when those in charge are claiming reparations,eminent domain, and forced housing for illegals, in addition to 2 residential property ins co.s ending new clients in CA dt crime and even a couple auto ins have said no more.

Marica posted late last night.
Her son Tay’s late fiancee, Denali, passed away while taking a nap in the afternoon of Tuesday 5 June. Apparently, it was her son who discovered her body several hours later. Marica and her husband rushed over. Police and EMT’s on the scene confirmed that Denali was dead. Marica collapsed.
The visitation at the funeral home is today. The funeral will take place “at a future date.”
This young woman was apparently in good health. She and Tay were planning their wedding.
May the Almighty God bless and comfort everyone in these two families, Marica’s and Denali’s.

Family report in “brief”
I was blessed to enjoy an extended trip out of town surrounding Memorial Day taking my son Josiah & his wife Rose along to my parents’ Northern Michigan cottage. We arrived earlier than other family members to get the place opened up & hopefully get leaf duty done to lessen tasks the elders would try to tackle upon their delayed arrival. Once again, like last year, one of the pipes had burst over the winter so we were using buckets of lake water to use toilets & wash hands until my husband arrived & fixed the one break point w/ a 15 cent compression washer part! He LOVES the Gil-Roy’s store in town w/ Very Helpful & Knowledgeable staff–they’ve gotten a customer for life!
We did not have a big gang which has been typical for decades due to my brother’s family not coming at all, nor could any of my other kids make this holiday trip. My dad’s sister made a brief appearance after having been at a midwestern women’s naturalist or herbalist convention in Wisconsin (all faiths but Christianity were allowed open expression, hmm). The last time we’d all been at The Cottage was for Aunt Pat’s celebratory (85th B-day) Mackinac Bridge Walk adventure & there were so many extended family members there that a neighboring cottage was also rented plus several tents were erected in the yard…
We returned home late this past weekend & have been tired from the work & our travels, plus had a big day at U of M Hospital yesterday for Josiah’s heart doc visit…copied remarks from a reply to Cthulhu on that below.
BTW, Josiah’s Pediatric Cardiology (they always follow congenital/birth defect heart issues) appointment went Great!!! No changes in his heart functioning in 2 years & he doesn’t need to be seen again for another 2 years (barring any issues arising), which is tied with the longest he has thus far ever gone between cardio visits.
A great, & very comforting to me at least, thing is that thus far there is No further heart surgery on the horizon! We had been told he’d likely need open heart #3 by roughly junior high age (his other heart surgeries were at 2 months & 4 1/2 years old) & we’ve been wondering ever since–he’s 27 now. IF he needs another heart surgery the doc was adamant that it wouldn’t suddenly descend upon us but would develop gradually & we’d have plenty of advance warning, likely over a number of years.
For us (me) that’s about as close to peace of mind as it’s possible to get w/ Josiah’s health issues. Thank you Lord!!!
As an aside there was Finally No Mask Naziism toward us as patients &/or visitors to the hospital!!! This greatly reduced my stress in being there 🙂 However, according to J’s doc it wasn’t until the next day (today) that the “mask mandates” for the staff would finally be removed. When the doc came to the exam room he stepped into the room then backed out across the threshold so that he could pull the mask down & greet us w/ a smile from outside the room. What a bizarre necessity dictated by looney overlords 🙁
Josiah’s twin Brandon was over hanging w/ hubby when we got home from Up North, so we had a chance to visit for a while. B is still training for City of Detroit firefighting & EMT. He’s currently doing the EMT training which is open-ended as far as timing goes, until the various training techs sign off on the trainee’s skills. He started working with a close friend who’s been doing such work for a number of years now & is legendary in the department. Now he’s working at a different EMT location under a different trainer w/ a completely different approach.
To quote my great uncle & his description of a “Triple H enema” Brandon’s experiences have been “High, Hot, & a Hell of a lot”! Detroit is (shock/s) extremely understaffed & overwhelmed with all manner of legitimate & bogus (street people looking for free rides & meals, etc.) emergency situations. Apparently there are usually only 14 ambulances available in the city (run by the city, there are other private ones additionally) & in B’s experience thus far they are on calls virtually non-stop for each of his 12 hour shifts, barely having any “down” time at the station. Usually all staff are out on the ambulance so the station is left empty throughout the days & nights.
The learning curve is enormous & B is a bit of a perfectionist so is under A Lot of stress & exhaustion. Also as soon as he is signed off to be doing the EMT work w/out supervision he may be called upon to provide training for an even newer EMT. That’s how bad the staffing issues are in Detroit!
Anyway, I’d really appreciate prayers for Brandon as he continues to lay his life down for others & continues his transition into his chosen career.

PS for those keeping track of such things is was incredibly, unseasonably hot during virtually all the days we were in Gaylord. Most days were in the low to mid 90’s w/ nights, thankfully, going down into the 50’s & 60’s. It has been very rare to hit 90 up there but to have a week straight in May was Very Unusual…hmmm
Those temps did make swimming in typically “frigid” spring fed Otsego Lake much more enjoyable however!

Very unusual. I saw Gail talking about her lower than usual temps in one of the Carolinas too the other day & I was like how strange that we were having their weather in Northern Michigan 😉 If it hadn’t cooled down at night it would have been Brutal!

What struck me about him is that he “fully regrets” transitioning and that he didn’t have surgery until he was 30 after having lived as a woman since he was 19. So he knew something about the lifestyle, but did not know how unsussessful surgery would be. But he was not a teenager when he made that decision.
Yes – the last part where he regrets the result AS AN ADULT, having made the decision AS AN ADULT, really should make people wake up.
Because “transing” doesn’t fix anything! The “problem” isn’t that they are the wrong “gender,” the problem is they are mentally ill. And NOTHING is being done to address their mental state, only their physical one.

This concept of ‘belief’ trumping reality seems to be something that society needs to have a come to Jesus moment about.
People are capable of believing practically anything, but our belief about some thing does not determine the reality of that thing.

It’s as if many people are regressing to a mental state similar to what children experience at the age when they still believe in things like Santa Claus. It’s a wonderful state of mind for a child, but it doesn’t work as an adult.
Whatever we may believe must be subject to some kind of basic analysis, in order to determine whether what we believe is actually true, or at least that a preponderance of the evidence supports the belief.
Reality might be considered like a gravitational center, and for whatever reason, it’s as if, for a growing number of people, the merry-go-round is spinning so fast that they are hitting escape velocity and flying off into imaginary universes.
There is no ‘grounding’ in basic fundamentals of reality, or even, apparently, the mental training to evaluate things according to basic fundamentals of reality.
It has to be extremely disorienting. I couldn’t stand to exist that way, unable to rationally explain or defend what I believe and why. Not unlike being tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine… turned up to ’11’.
And importantly, always allowing for the possibility that I may be wrong, because sometimes I am! If I am wrong, pretend like I’m from Missouri, and show me. I want to know. Like the bank robber scene in the Dirty Harry movie, after Harry starts to walk away from the injured bank robber. The bank robber says “I gots to know” (whether there were any bullets left in Harry’s .44 Magnum). I always related to that guy, at that particular moment. If I was the bank robber, I would have said the same thing. I gots to know too 😂
Then there is another aspect of it that was very apparent in the Matt Walsh movie. When he trapped them with their own words, they recognized it and reacted strongly (negatively) to it, which revealed that they do recognize and understand the logical inconsistencies of their ‘beliefs’. They just choose to ignore those inconsistencies, and then demand that everyone else ignore them too.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a far-left pro-homosexual and pro-transgender organization, declared on Tuesday that the LGBTQ crowd is facing a “state of emergency” after widespread backlash to its radical agenda.
Axios reports that this is the first such declaration in HRC’s 40-year history. The group issued a press release claiming that there has been an “unprecedented and dangerous spike in anti-LGBTQ+ legislative assaults sweeping state houses this year,” primarily in response to the attempted mainstreaming of transgenderism via popular culture and public education.
At least 75 bills cracking down on transgenderism have been signed into law across the country, which has led to HRC releasing its own guidebook on the current status of such state laws. There have been over 400 bills in total that have been introduced on the subject this year alone, although not all of them have passed.
“The multiplying threats facing millions in our community are not just perceived — they are real, tangible and dangerous,” Kelley Robinson, the president of HRC, claimed in her own statement. “In many cases, [the laws] are resulting in violence against LGBTQ+ people, forcing families to uproot their lives and flee their homes in search of safer states, and triggering a tidal wave of increased homophobia and transphobia that puts the safety of each and every one of us at risk.”
That made me laugh. But I don’t believe the part about violance. I haven’t seen one report of it. They need to stop falsely accusing us, even if it’s with a broad brush instead of individually.
