Dear KAG: 20230928 Open Thread

Praying for our wonderful Deplorable Patriot, and giving Gail a break, too.

Think of this as “DePat Light” – not quite the real thing, but definitely not woke!

Originally scheduled for Wednesday (see featured image), when Gail was doing her Part 2, this was moved to Thursday.

This one never gets old or wrong.

WARNING!!! GROOMER ALERT!!!

Speaking of Catturd getting swatted…..

Ah, the “usual suspects” must appear!

And, of course, the obligatory George Carlin:

Per the Boss:

Boss correcting now to “Oligarchs including but not limited to George Soros“.

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller, the late Wheatie, gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone

Please, stock up on blanks for celebratory gunfire, be ready to swing from the chandeliers…and no messing with the nuclear weapons.

Please remember to remain locked and loaded and ready for trouble should the insurrectionists try to invade your space.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. You’re welcome to visit over there and say hi to anyone hanging out over there. The “Rescue Thread” is also over there. In the event a rendezvous of the tree is needed, please check it out, as well as the newest rescue venue.

Auntie DePat’s requests:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

Thank you so much for any and all attention to such details. It is GREATLY appreciated by more than one party here.

One other vital note:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. It won’t take long.

YEAH! READ THE RULES! Or just watch this video!

OK, we need some church after that Saturday night.

But I repeat myself!

OK, after that church, I need some church!

Anybody got a good baptism story? Here’s the best one ever. In my occasionally humble opinion.

Matthew 3:13-17

The Baptism of Jesus
(Mark 1:9–11Luke 3:21–22John 1:29–34)

13At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”

15“Let it be so now,” Jesus replied. “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness in this way.” Then John permitted Him.

16As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened,d and He sawe the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. 17And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”

This one’s good enough to run again, too!

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Please include: President Donald Trump, the Q team, our soldiers in the field, special forces, tactical units, first responders and those working behind the scenes…and any and all people with family members in the hospital, COVID or not.

And…members of the QTree who no longer participate for one reason or another.

It is quite clear, as per Wolf’s message from July, that we are under spiritual attack. Building up a robust arsenal of prayer and discipline is a must in fighting the enemy and his minions.

In that spirit, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel from Tuesday’s threads, and the Breastplate of St. Patrick, not to mention the Litany of Humility are favorites recommended by exorcists in spiritual warfare.

Nice Sopwith! That means it must be……Thursday.

Sopwith Camel…originally scheduled for Wednesday…hump day…

cthulhu

I think that might have been a Sopwith Theater Marquee….currently scheduled for Thursday….theater day…..

Happy go lucky

Lego is the best toy. I’ve spent soooo much money on Lego, and it was worth every penny, no regrets.

cthulhu

When I was a kid, we had Erector, Lincoln Logs, Lego, Tinkertoy…..

jgreen42

Sadly, I too am old enough where my parents never experienced the joy of stepping on Lego.

Cuppa Covfefe

Ahh, but we Halsam “American Plastic Bricks”, which were flatter, maybe 1×2 inches rectangular, and equally painful… the early sets didn’t lock together, but the newer ones, e.g. 755, did. They had all manner of lintels. coping bricks, windows, roof elements, garage doors, etc. Lots of fun there, too…

And none of those sets with 100 useless (for the most part) 1×1 bricks 🙂

Oh, and I could build tunnels for my Lionel Train set…

Not forgetting the Kenner Girder/Panel/Highway sets… brilliant design and combination possibilities; the road sections were great (except the tabs would break off, eventually)….

rayzorback

Back in my day with Legos… There were no “Sets” with build instructions and “specialty” parts. Just a big ‘ol tub of various blocks. There were some “roof” sloped blocks… I used those roof blocks as the bow of a boat and built the boat upside down. Had to use our IMAGINATION back then. (Not just follow the “Instructions”….
Hmmmm.

Reminds me of the “fatberg” description I’ve heard of sewer residue in Detroit 🙁

A fatberg is a rock-like mass of waste matter in a sewer system formed by the combination of flushed non-biodegradable solids, such as wet wipes, and fat, oil, and grease (FOG) deposits. The handling of FOG waste and the buildup of its deposits is a long-standing problem in waste management, with “fatberg” being a more recent neologism.1 Fatbergs are a growing scourge infesting cities around the world, with some being more than 800 feet long and weighing more than four humpback whales. They can cause sewer systems to block up and even overflow, forcing governments and utilities companies to send workers down into the sewers armed with water hoses, vacuums, and scrapers with the unenviable task of prying them loose.0

Cuppa Covfefe

And those are what you get “thanks” to low-flow faucets, toilets, etc.

Sewage systems, in particular mains, are designed with an anticipated flow rate in mind. If that flow rate is not met, the sewage starts to pack up like this.

We had the same thing up north in Hamburg (the perverted city which gave us Kanzler “I know nothink” Scholz) where the GangGreens had managed to get flow-reduction mandated everywhere…

The solution? The fire department(s) have to flush the lines every week or so to keep the flow going. In the end, it uses more water, energy, and money, that it did before the know-nothing GangGreens messed with it.

The law of unintended consequences, although in this case, I think it’s Aubergine’s law… The sewer designers had it right; it’s just the GangGreens that had the Ty-D-Bowl touch… everything they touch turns to $#!t….. 💩

The type of financial statements businesses give to banks as part of loan documentation ALWAYS include a disclaimer not to rely on the fin stmts provided and that banks must do their own due diligence. It’s fairly boilerplate language and standard practice.

TheseTruths

Thank you!

pgroup2

And … it is clear proof of malicious prosecution. DJT should have that lawsuit already drafted and ready to file.

It should also result in the prosecutor being disbarred.

Judges are attorneys first. Their licenses can be yanked [in some states like here in WA, no Bar license means no judgeship].

“The type of financial statements businesses give to banks as part of loan documentation ALWAYS include a disclaimer not to rely on the fin stmts provided and that banks must do their own due diligence.”

____________

One might think the banks — you know, the one’s smart enough to have all the money in the first place — would already know that, without, you know, needing a disclaimer… 😁

TradeBait2

^^^ This.

I’ve seen and heard enough BS on this stuff to make me want to vomit.

Folks, I was on the other side of the desk for many years in all types of loan transactions, including business loans like PDT’s to a family of current billionaires and many other wealthy people. I lived this stuff.

This case is a bogus as there is. Federal and state regulations require specific things to be done with commercial/corporate loans to verify all aspects of each transaction. After all of the due diligence is done, which includes income tax verifications, lender property inspections (often times by contracted third party specialists) and legitimate appraisals in compliance with FIRREA – see link below for a sleeping aid – the loan request is presented through the FDIC regulated and audited loan approval process. This includes Board loan committee final approval. If the loan is a “participation” loan, which most large loans are, the loan request also gets reviewed by the officers of the participating lenders prior to closing.

https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-12/chapter-I/part-34

With loans of this type and size, after the loan is made with a detailed loan agreement with extensive covenants executed the lenders typically sell off a chunk of the loan to hedge funds and such through securitization methods. The lead lender retains servicing rights, which include continuing procurement of PDT/Companies’ financial statements, tax returns and a periodic reappraisal of the subject property to assure it remains in compliance with the loan agreement covenants relating to loan to market value, financial operations ratios, etc. The financial loan audits of examiners and internal lender auditors continue annually for as long as the loan is on the books. The capital requirements of lenders is impacted by the ratings of the respective audits, which also impacts the lender(s)’ profitability. Speculative commercial real estate loans have brought down many a bank – see the bank closures earlier this year for examples.

That PDT and companies have no loan defaults and paid back all loans on time as required while complying with the loan agreements is all the proof that is needed. The examiners are using fine tooth combs to detect trouble with the system on the brink. The loans were high grade.

There is virtually no way in Hades that PDT would get away with fabricating the worth of properties. The worth can change post closing up or down based on economic conditions, locational changes, condition of the property, etc. However, the value/worth always complied with the loan agreement or there would have been a condition of default triggered.

The judge and AG/staff should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and thrown under the prison. But they probably will not be because the NYC area is one of the most corrupt places on the planet. The District of Crims and New York Corrupts vie for the top spot IMO.

The whole thing is BS. It IS election interference. They are scared out of their minds to try stuff this stupid.

pat frederick

thanks for this tradebait!

“The whole thing is BS. It IS election interference. They are scared out of their minds to try stuff this stupid.”

^^^EXACTLY THIS.^^^

This smacks of a desperation that is unreal. What do these people think is going to happen if Trump wins?

TheseTruths

I always have “international affairs” in the back of my mind, that they’re not just concerned about what happens here, but how it is all connected globally.

But the domestic concerns are YUGE. Their roles in voter fraud, bribes, and money laundering could be revealed and prosecuted. Likewise their knowledge of COVID and vaccine scams and the suffering and death caused by all of that. What I suspect would be the worst for any of them would be revelations that they were involved in human trafficking. Crimes against children bring people out with pitchforks, tar and feathers, and nooses.

scott467

All of which is why they would sooner nuke their own country, or cause America to be nuked by someone else, before any such revelations are credibly made.

Because they have nothing to lose.

It’s a very simple proposition.

If you take me out, I’m taking everyone with me.

‘Everyone’ is the hostages.

That’s us.

Aubergine

I think the children are a very large piece of the puzzle.

Cuppa Covfefe

The DEMONRATS and the globalists HATE children.

They also want to steal their innocence, just like Satan is always looking for an out, to get Adam and Eve “back in the Garden”… the NewAgers and Satanists (but I repeat myself) actually want that…

We are stardust, we are golden

We are caught in the devils bargain

And we got to get ourselves back to the garden

(Joni Mitchell’s Lyrics)

scott467

I’m not certain that was the context or intent of Joni’s lyrics… but who knows anymore.

scott467

“This smacks of a desperation that is unreal. What do these people think is going to happen if Trump wins?

_______________

They have already decided he won’t.

That’s why they’re doing these kinds of things, and they will do a lot worse, because there is nothing they won’t do to save their own necks.

And because they know that no matter how bad it looks, it doesn’t matter, because there is no one to physically stop them.

Cuppa Covfefe

Then what do you suggest?

Barb Meier

Thank you, TradeBait2 for explaining how loans of this type work and including a nice “sleeping aid” link, too! Your post makes great educational ammo against insufferable trolls, DAs, and prosecutors.

https://nypost.com/2023/09/27/influencer-meatball-livestreamed-philadelphia-looting/

Meatball, whose real name is Dayjia Blackwell, shared video and photos on her Instagram Stories gleefully documenting the mass plunder of several businesses, including an Apple store, a Foot Locker, a Lululemon and a liquor store.

The content creator with close to 650,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok could be seen laughing, clapping and shouting “Let’s go!” as she witnessed suspected looters fleeing while she was driven across the city.

Blackwell later continued filming the frenzy on foot, capturing her apparent enthusiasm.

“Tell the police they’re either gonna lock me up tonight, or it’s gonna get lit, it’s gonna be a movie,” she said at one point in her videos.

Joining a crowd of youngsters loitering in the street, a laughing Blackwell exclaimed at one point: “This is what happens when we don’t get justice in this city.”

There’s a lot more about her behavior and the looting at the link.

I don’t keep up with the supposed injustices and am frankly bored with it. Does anyone know what the current issue is? Did I miss something major, like someone getting killed?

yup…
FTA
First, just before 8 p.m., they broke into Foot Locker, police said, stealing clothes and other merchandise, before moving down Walnut Street. They gathered around the Apple Store and pried the front doors from the hands of security guards inside, video shows, before running in and fleeing with iPads, iPhones, and other electronics amid cheers.
The celebrations were short-lived. Soon after those who took them ran from the store, the devices were disabled and locked by Apple security, and a loud alarm blared from each phone’s speakers. People started smashing the electronics in the street and police recovered a “pile of iPads” abandoned nearby.

OK, the hairdo thing reminded me of a favorite family story, which my dad tells Way better than I do. His dad, my grandpa (of Lefty “fame” in a previous post), was staying at our house as he slowly regained his strength in his early 80’s following a rough illness involving pneumonia. At one point he decided he needed a haircut & went to a local barber. The man did a passable job & then asked Grandpa to settle up for his work. “That’ll be Five Dollars!” (My dad always says this part like Fye Dollars) & Grandpa is like “Five Dollars??? I’ve never paid five dollars for a haircut in my life!”

Some discussion & back & forth ensues w/ the proprietor blaming the price on the union or something. Finally Grandpa has had enough & he is Not going to pay Five Dollars. “Not only am I not going to pay Five Dollars, but I think I can lick you. Not only that I think I can outrun you!” The Extremely pissed off barber finally agrees to a lesser fee (maybe it was $2 or $3) but tells Grandpa to never come to his shop again!

Every time my dad tells this story we end up cracking up. My grandpa had been so sick that he’d thought he’d never go back to his own home (the Cottage Up North) to live alone again (thankfully he was wrong). He’d had to slowly regain his strength, working up to walking even as far as the neighbor’s house–those are 40′ city lots. The fact that he was ready to either “lick” a guy or “outrun” him was a testament to his feisty fortitude even as an old man!

Valerie Curren

So in the spirit of story telling on feisty “old” relatives…here is a tale in my Aunt Pat’s own words. She is my dad’s only sister & daughter of Grandpa above. I guess the apple truly doesn’t fall far from the tree 😉 This is from 8-25-21

Hello Friends and Relatives:

At around 4 p.m. yesterday, August 25, 2021, a most bizarre event occurred on my front lawn and I just have to tell you about it.

In order to do so I have to begin on July 3, 2021, when I returned from grocery shopping and was turning into my driveway, there parked in my driveway was a white Honda and a little old gray haired lady was snipping off the coneflowers. bee balms and other flowers in my prairie yard. I parked behind her car, got out and told her to stop cutting my flowers. She told me that she thought no one lived here so it would be alright to steal my flowers. I informed her that I surly did live here. I asked who she though mowed the lawn, put up the little fence to keep the flowers from falling on the sidewalk, and indeed he had planted them and took care of them. She seemed to think that all the 100s of beautiful flowers in my yard just grew there because no one lived there and took care of them. So I lectured her about stealing people’s landscaping, etc. etc. I assured her that the house was not abandoned and that she was not welcome to ever come back and steal my flowers again. I may even have left her take them since they were already cut off.

Well, yesterday afternoon (temperature in high 90s and humidity also in high 90s) I went out to pick up the mail in my mail box and lo and behold, the same white Honda is parked across the street and little old gray haired lady is again snipping off my oxeye sunflower and wild senna. I was quite a little mad and upset that she had the audasity to come back and steal my flowers again. So I went up to her and told her to stop stealing my flowers. I had my arms full of papers and letters from the mail box, and I told her that she was stealing my flowers AGAIN and that she had to stop. I asked her to hand the flowers over to me, but she refused, holding them very tightly in her right hand along with the tiny scissors which folded up into about 1.5 to 2-inch long orange plastic container, and her car key.

So when she stubbornly refused to return my flowers, I grabbed her right wrist and tried to open her tightly closed fist. She, of course, fought back and we wrested for a moment and then I threw her down on the front lawn and flopped on top of her so i could use both hands to pry open her fist and get my flowers back. This is incredible, that she would come back, that she would not give me my flowers back and actually fight against me trying to take my flowers back. I couldn’t believe this was really happening. Well, I was talking to her most of the time about her bad habit of stealing flowers and warning her never, ever to come back again or I would call the police and get her arrested. Can you imagine two old gray haired “ladies” tumbling on the front lawn over a handful of wild flowers.

I was able to get her fist pried partly open and get a flower or two back plus I got her car key. She quickly snatched up the little orange plastic knife case so I didn’t get that or the rest of my flowers. She even accused me of taking advantage of a poor old woman and I laughed in her face saying I was probably poorer and older than she. She said she was 81, and i am in my 85th year. When I asked her name she said “Suzie Q” and she would NOT PROMISE NEVER TO STEAL MY FLOWERS AGAIN, or give me back the flowers she still had clenched in her hand. I must admit I was sweating a lot in the heat and humidity and hay fever to boot and i did have her car key so I let her up. When she realized that her key was gone, I told her it probably got lost when we were wrestling on the ground, so while she searched for it, I picked up my scattered mail and went into the house.

I returned with pencil and paper and copied down her car license number. I dangled her key in front of her, and again asked for my flowers back. She relucktently threw them on the ground (they were in pretty bad shape by then) so I gave her back her car key. Again she refused to promise to never come back to my yard again.

After she left and i went back inside, i did call the police to report the incident, she certainly seemed to be mentally off a bit to act the way she did and I expected that she might come back and do something more drastic to my flowers or house. It took me about 25 minutes to read back over my journal-diary to discover when I had first found her stealing flowers from my yard so I could tell the police the whole story. When i called them, i recognized officer Bobinski’s voice. He and I go back a long, long time. He took my two house break ins and jewelry thefts, He took in my two huge unlawful credit card bills in Chuck’s name after he had been dead 5 years or so, He took in my fradulent credit card purchases (there were 4 of those) so he knew me well. He was most concerned that I could have been injured in the melee, she did have scissors. He made me promise to call 9-11 next time, stay in the house, and avoid contact. which i agreed to do.

I never thought she would do what she did. I expected her to be ashamed and repent for being caught red-handed the second time and give me back my flowers. But I’m pretty tough and I taught myself Ju-Jitsu from a book (never with a person) back when I was in 6th grade. In fact i nearly killed Alice Ann Gains’s dad when I stayed over at her house one time. We were making popcorn and he was playing at trying to get some from us before we were ready to serve it. That was the first and last time I ever used my judo. He kicked his foot at us and quick as a wink a grabbed it and flipped him over backwards. He could have hit his head on the stairs or something else and been killed. It all happened so quick, I was so surprised how effortless it was for a 100 pound 15 or 16 year old girl to flip a big man (he must have weighed 200 pounds or so) over on his back and head. I was afraid ever to do it again because I was scared of really hurting someone or even killing them. Luckily he was fine (probably with a big bruise) and he took responsibility for causing the action, and Alice and I were friends through high school.

About 40 minutes later Officer Bobinski called me back. He told me that she lived in Boling Brook and he told her she was stealing and I had a right to protect my property. She again claimed the house was vacant and she had not believed me when I talked to her back in July. He told her she was never to come on my property again. But I’m not so sure that she will obey his words any more than she obeyed mine.

Ah, such is life when you live it differently from the rest of the world. I hope this story gives you all a big laugh. I still can’t believe It happened.

Well she probably wasn’t living surly, until this bint showed up with her scissors.

Well my aunt’s place is pretty unique. She has a large yard of natural prairie plants that have to be burned off annually, supervised by the fire department. It probably looks overgrown & untamed from certain angles…

I just thought that surly for surely was a very apropos typo under the circumstances

Not likely in suburban Chicago! Plus the fires were/are a natural process, which as a botanist she probably is attempting to emulate…Maybe she could get some goats on her natural roof though? 😉

So, Valerie…..you wouldn’t, perchance, have keys to the blog laying around anywhere — would you?

Valerie Curren

What Exactly are you asking me here?

cthulhu

Obviously, you can comment — but can you do posts on this blog? I’m trying to remember who can and who can’t and I’m having trouble.

It doesn’t help that we have people who can comment and post at various other related blogs.

Yes I can write posts. My most recent was subbing in for Carl when he was still sick…

Over on the current page, Wolf is doing placeholders for next week because DePat is expected to be out, Gail is up to her earlobes in daycare visits, and Wolf is trying to keep the Huns from overrunning Ohio.

Might it be possible that you could author a post for one of the days he’s doing placeholders? You’ve been bringing the memes lately, so you probably have half a post already.

Valerie Curren

I replied to Wolf that I’m willing to take a day or 2 if he just tells me which ones…

I don’t have any posts “ready” & was really just dropping in a number of items that I found at Whatfinger to sort of supplement what Gail was doing…

cthulhu

Excellent, excellent…..

We have some days, so it shouldn’t be too much of a fire drill.

Valerie Curren

Well I want Wolf to confirm which days I’ll take first, just in case…

cthulhu

My advice would be to write a post first, then make it the next one.

I read from Ecclesiastes for my sister’s wedding. What were the readings from your wedding?

cthulhu

Oh, wait! You’ve married off kids — what were the readings for their weddings?

Valerie Curren

Wow, I don’t recall the readings, if we even had any. We did have the songs “Once in a Lifetime”, Theme from the Man From Snowy River, Pachelbel’s Canon in D, Handel’s Water Music, & Amy Grant’s “Say Once More” in the service though…

We watched part of the rehearsal & much of the wedding w/ our kids in 2022 for our 30th & they were freaked out about how young, pretty, & thin I was & how dark Michael’s hair was–he was prematurely gray & all the kids, now in their 20’s, all have Some grays that they wear like badges of honor. Like Indiana Jones said “It’s not the years, it’s the mileage”.

cthulhu

Hah!

Video of our goddaughter’s delivery got overwritten by a football game. Initially we all thought, “oh, there is some history lost…..” but I have since wondered about exactly when viewing it would have been appropriate…..

Valerie Curren

My dad was in the delivery room w/ the video camera for my first born. He was in the corner over my right shoulder w/ Zero crotch shots, thank you very much! Unfortunately the business end of the delivery bed/table was facing the door & at one time there was a male janitor sweeping the floor in my view. I’m like “Do you mind closing the door!” They say you lose all dignity & awareness but that wasn’t how it worked for me then 😉

Valerie Curren

I recorded over one of the Piston’s championship games w/ Reagan’s funeral & have never heard the end of it! For good reason!!!

I’m sorry I wasn’t more certain, but the last couple of weeks have been blurry.

You had to crack the whip on that Honey Do list while you had the space!

Yeah, she’s already told me that she hates everything. Then the jetlag got her and she’s asleep.

I have a Deranged, Trump Hating Judge, who RAILROADED this FAKE CASE through a NYS Court at a speed never seen before, refusing to let it go to the Commercial Division, where it belongs, denying me everything, No Trial, No Jury. He made up this crazy “KILL TRUMP” decision, assigning insanely low values to properties, despite overwhelming evidence. AS AN EXAMPLE, HE VALUES THE MOST SPECTACULAR PROPERTY IN PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, MAR-A-LAGO, AT $18,000,000, WHEN IT IS WORTH POSSIBLY 100 TIMES THAT AMOUNT. His anger & hatred is politically motivated & unprecedented by those who watched! My actual Net Worth is MUCH GREATER than the number shown on the Financial Statements, a BIG SURPRISE to him & the Racist A.G., Letitia James, who campaigned for office on a get Trump Platform. While murderers roam the sidewalks of New York, my banks are happy, all loans are current, or paid off in full, sometimes early, with no defaults or problems of any kind. There is also an IRONCLAD DISCLAIMER CLAUSE!

Citizen 817

In addition to the fact that my Net Worth is much greater than the number shown in the Financial Statements, there is a POWERFUL Disclaimer Clause (some call it a “non-reliance clause,” others a “buyer beware clause”), BOLDLY STATED on pages 1 & 2, explaining that there should be no reliance placed on these Financial Statements, but instead everyone should do their own independent research, analysis, and due diligence. This was fully accepted & acknowledged by the banks, but it didn’t matter because all loans were good, & there were no defaults or problems of any kind. The banks were represented by highly sophisticated attorneys, were paid full interest, & made money. There were no defaults or any other problems. This is a lawsuit that should never have been brought. It is a POLITICALLY MOTIVATED WITCH HUNT by a Racist Attorney General, and a Deranged, Trump Hating Judge. It is ELECTION INTERFERENCE at a level never seen before. No wonder people and companies are fleeing New York!

Great.
🇺🇸 The US House of Representatives on Wednesday advanced a measure to cut Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s salary to $1, attaching the pay cut as an amendment to the lower chamber’s Defense Department appropriations bill.
House lawmakers agreed to the amendment by voice vote. The measure was brought by US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“Secretary Austin has not fulfilled his job duties. As a matter of fact, he’s destroying our military,” Greene said during remarks in support of the amendment.
Greene pointed toward a decline in military recruitment, the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Pentagon’s approach to the Ukraine conflict as reasons to reduce Austin’s salary.

Biden Bombshell: President’s brother told FBI family tried to help Chinese firm buy US energy assets
https://justthenews.com/accountability/political-ethics/james-biden-confirmed-fbi-family-tried-help-chinese-firm-buy-us
“James Biden told the FBI in an interview last year about efforts by him and Hunter Biden to help the CEFC energy firm in China buy a liquid natural gas facility on Monkey Island off the coast of Louisiana, and that he personally met once with the company’s chairman, Ye Jianming, according to the FBI interview report released by the committee.
“James B noted (Hunter) portrayed CEFC to him as Chairman Ye was a protégé of President Xi,” FBI agents wrote in the report.
Upon the revelations, Georgia Republican Rep. Austin Scott deemed such activities treasonous, expressing that sentiment on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast on Wednesday.
“It just means it’s even worse than even I thought it was that they would go that far. If you look at some of those ports in Louisiana, and I don’t have a map in front of me, but like Port Fourchon, that area of Louisiana, just a tremendous portion of the energy that we use inside the United States come comes through those hubs,” he said.
“And the idea that you would help the Chinese acquire assets in that area to give, you know, an adversary… the ability to control the energy supply inside the United States… I don’t understand how much more of a traitor you could be than to do such a thing,” Scott added.

the “new” illegals are pissing off the “old” illegals because they are willing to work for less $$…precisely WHY the “old” illegals were pissing off CITIZENS!!! what goes around, comes around…
FTA
The complaint of the longer-term illegal aliens is that the newly arriving illegal aliens will work for lower wages than the previously resident illegal aliens. This has forced a reduction in income for the old-timers. The point that neither group should be working at all under U.S. law seems to be irrelevant to both.

For many years, leftists have scoffed at the idea that illegal aliens are lowering the wages paid to American citizens and legal immigrants. We were told how much we benefited from this type of immigration. Anyone who has ever had a course in microeconomics is presented with supply/demand curves in the first week of class. The point is made that if the supply of any good or service increases at a rate greater than demand for the same, then price will decline. The experience of our long-term illegals has validated this reality. The fact that Americans and legal immigrants have suffered from reduced incomes is ignored by most media and progressive politicians.

Where are the other kids who should be defending her, and beating the tar out of the attacker?

When I was in grade school, we played dodge ball on an outdoor basketball court during recess. The younger kids would watch, and retrieve the balls that went out of bounds.

One little kid (Drew) would always throw the ball to me if it went out of bounds and he got to it first, so we were friends.

One of the kids on the other team (Greg) started to get upset that he was getting hit in the face repeatedly with the ball (I may have had something to do with that). When Drew threw one of the out-of-bounds balls to me, Greg snapped and attacked Drew.

That lasted about 1 second, before Greg was getting pummeled by some kid named Scott.

Then Scott had to sit next to Greg in the principal’s office while Greg cried, and we waited for the principal to come in and talk to us about whether the school should stop allowing the kids to play dodge ball during recess, if it was going to lead to fights 🙄

I wasn’t a big kid either. A year or two later, in 7th grade, I was the smallest kid on the football team, weighing in at a whopping 69 pounds during the physical, after a week of two-a-day practices.

Why did this girl’s friends just stand there and watch her get attacked?

If tranny boy is bigger than they are, there are a lot more of them than there are of tranny boy.

You asked for baptism stories…

When my then boyfriend came home w/ me for Christmas I didn’t know that he had already obtained an engagement ring & intended to ask for my parents’ blessing so we could get engaged. My parents had previously determined that their only real issue would be whether or not he had a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ or not. However, when he & my dad got into the discussion my dad got hung up on the fact that Michael’s water baptism had been in a river (or lake) done by his stepfather. For some reason my dad thought being baptized in a baptismal by a minister was the only legitimate way. As such he gave my boyfriend/later-on-husband homework to read the chapter on baptism from their church’s “catechism” book. Fortunately during the night the Lord worked on my dad’s heart & he relented from that latest foray into legalism & gave his blessing.

To up the intimidation factor when the men were having their discussion my dad wore a baseball cap w/ “I’m the Boss” emblazoned on the front. I guess this was better than what my brother encountered when asking for his first wife’s hand–her dad was polishing up his pistol (not a euphemism) for their entire discussion! OK, so when my dad decided that Michael’s salvation w/out re-baptism was sufficient he switched hats from “I’m the Boss” to “I Like Mike”, an ironically convenient hat that had lingered from a local political campaign!

Years later, after I had lead each of our four kids through the sinner’s prayer, we had the opportunity for them to experience water baptism at the church’s annual summer campout. The first Summer Brandon & Clarissa got baptized & the next Summer it was Nathaniel & Josiah. Both times my husband, who was in church leadership at the time, assisted the pastor in the baptism of each of our four kids, in the lake. My parents attended both times & by then seemed fine w/ baptisms in a natural setting, which I honestly thought was more reminiscent of Jesus’ baptism anyway!

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

For DePat, her mother, and the family:

From the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, 1928, The Order for the Visitation of the Sick:

“AN ACT OF PRAYER AND BLESSING.
Anthem: O Saviour of the world, who by Thy Cross and precious Blood hast redeemed us, save us, and help us, we humbly beseech Thee, O Lord.
Levavi oculos. Psalm 121.
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills: from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the LORD: who hath made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: and he that keepeth thee will not sleep.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord himself is thy keeper: the Lord is thy defence upon thy right hand.
6 So that the sun will not burn thee by day: neither the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: yea, it is even he that shall keep thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out, and thy coming in: from this time forth for evermore.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As is was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.”

That’s a strange cartoon.

A clothed black dude, laying on a white girl in her underwear, but the white girl appears to be assuming the masculine position and the black male is in the female or submissive position, while they both watch the movie Gladiator (2000).

I have no idea what message is supposed to be communicated by this 😂

I guess ‘position’ was the wrong word choice, but the female appears bigger and dominant, and the male looks smaller and submissive, that’s what I meant to say.

Lol, I have a GREAT baptism story in my family tree!

The man being baptized, Elnathan Davis, is my 7th great-grandfather. The baptizer is my 7th great-granduncle. The baptizer, Shubael Stearns, is essentially responsible for the development of the Baptist church of the South. Here’s the tale:

“[Elnathan Davis’s] conversion came to pass in this manner He had heard that on John Steward was to be baptized, such a day, by Mr. Stearns; now this Steward, being a very big man, and Shubal Stearns of small stature, he concluded there would be some diversion if not drowning; therefore he gathered about 8 or 10 of his companions in wickedness and went to the spot. Shubal Stearns came and began to preach; Elnathan went to hear him while his companions stood at a distance. He was no sooner among the crowd but he perceived some of the people tremble as if in a fit of the ague: he felt and examined them in order to find it it was not a dissimulation: meanwhile one man, leaned on his shoulder, weeping bitterly; Elnathan, perceiving he had wet his white new coat, pushed him off and ran to his companions who were sitting on a log, at a distance; when he came one said, “Well, Elnathan, what do you think now of these damned people?” He replied “There is a trembling and crying spirit among them: but whether it be the spirit of God or the devil I don’t know; it if be the devil, the devil go with them; for I will never more venture my self among them.” He stood a while in that resolution; but the enchantment of Stearns’s voice drew him to the crowd once more. He had not been long there before the trembling seized him also; he attempted to withdraw; but his strength failing and his understanding confounded he, with many other, sunk to the ground. When he came to himself he found nothing in him but dread and anxiety, bordering on horror. He continued in this situation some days, and then found relief by faith in Christ. Immediately he began to preach conversion work, raw as he was, and scanty as his knowledge must have been.”

MATERIALS TOWARDS A HISTORY OF THE BAPTISTS IN THE PROVINCE OF NORTH CAROLINA, v. 4. By Morgan Edwards, p. 27

Elnathan Davis went on to become a well-known and respected converter, preacher, and baptizer himself.

whoa…an alphabet family sets up a fundraiser to fund their move from scary Montana (where they say anti gay/trans policies are getting worse) and they want to move to…wait for it…Minnesota????
doesn’t Minnesota have large populations of muslims?

FTA
This prompted the Montana residents to rethink where they called home. Setting up a fundraiser to help pay for the move to Minnesota, a more LGBTQ+ friendly state.
The fundraiser reads: “Our little family is making a big change very soon! Sometime between October and February, the four of us (Avi, Ember, Emalee, Ray) and our three cats (Elliot, Dandi, Daisy) will be moving to Minnesota! This move isn’t just for fun though. Montana is getting dangerous for LGBTQ+ people, and it’s getting scary to live here. And with legislation pushing for anti-LGBTQ+ bills to be passed (and successfully passing some of them), we can’t stay here much longer.”

what’s going on in AZ?

entire article

Something weird is happening in Arizona. Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs assigned Republican State Treasurer Kimberly Yee as acting Governor from Wednesday night until mid-morning Thursday. No reason was announced and thus far there has been no credible speculation about what’s going on.

According to a press release from Yee’s office:
“I have been notified that I will be serving as Acting Governor beginning later this evening until mid-morning tomorrow. While I am pleased to step into this role, I will refrain from naming directors to the 13 agencies that currently have vacancies and will not call the Arizona Legislature into session to confirm them. That being said, I do hope when the Governor returns to Arizona, she will promptly name qualified directors to these important state agencies. I expect to see a swift resolution to this matter, so we can get back to getting the work done for Arizona taxpayers. The people of Arizona deserve leaders who follow the rule of law.”

🚨 BREAKING: Republican State Treasurer Kimberly Yee has announced she is currently the Acting Governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs is no longer the Governor as of now for unknown reasons, but she is expected to return tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/Gyw9cJHlzb

   — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) September 28, 2023

Well, that’s odd. The release states that Hobbs is out of the state. The state is one of the few that does not have a Lt. Governor. When the Governor vacates, the line of succession goes Secretary of State, Attorney General, and THEN the State Treasurer. Secretary of State Adrian Fontes Attorney General Kris Mayes are both Democrats. Why did they get skipped? Are they leaving the state as well?

The Governor and the state legislature are currently engaged in a heated battle over state directors. On Monday, Hobbs withdrew her nominations after failing to get them confirmed. She named them as deputy directors instead, but Yee has refused to accept them because in her eyes the move by Hobbs is illegal.

Is all of this somehow tied together? Why would Hobbs bypass two higher ranking members of her own party to put Yee in charge for a few hours? Why did Yee note that she will not be naming nominees even though she has the power to do so temporarily?

Well what could it be?

What could possibly compel the top members of AZ gov’t to evacuate upon the arrival of Chief Pedo?

The only thing that occurs to me is a judge’s order.

The only reason I can come up with that a judge would make such an order is if the top members of the AZ gov’t are under indictment for something involving Chief Pedo, and are forbidden to have contact with Chief Pedo or to be within some arbitrary range (e.g., 500 miles) of Chief Pedo.

In such a scenario, if Chief Pedo comes to town, they have no choice but to leave town.

I’m sure that’s not it, but it is the only thing I can come up with, that is remotely plausible.

AMERICA’S RUSSIA JENGA STRATEGY IS BACKFIRING
27 September 2023 by Larry Johnson 79 Comments

While driving down the road today listening to Alexander Mercouris I suddenly realized that the United States and NATO have been pursuing a JENGA strategy against Russia. A lot of leaders in the NATO club are invested heavily in the belief that if enough pressure is applied to Russia then the country, the economy, the military and society will collapse like a JENGA tower. Only one little problem — that strategy has failed; the opposite happened.

Refuse to use a digital ID.

They can’t force anyone to use a digital ID, they can only provide incentives and imply disincentives (i.e., benefits and privileges).

Any process or activity which has been established in Common Law before a digital ID system was created is still lawful to do after a digital ID system is created, so that door must remain open, a means must be provided to do what was lawful before the digital ID system was created.

Also, I’m not sure how a digital ID could work without a personal tracking device, and they can’t force anyone to own or use a personal tracking device.

Unless they are implementing the Mark of the Beast system.

And even then, the thing about Common Law still applies.

We have Rights.

Our Rights are God-given and guaranteed by the Constitution (which itself is based on Common Law).

Our Rights cannot be taken away by gov’t because they were never granted by gov’t.

Likewise, gov’t cannot enact rules or law or legislation that violates our Rights, because to do so is to violate the Constitution itself.

I always wondered what they were laughing at. His name was Juan Joya Borja, also known as El Risitas (The Giggles).

In 2001, Joya appeared on Jesús Quintero’s show Ratones Coloraos and described an incident when he worked as a kitchen porter. He describes leaving some paella pans (paelleras) at night in the ocean to soak and clean, and when in the morning he returned to retrieve the pans, they had washed out to sea with the tide. He frequently interrupts the story with his trademark laugh.[2] The original video was uploaded to YouTube on 25 June 2007, and received over a million views eight years before the meme became widespread.[7]

BATTERY BLAST Huge explosion ‘fuelled by EV batteries’ rips through airport killing boy, 15, & injuring 163 in blast felt for 20 miles

A BOY of 15 has been killed in a giant explosion feared to have been triggered by detonating electric car batteries.

At least 163 were also injured following the huge blast in a customs warehouse near Tashkent Airport in Uzbekistan in the early hours, which was felt up to 20 miles away…

Batteries for electric cars exploded at the airport warehouse, it is understood.

TheseTruths

I’m a motors expert… here’s why electric vehicles are a disaster – they cause deadly fires & are impossible to run

Scotty [Kilmer], who has 55 years of experience as a mechanic, told viewers that a recent heatwave in Texas has unveiled a major issue with EV charging…

“All the congested transmission lines…cause all this renewable wind power to go to waste.

“There’s not enough quality wire that can hold it…they don’t have a storage system for it.”

This, he claimed, resulted in Texas having to shut down many of its wind turbines as the energy couldn’t be loaded into the grid or stored.

He warned that the issues in the electrical infrastructure would present a major issue for EV charging in the event of blackouts or brownouts.

A brownout is when the capacity of a local area is reduced to stop the grid from becoming overloaded…

Yesterday, a £200,000 Porsche was filmed bursting into flames on a busy Chinese street during rush hour.

And last month 2700 cars were melted when a cargo ship caught light, with the cause suspected to be a fault EV battery.

Fire and rescue experts say that electrical fires are harder to put out than regular car fires due to the materials involved.

In many cases, water cannot be used as lithium, a major component of EV batteries, reacts explosively with it.

Indeed, two major manufacturers recalled several electric models over a fire risk caused by poor sealant allowing fluid into the battery housing.

Cuppa Covfefe

Not a problem for Tesla in 3…2…1… 🙂

scott467

Telsa help desk, at your service 👍😂

I can’t help it, I already know the answers to most of the ‘issues’ that are regularly raised, because I get daily updates from several youtubers who live and breathe this stuff.

You might be amazed, there are dozens (probably hundreds, maybe thousands) of youtube channels dedicated specifically to all things Tesla. It’s a whole subset of the larger information war.

The primary guy I watch covers crypto and equities. I originally found him for info on crypto, but he covers a lot more than just crypto every day. Tesla is his biggest stock holding, so he focuses on it like a laser. He has no loyalty to any company or crypto, he will dump any portfolio holding in a heartbeat if there is good reason to do so, he is purely motivated by alpha and profit, unlike many of the seemingly ‘cult’ followers.

Very much like Bitcoin (and crypto generally), EVs (and Tesla specifically) are targeted by all sorts of opposing interests, 24/7/365.

So the FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) propaganda is constantly being manufactured and promoted by opposing interests.

So the guy whose videos I watch every day addresses these FUD issues constantly, because it never ends.

So I see it, so I am aware of it, so when I see the same information here, I am often already aware of it, and already know the answers to it.

So what am I supposed to do?

If I am aware of things which are directly relevant, shouldn’t I share them?

Critically evaluating info that is brought here is what we do.

Why should this be different than any other subject or topic?

Cuppa Covfefe

Self-immolation via anaerobic combustion is not regulated by profits, preferences, or popularity.

It’s regulated by physics and chemistry.

And ye cannae change the laws of physics.

scott467

True, but practically everything has some level of danger.

People die every day in gas powered car fires too, but they don’t get national press coverage.

Cuppa Covfefe

Brownouts are already planned here, where Electric Car charging devices, whether they are home devices or ones at gas stations or other places will be remotely turned off or turned town (see what “smart meters” do for you…) and heat pumps (which use a TON of electricity to save a few teaspoons of fuel/gas/wood/coal/whatever) also are throttled or turned off entirely (also by “smart meters”.)

Penny wise and pound foolish (fuelish?)…

TheseTruths

People will be stranded…

scott467

It cracks me up reading these things sometimes.

It’s exactly like fake news, except for EVs instead of politics.

Tesla just recently became the largest energy storage manufacturer in the world:

https://www.tesla.com/megapack

.

“All the congested transmission lines…cause all this renewable wind power to go to waste.

____________

Then don’t use wind power. Wind power has seemed stupid from the get-go.

.

“There’s not enough quality wire that can hold it…they don’t have a storage system for it.”

____________

Then build better wire, or just wait for Tesla to do it, because they’ll make it work, unlike the experts in self sabotage.

Tesla has a storage system for it.

.

“He warned that the issues in the electrical infrastructure would present a major issue for EV charging in the event of blackouts or brownouts.”

____________

Just watched a video the other day showing that there is already, currently, enough electrical capacity for EVs in the U.S. electrical grid, and the large majority of EV owners charge their cars at home, at NIGHT when electrical power demand is least.
.
.

“Yesterday, a £200,000 Porsche was filmed bursting into flames on a busy Chinese street during rush hour.”

___________

Look, squirrel!

So what? There was a problem, Porsche will examine the problem and implement a solution. That’s the process. No new technology springs forth fully formed and perfected.

.

“And last month 2700 cars were melted when a cargo ship caught light, with the cause suspected to be a fault EV battery.”

___________

Who made the cars?

Who made the batteries?

What is the shipping company, what is their safety record, what is the captain’s safety record, what are the circumstances behind this specific fire, and who is at fault?

.

“Fire and rescue experts say that electrical fires are harder to put out than regular car fires due to the materials involved. In many cases, water cannot be used as lithium, a major component of EV batteries, reacts explosively with it.”

___________

No doubt that is a problem, and no doubt, highly motivated and financially incentivized engineers are working to solve it.

.

“Indeed, two major manufacturers recalled several electric models over a fire risk caused by poor sealant allowing fluid into the battery housing.”

__________

Who are those two major manufacturers?

From the linked article: “Porsche and Audi, which are both owned by the VW Group, warned customers that some of their models have a serious issue which could put them in danger.”

VW is apparently having all kinds of serious problems, due primarily to corporate culture and red tape and bureaucracy.

Porsche is more autonomous and has fewer problems in that regard, but they are also a very high end manufacturer with comparatively low production numbers.

TheseTruths

You list the problems and say “no doubt someone will find a solution.” Possibly. In the meantime, the reality is that there are problems NOW. People are being highly inconvenienced, injured, and killed. IMO people need to be fully informed and know what they’re signing up for. Even the Biden admin’s secretary of energy had problems trying to travel in an EV. That could change, but it’s the current reality.

Cuppa Covfefe

Hopium is a very rare and expensive element, rarer than any of the rare earths… almost as rare as unobtanium…

Reminds me of the late 1950s and early 1960s with all the science shows, etc., “Tom Corbett, Space Cadet” and the like. And everyone thought that SCIENCE, the new and improved, better, “GOD”, would come in and save the day.

Scientism, the very thing that Isaac Asimov (and others) preached. And then L. Ron Flubbard got in the act and turned it into a fake religion for profit (or was that prophet)…

mollypitcher5

 😂 unobtanium !!!!!

scott467

“You list the problems and say “no doubt someone will find a solution. Possibly.”

________

That is not what I said, I said “No doubt that is a problem, and no doubt, highly motivated and financially incentivized engineers are working to solve it.”

And I said that in response to one problem, the danger of fire with lithium batteries.

There are other battery types in development, it looks like the most promising type is based on sodium, which is anything but rare (material), and should not be subject to these same fire problems.

Previously, when the primary use for these batteries was laptop PCs and cell phones, the need for so much battery power was not necessary.

Now it is necessary, so it will justify the engineering and development expense to find a solution.

Necessity (not to mention profit motive) is the mother of invention.

.

“In the meantime, the reality is that there are problems NOW.”

_________

There always are. There are problems with nearly everything. People die from all sorts of things every day, including fires in gas-powered cars, but they don’t make national news, because no one stands to gain anything by promoting it.

When the entire MSM focuses on an EV fire, the impression it leaves is that every EV is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.

No doubt some EVs are better engineered than others.

They’re not all the same.

.

“People are being highly inconvenienced, injured, and killed.”

___________

And there is an established system of redress, of remedy, which is no doubt pursued by victims and/or victim’s families, and unlike the pharmaceutical industry, EV makers don’t have immunity.

So they will fix the problems, or be sued out of business.

If only the same was true for Big Pharma.

.

“IMO people need to be fully informed and know what they’re signing up for.”

____________

Indeed.

Where do they go for that information?

It would be very helpful, certainly to Tesla, if there was a national public database which showed exactly which manufacturers and car models (both EVs and ICE) were having the most fatal incidents as a percentage of cars on the road.

Teslas are incredibly safe from a structural standpoint. Do you remember the incident from maybe a year ago, where the family of four went over a cliff in California (apparently the husband was trying to kill himself and his family) in their Tesla?

If I remember right, it was about a 250 foot drop onto rocks.

The emergency responders are familiar with the area and similar accidents in that area, and expected no survivors.

All four people survived.

You won’t have that with a GM car, or a Ford, or a Dodge, or any other legacy auto maker.

Do you know why?

Because legacy auto makers manufacture their cars to meet federal regulation requirements, and not a penny more.

Tesla uses real world data, collected continuously by every Tesla on the road, so they have crash data from every Tesla that has ever crashed.

They design their cars to withstand real world crash scenarios, which far exceed the minimum requirements of test facilities and federal regulations.

Does Tesla get any credit for that?

Were you even aware of it?

Is anyone calling for the legacy automakers to match Tesla’s crash safety standards?

.

“Even the Biden admin’s secretary of energy had problems trying to travel in an EV. That could change, but it’s the current reality.”

________________

Of course she did, because she and her staff had no idea what they were doing.

They apparently took 3 random EVs, none of which were Teslas.

Predictably they then had difficulty recharging the cars on the road, because NO ONE (besides Tesla) has perfected charging stations and NO ONE (besides Telsa) already has an extensive network of charging stations across the USA and much of Europe.

Going by memory, the charging station the Energy Secretary’s entourage went to had two out of four chargers not functioning. This is common among non-Tesla charging stations.

Tesla charging stations have industry leading 99% uptime.

Their charging stations are strategically located to make nationwide travel possible within the mileage limits of their batteries. The onboard computer system verifies the nearest charging station, knows whether chargers are all functioning, knows whether chargers are available and if they are all being used, you will be automatically routed to the next nearest Tesla charging station that is reachable within the limits of the remaining charge in your vehicle.

This is why most of the legacy auto makers have abandoned making their own charging stations, and have signed contracts with Tesla (which is now the international charging standard) to equip their vehicles to make them compatible with Tesla chargers.

I think 9 of the major automakers have signed with Tesla to use their chargers, and there are only a couple hold outs, who will be signing agreements with Tesla soon, if they want to remain relevant.

They’re not idiots at Tesla. They are not trapped in a 100+ year auto manufacturer culture. They don’t have infinite layers of red tape and bureaucracy. They have thought these things out, starting from scratch, and built accordingly.

So while all Teslas are EVs, not all EVs are Teslas.

Tesla is different.

Both from the legacy auto manufacturers, and from the smaller start-ups.

What Telsa has already accomplished is incredible, purely from a technology standpoint, whether it’s EVs, the way cars are put together (reinventing the assembly line), or robots, or energy storage systems, or building their own computer chips (better than Nvidia!) for their own AI Supercomputer (called Dojo, which will be the 3rd most powerful computer on the planet by next year), or vertically integrating all of their product lines so they are not dependent on outside suppliers, once you dive in and get past the MSM propaganda attacks, and find out what they’re actually doing, it’s truly amazing.

And most people literally can’t see it, they are BLINDED to it, for the same reasons as people are blinded to the danger of vaxx, or the idiocy of masks, or the treachery of democrats, or the nature of he Uniparty, or the treason of Hussein, or on the positive side, the benefits of Bitcoin, and on and on and on.

It’s the same thing, it’s the same process, it’s the same mass-psychology, it’s the same information war.

Just like with Q, until or unless we personally dig into the details and look for ourselves, we’re going to be just like the normies, casting aspersions and mocking that which we do not know, or don’t understand.

.

“That could change, but it’s the current reality.”

____________

It has already changed.

If I remember correctly, the 3 cars were a Cadillac (GM), an SUV (GM, I think), and a Chevy Volt (GM). So all three EVs were GM.

GM has signed with Tesla to equip their EVs with chargers that are compatible with Tesla charging stations.

They should have adapters in 2024 to use with Tesla charging stations (if I remember that correctly), and in 2025 the legacy auto makers who signed with Tesla will have native Tesla charging station capability built into the cars.

And Telsa has nearly 17,000 superchargers, and nearly 150,000 of the Level 2 and Level 3 chargers, and that’s just in the U.S.

…………………….
Here’s how many EV chargers the US has – and how many it needs
Jan 9 2023

S&P Global Mobility estimates that there are presently around 16,822 Tesla Superchargers and Tesla destination chargers in the United States, along with 126,500 Level 2 and 20,431 Level 3 charging ports.

The number of charging ports increased more in 2022 than in the preceding three years combined, with about 54,000 Level 2 and 10,000 Level 3 chargers added during 2022.
…………………….

So the ‘problem’ experienced by the Energy Secretary has already been solved, she and her entourage were just ignorant (or they were provided free cars by GM), and chose vehicles that were not compatible (yet!) with Tesla charging stations.

That they experienced trouble using charging stations made by someone besides Tesla is not surprising, that is par for the course.

I can play this game all day long, it’s not even hard, because I already know the answers, I have already seen the arguments made and debunked multiple times.

And since I know the answers, I know how to find the sauce too, if needed 👍😁

Sodium is quite common of course, as you say.

But it is MORE reactive with respect to water, than is lithium. In big enough chunks it can explode when it hits water.

Cuppa Covfefe

Not forgetting Potassium, Rubidium, and Cesium, even more reactive (I calls ’em as I Cesium, or Cesium and desist 🙂 )….

(though why anyone would want or even attempt to make a battery out of them is questionable…)….

Watch out for that salt substitute 😀 (OK, OK, it’s a compound… but for people taking certain meds (potassium-saving diuretics, for one) it can be a real problem)…

TheseTruths

It’s exactly like fake news, except for EVs instead of politics.

I disagree. Facts are not fake news.
• A boy was killed.
• A Porsche blew up.
• 163 people were injured when a warehouse burst into flames.
• The secretary of energy had trouble getting her EV charged while on a road trip to promote EVs.
• Another Democrat who was trying to make it to a rally across the country couldn’t find charging stations, the app that was supposed to help locate them was inaccurate, when she found one it didn’t work, and she missed the rally.
• A parking garage collapsed under the weight of the EVs.

There are countless other stories of problems. They might get solved. If so, great. But currently, they ARE problems, not fake.

scott467

“I disagree.”

________

I knew you would! 😁

.

” Facts are not fake news.
• A boy was killed.”

__________

Has a boy been killed in any internal combustion engine cars before?

If a boy has been killed (and I’m not saying one has or not), should legacy auto makers stop making cars?

.

” • A Porsche blew up.”

____________

Has any internal combustion engine car ever blown up before?

If any ICE car has ever blown up before (and I’m not saying one has or not), should legacy auto makers stop making cars?

.

” • 163 people were injured when a warehouse burst into flames.”

_____________

Have people been injured in any other warehouse fires before?

If they have (and I’m not saying they have or not, but I remember a very dramatic made for TV movie about a fire in a garment factory warehouse), should the industry related to that fire stop making whatever product they make?

.

” • The secretary of energy had trouble getting her EV charged while on a road trip to promote EVs.”

_____________

Yes, because only Tesla has an extensive network of charging stations already in place, and only Tesla charging stations have an industry leading 99% uptime, and…

The Energy Secretary and her entourage were not driving Teslas, or cars equipped with adapters that can be used with Tesla charging stations.

It’s not Tesla’s fault that the Energy Secretary chose an inferior product with lousy charging station access and performance!

.

” • Another Democrat who was trying to make it to a rally across the country couldn’t find charging stations, the app that was supposed to help locate them was inaccurate, when she found one it didn’t work, and she missed the rally.”

_____________

Was that Democrat driving a Tesla?

Or should all EVs be condemned based on the lousy quality of one example?

.

” • A parking garage collapsed under the weight of the EVs.”

____________

Has a parking garage ever collapsed under the weight of internal combustion engine cars before?

If it has ever happened before (and I’m not saying it has or not), should legacy auto makers stop making cars?

.

“There are countless other stories of problems.”

______________

No doubt there are.

Are there not exponentially more such problems related to ICE cars?

It stands to reason doesn’t it, since they’ve been making ICE cars for at least 120 years, and Tesla has only been around since it was founded in 2003?

.

“They might get solved. If so, great. But currently, they ARE problems, not fake.”

_____________

I meant the way MSM reports on EVs, mass negative propaganda (usually targeting Tesla, which I think is because Tesla doesn’t advertise so the MSM has no reason to protect or promote Tesla, because they don’t grift off of Tesla like they do the legacy car makers, or Big Pharma, etc.) is similar to fake news on any other topic.

There are problems, and there will always be problems.

Which of the problems raised are sufficient to warrant the ceasing of production?

Will that same standard be applied to legacy auto makers, or is it a special standard reserved for EVs only?

Mary Kay Henry, president of the Service Employees International Union International, said the law capped 10 years of work — including 450 strikes across the state in the past two years.

TheseTruths

Restaurants will go out of business. I think this will affect other sectors too, that see their work as more important and as handling more responsibility than fast food workers. They will want more money, and that will put people who need help with things like housecleaning and caregiving in a bind.

scott467

Tesla’s Optimus robot is on the way, should start shipping by next year. It can work 18 hour shifts, if I remember correctly. It will displace millions of jobs, hundreds of millions of jobs worldwide.

Even with multiple new Gigafactories, they won’t be able to build them fast enough. It will far surpass car production and profits.

.

.

The current expectation is that they will lease the robots, because they are too valuable to sell, i.e., the productivity gain is so high that it makes more sense to lease it.

A human employee making $20/hr x 40 hours per week x 52 weeks = $41,600 or $3,467 per month.

Optimus can work 18 hours x 7 days a week = 126 hours per week, or more than 3 times what a human does, and is especially valuable for tasks which would be mind-numbingly boring and repetitive for humans. It would cost an employer $131,000 a year to pay 3 employees at $20 per hour.

So if Tesla sold outright instead of leased, and charged $131,000 for the robot, the purchasing business breaks even after the first year, and after that, the labor is FREE.

Why would Tesla do that, when they could choose to only lease the robots, and make perpetual income instead?

The Optimus robot uses the same new AI operating system as the FSD (Full Self Driving) for the cars.

Almost no lines of computer code anymore, beyond initial boot-up, if I understand correctly. The AI trains visually on video of the desired action now, no coding for specific actions, no more “If A happens, then do B, unless C” etc.

It is fed videos and it mimics.

You want it to cook hamburgers and fries, bag them, and hand them to a customer at the drive thru window?

Show it videos of every step in the process, including interruptions, prioritizing actions (don’t let the meat or fries overcook), etc.

This is another reason why Tesla has such a huge lead in Full Self Driving. Tesla has had several million cars on the road for years now, and more every day. They collect all of that road data, from all around the world, and feed it into their supercomputer which trains the AI.

TheseTruths

Fascinating. I also find it interesting that the robot’s appearance and the way it functions are human-like. The designers didn’t come up with a better or more efficient way for a machine to complete tasks.

barkerjim

It’s hard to simulate human actions without simulating the form.

TheseTruths

Our Creator knew what He was doing.

piper567

It’s hard to improve on God’s design. We are made to be able to accomplish what we can imagine. Mimicry is just logical.

scott467

I have seen discussions about that, i.e., that Tesla will likely at some point produce four legged robots, and other robots that are task specific.

The example used was roofing. Replacing roofs on houses is somewhat dangerous, and two feet is not nearly as stable as four feet.

I would guess that Tesla’s first robot (Optimus) was human-like for all the obvious reasons.

We are what we know best, so it is natural to emulate or reproduce a facsimile of ourselves in our own image (there’s some loaded expression for ya! 😁)

Being the first, anyone who dreamed big enough to actually make it happen in the first place would likely also want the first example to be human-like.

Tesla has automated much of the assembly line process already, with what are essentially large stationary robots. These massive stationary robots make for a very hazardous work space, because if a 10,000 pound machine accidentally bumps you while it’s moving heavy machinery around, you’re probably going to be seriously injured or killed.

The next step in automation is to do what massive stationary robots can’t do.

There are extraordinary advantages in having a human hand with opposable thumb. Nature already perfected it, and Elon is not the type of person who has a degree in fixing stuff that ain’t broke.

Likewise there are many advantages to having two feet. Four is better for stability, but that requires a different sort of torso (and orientation), which creates other problems.

Two feet works best for the majority of things humans do.

It makes sense if you are building a robot for the masses, that it would mimic humans as much as possible.

And then there’s the fantasy aspect.

Robots are the stuff of science fiction dreams for at least a couple hundred years. If you are going to make one, the first one sorta has to be like you have always envisioned it.

Same thing with rocket ships, space stations, etc.

Look at 2001: A Space Odyssey. There are all kinds of predictions of future devices in that movie that were pretty much on target. Or ‘communicators’ in Star Trek, which were almost perfectly reproduced as flip-phones 😉

First we imagine, then we build, and we solve problems along the way to the destination.

It’s a guy thing 😁

And they and all the starry-eyed scientism followers will bow down to their god Elon…

scott467

The cult followers might, and there are some of those, though nearly everyone I watch (youtube analysis), while recognizing Elon’s admittedly amazing accomplishments, are hyper-focused on the profit generating potential, not on Elon or cult of personality.

It’s like discovering the Ford Motor Company in 1903.

Except Tesla isn’t just making cars, they have at least 8 or 9 businesses (not counting Star Link or Space X, just within Tesla itself), and several of those businesses will soon far exceed car production and revenue.

If they even accomplish a third of what they expect to do, Tesla will be the biggest company (by market cap and revenue) in the world.

Not in 10 years, or 15 years.

In two years, maybe three at most.

The stock is at $246/share today.

Multiple analysts have predicted it will be worth $8,000 per share by 2030.

That’s over 30x, in six years.

It should be recession resistant (if not recession proof) because its products are in demand worldwide (not just cars but energy storage systems), and it’s products (like robots) create productivity gains that make economic sense in any economic environment.

Elon is not my guru, and I don’t expect to ever own an EV.

Just going by the numbers, and what has already been accomplished, I’m not aware of any other company that is more undervalued (by stock price) or has more profit potential in the world.

While the FANG+ stocks are already mature, Tesla is just hitting the exponential growth stage of the ‘S’ curve.

Not that I can convince anyone of anything, and I completely understand the mental block many people have toward Tesla, because I had it myself.

I had the same mental block toward Bitcoin, for years.

Oliver Anthony will be here at the local (minor league) Smokies baseball stadium for a show tonight. They expect over 9500 including field seating. The tickets sold out in 90 minutes. Oliver only let them charge $25 a ticket. They started lining up to get in at 2 PM today.

The guy is the real deal. Cotton Eyed Joes club in Knoxville planned the original show for yesterday. They wanted $99 per ticket with $200 VIP tickets. They planned to pay Oliver Anthony $120,000 for the 60 minute show. He found out about the ticket price a week ago and told everybody not to come – that he would never allow a charge of more than $40 and he wanted the price at $25 whenever possible.

Cotton Eyed Joe canceled their show on 9/20 and organizers moved it to the stadium and set it all up in 8 days. They even had to secure three outside parking lots and shuttles.

Oliver kept his word.

The lessee of the stadium is Randy Boyd, who owns the baseball team. I have discussed him some in BIMD. Came in second to Bill Lee for Governor in the first term. Current University of Tennessee system President and wealthy businessman that is a man of the people who can also relate to the elites. He has done great things for the area. Since the Smokies season ended yesterday, he made the stadium available on short notice.

Just look at the growth of the AfD party (Alternativ für Deutschland), our MAGA (MGGA?) folks. They are being attacked hook and claw much like VSGPDJT is in the USA, yet they are growing, and people are getting ever more fed up. In regional elections the AfD candidates are winning. Indeed, if the CDU would actually live up to their “C” (supposedly Christian Democratic Union, where the “D” isn’t what it is in the US), they could ally with the AfD and have a majority.

But the head of the CDU, the globalist and former BlackRock executive Friedrich Merz, refused to cooperate with the AfD. Or, rather, he’s been told NOT to cooperate… Puppets gotta puppet…..

So the AfD will continue to grow, and the CDU may well end up eliminating themselves from the political scene entirely.

The beginning of the end of the American Revolution:

https://www.revolutionary-war-and-beyond.com/siege-of-yorktown-begins.html

On September 28, 1781, the Siege of Yorktown began when George Washington led the American and French armies out of Williamsburg to attack British General Lord Charles Cornwallis.

In the summer of 1781, George Washington and his Continental Army in New York were faced with an important decision. Should they attack the British headquarters in New York City, or should they attack the army of Cornwallis in Virginia? 5,500 French soldiers had arrived in Rhode Island the year before and united with Washington’s army. French General the Comte de Rochambeau recommended an attack on Virginia…

De Grasse would arrive in Virginia from the West Indies with a fleet of French naval ships and more soldiers toward the end of August. Washington immediately decided to march south and join him. 7,000 French and American soldiers began the march from New York on August 19. Washington arrived in Williamsburg, Virginia, only 13 miles from Yorktown on September 14…

As Washington marched out of Williamsburg on September 28, he led 7,800 French soldiers, 8,000 American Continental soldiers and 3,100 militiamen, for a total of almost 19,000 men. General Cornwallis had 9,000 soldiers within the defense works around Yorktown. Nearly a third of all the participants were German conscripts or Americans of German descent.

Over the next two weeks, the Americans waged an ever tightening ring of fire around Yorktown, moving closer and closer and confining the British more tightly. A continuous barrage of American fire power rained down on the city for weeks. Cornwallis held out hope that another fleet with reinforcements would arrive from New York, but when word arrived that a fleet would not depart from New York until October 12, Cornwallis knew he would not last that long.

On October 16, Cornwallis met with his officers and the decision was made to surrender. The following morning, a soldier with a white flag approached the Americans and the surrender negotiations began. On October 19, the official surrender took place. Lord Cornwallis refused to attend the surrender ceremony, sending his second, Brigadier General Charles O’Hara in his place.

O’Hara at first attempted to surrender Cornwallis’ ceremonial sword to General Rochambeau who refused it and directed him to give it to Washington. Since Cornwallis had sent his second, Washington also refused to take it and directed O’Hara to give it to his own second, General Benjamin Lincoln.

The Siege of Yorktown was the last major land battle of the Revolution in the colonies, although skirmishes and smaller engagements continued for some time. The surrender at Yorktown took away Parliament’s desire to continue the war and peace negotiations began early in 1782, with the final Peace Treaty of Paris signed to end the war on September 3, 1783.

Jonathan Turley: Monetary Benefits to Biden Family Implicate Joe Biden in Wrongdoing

Monetary benefits to Biden family members are benefits to President Joe Biden and therefore implicate him in wrongdoing, legal scholar Jonathan Turley said during Thursday’s impeachment inquiry hearing.

“Can a benefit to your family be a benefit to you?” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked Turley regarding Joe Biden and his family’s alleged influence peddling.

“It is,” Turley replied.

Turley said Democrats claim that it must be proven that Joe Biden accepted direct money in order for him to be implicated in Biden family wrongdoing. The legal scholar called that claim “fallacious.”

“There’s been a repeated [Democrat] statements that you need to show that President Biden accepted direct money in order for this to constitute a benefit even under criminal cases that deal with bribery, extortion, the Hobbs Act,” Turley prefaced. “The courts actually have rejected that. They’ve said that money going to family members is, in fact, a benefit.”

“I don’t really see any legal basis for that,” he said, referring to the Democrats’ claim. “Obviously, the strongest case is if you have a direct payment, but this idea that you can have millions going to a politician’s family. And that’s not a benefit. I think it’s pretty fallacious.”

Turley later added to his opinion in response to Rep. Gary Palmer’s (R-AL) pointed question about Joe Biden potentially using his former office of the vice presidency to benefit his family. “In your view, could the promise of foreign access to any official government official, whether it’s the vice president or anybody else — that only materially benefited a family member — could that be influence peddling?” Palmer asked.

Turley replied:

“Yes, and as I point out in the testimony, courts have found that various benefits to family members can be attributed as a benefit to the principle. That has included everything from throwing a golf contest in the favor of a son of a politician to paying for gifts. In fact, I was lead counsel in the last…impeachment trial for a judge, and that was the trial in the U.S. Senate. My client, Judge [Thomas] Porteous, was accused, among other things, of benefits going to his family. And so there’s there’s certainly precedent, not only in criminal cases, but in impeachment cases for making that next [claim].

“In fact, it’s [influence peddling] perhaps the most quintessential violation of the public trust because you’re not acting in the public’s interest. It’s a form of public corruption that this government, this country, has declared as corrupt in other countries around the world.”

The House Oversight Committee unveiled several tranches of Biden business bank records. Those showed the Biden business received at least $20 million from business schemes in Romania, China, Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.

In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren:

• Hunter Biden

• James Biden, Joe Biden’s Brother

• Sara Jones Biden, Joe Biden’s Brother’s Wife

• Hallie Biden, Beau Biden’s Widow and Hunter Biden’s Ex-Lover

• Kathleen Buhle, Hunter Biden’s Ex-Wife

• Melissa Cohen, Hunter Biden’s Current Wife

• Two Children of Joe Biden’s Son [Names Unknown]

• Joe Biden’s Brother’s Child [Names Unknown]

Republican lawmakers recently predicted their investigation into the Biden family could prove the Biden business raked in more than $50 million, about $30 million more than bank records show thus far.

“Based on the evidence I’ve seen so far, I think the number is going to be north of $50 million that we’re talking about here,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) told Fox News in July.

Speaking with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) supported Mace’s $50 million prediction. “Do you believe that number is realistic and right?” Hannity asked.

“I do think it’s realistic,” Comer replied.

“Since changing the EU budget requires unanimous support, a non-EU country will not receive a penny from the EU budget until an EU member country gets what it is legally entitled to,” said Gergely, head of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office. Guillas.

He also stressed that Budapest does not intend to interfere with other EU member states in providing support to Kiev and even provides humanitarian assistance itself.

US Deputy Secretary of Defense Michael McCord on the slowdown in arms supplies to Ukraine: All we have left is $1.6 billion, this is the only amount that can be used. I don’t know when or if we will receive additional funds. I would like to fill this hole and send constant signals of demand for funding and contracts to industry to continue in the same vein. We’ve already had to slow down because there’s a real prospect of a shutdown. A little prudence is needed here if we do not want to end up broke.

…”A little prudence is needed here if we do not want to end up broke.”

Who is this “we” you speak of?

pgroup2

Uh, we’ve been broke for most of my adult life. And I ain’t no spring chicken.

Robert Baker

I had to pass this on. I am sure most of you may already know this but it was new to me. I was entering my grocery expenses into my bookkeeping software and I noticed at the bottom of the paper register receipt the following: FREE flu shots. Get 10% off groceries with every immunization.

I am sure that this is some government program. While I can appreciate how some families, struggling to feed themselves, would be tempted to get the shots it strikes me as government coercion. This government is nasty.

TheseTruths

it strikes me as government coercion

Yes! I had not seen that before.

Robert Baker

The evidence suggests to me that I would be correct more often if I chose the pessimistic view of what our government is capable.of doing.

These days, I assume Every injection has some combination of mRNA, ModRNA, has NOT been tested properly…

Smith’s Kroger’s is giving $5 off if folks get the flu shot. May also include RSV, Covid… I don’t pat attention.

Aubergine

I get this at my grocery store, too. Pisses me off.

I guess systemic reactions (e.g. anaphylactic shock) are of no concern to them… and even drug stores (Walgreens, et. al.) aren’t equipped to deal with that, even if they might have epi-pens and DeFis on hand…

Aubergine

Of course not. They don’t care. They care about money.

I ALWAYS tell people I give an herbal treatment (or any medicine) they’ve never had to take it in the presence of others, just in case. You can have an allergic reaction to just about anything.

People have commented to me that “the pharmacist has never told me to do that.” That’s true, too, they don’t. Most herbalists don’t do it, either, but I’m a different kind of herbalist, I guess.

Good interview. Not too long. 37 mins but you can shave a minute off of either side.

A Few Importnat Points From My Friends.

First, Larry makes an astute observation. It is a classic intel analyst observation.

Western analysts continue to be blinded by their deep-seated belief that Russia is a crumbling gas station and attributes the shortage to:

a combination of factors including maintenance at oil refineries, bottlenecks on railways and the weakness of the rouble, which incentivizes fuel exports.

Maybe. But let me suggest an alternative explanation. Russia is husbanding its stockpile of diesel fuel as a contingency for an offensive that will take control of Kiev and Odessa. Farfetched? Maybe. Recent remarks by Speaker of Russia’s Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, and echoed byForeign Minister Lavrov and Defense Chief Shoigu, carries an ominous message for the West — Russia is not interested in a negotiated settlement with Ukraine

Is Larry correct? He may well be, and even if this hypothesis will not actualize, it is one of those cases that the hypothesis was valid and professional. Will know soon enough.

That brings us to my other friend, Marat Khairullin, here is what Marat states:

Translation: This week it became completely clear that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are no longer even on the verge of defeat, but have firmly crossed this line with both feet. And, figuratively speaking, the door behind this threshold slammed shut with a bang, there was nowhere to retreat. As Lavrov said the other day, on the battlefield means on the battlefield. Adequate people who follow our official diplomacy know very well that the head of our diplomacy is responsible for every word he says. In this case, if he expressed himself so categorically, this means that our side is sure that the frog has already been boiled, the ax has fallen, the bloody dawn of the Ukrainian army has arrived, the kirdyk has already landed on the dill’s head, etc. – in a word, the trend has taken its toll.

If anyone wonders what “kirdyk” is–here is explanation. Obviously the synonym to kirdyk is good ol’ Russian pizdets, but Marat cannot use it, of course;) But Marat makes this necessary accent on Lavrov’s statement which was:

Russia’s Lavrov rubbishes Ukraine peace plan and warns conflict will be resolved on battlefield

For those who do not understand, let me translate–Lavrov didn’t talk about 404 and the remnants of its army. No, Lavrov was talking about combined forces of NATO. Read Marat’s piece in full, he also gives a very good insight into Lavrov’s statement. It always was about NATO and now ALL Russian political top speaks about it openly–either the remnants of 404, which is a euphemism for NATO, follow Russian conditions or 404 ceases to exist, together with NATO whose military defeat, should it decide to commit a suicide, is not in doubt. It takes Lavrov and his nonchalant attitude to deliver the message.

How can anyone not root for the Russians, when the leadership of Western nations is so despicable… not to mention evil?
