ACTS 9:1-20
1But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3Now as he journeyed he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed about him. 4And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting; 6but rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” 7The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8Saul arose from the ground; and when his eyes were opened, he could see nothing; so they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank. 10Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Anani’as. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Anani’as.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for a man of Tarsus named Saul; for behold, he is praying, 12and he has seen a man named Anani’as come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” 13But Anani’as answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to thy saints at Jerusalem; 14and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call upon thy name.” 15But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16for I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” 17So Anani’as departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized, 19and took food and was strengthened. For several days he was with the disciples at Damascus. 20And in the synagogues immediately he proclaimed Jesus, saying, “He is the Son of God.”

Exclusive: Emails Reveal Speaker Johnson’s Top Adviser’s Never Trump Conniption Over GOP Group’s Trump Endorsement
Emphasis mine:

House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) Director of House Operations Hannah Fraher had a Never Trump conniption when the Washington, DC, Young Republicans endorsed former President Donald Trump for president, emails obtained by Breitbart News show.

Fraher is one of the most powerful staffers in Johnson’s office and controls all matters relating to the Capitol grounds, access to the building, and more. The Speaker of the House has enormous control and power over the Capitol complex, and Fraher is his lead staffer on that front—and was hired into the position in November 2023, shortly after Johnson won the speakership.

That answers my question about why no one knew he had such a person on his staff, a fact which could have had an impact on whether conservatives would have supported him for Speaker. But she did work for him before: ⬇️

According to her LinkedIn page, she previously worked as a senior counsel on the House Committee on Administration, and before that, she worked in Johnson’s personal office. She also previously served as a legal aide for Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) and has a history of various Republican positions dating back a decade to when she interned for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in the first half of 2013 when Rubio was championing the Gang of Eight amnesty plan in the Senate. Rubio, after losing the 2016 GOP presidential primary to Trump, has since reformed on the issue of immigration and clearly learned what was wrong with that approach, but when Fraher interned for him from January 2013 to May 2013, it was when he was pushing that plan.

What is revealed here for the first time is just how aggressively anti-Trump this very powerful Johnson aide truly is. Emails exclusively obtained by Breitbart News show that Fraher, whom Johnson hired into this top position just a few months after she sent these messages, melted down when the DC Young Republicans endorsed Trump for president in May 2023.

Apparently there is no vetting of aides and staffers by Congresspeople when considering someone for a position of power.

The DC Young Republicans issued the endorsement of Trump’s 2024 campaign for president on May 24, 2023, at 8:12 p.m. ET. “Now, more than ever, we need a champion. We need a leader that knows how to fight and who to fight,” the DC Young Republicans said in the endorsement of Trump. “We need a Caesar with the experience to navigate the battlefield and the instinct and vigor to charge forward like a young crusader. We need a President that puts America First. We need Donald J. Trump in 2024.”

The reason that date and time are significant is that that is the day that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis entered the 2024 GOP presidential primary against Trump, and he had done his widely-panned campaign launch with Elon Musk on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, just hours before. A Republican club endorsing a former GOP president for reelection would otherwise seem unremarkable and be standard GOP fare, but what happened in response to the DC Young Republicans emailing the endorsement to its membership list is particularly revealing.

Fraher, in response to the organization’s endorsement announcement email, accused the group of violating its bylaws by endorsing Trump. She demanded her dues be refunded, and she threatened to quit the group.

…That was not the end of it, either. Fraher, sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News, totally melted down in person in emotional interactions with others in the nation’s capitol about it all in anti-Trump tirades. Fraher regularly criticized Trump and attacked the former president, complaining about him to several people who spoke with Breitbart News. Sources familiar with the matter say Fraher regularly whined about Trump’s personality and said things like she could never support him for president in 2024.

At the time she sent these emails, per her LinkedIn page, she was working in Johnson’s personal congressional office as a “senior counsel.”

I don’t see how others in Congress besides Johnson could not have known what this woman was like.

…shortly thereafter [McCarthy was ousted], he [Johnson] brought Fraher back onto his team in the senior capacity in which she currently serves.

Johnson’s spokesman Raj Shah has not answered detailed questions about this matter from Breitbart News, including if Johnson still has confidence in Fraher given these revelations. Shah has also not answered a question Breitbart News sent him for Fraher in particular, specifically whether she still hates Trump or if she supports him now that he is the presumptive GOP nominee for president.

“Not commenting,” Shah simply said in response to inquiries on the matter.

⬇️

Fraher, sources familiar with the matter add, has recently told people she intends to try to get a job in a future Trump administration should Trump win the election in November. It is unclear if this episode would hamper that possibility, but given the Trump team’s long memories with other GOP staffers and consultants, it would seem that this would factor into such a decision.

It had better “factor in.” This illustrates what is wrong with Congress and Washington. Sabotage from within by staffers and Congresspeople who are either clueless, too stupid to understand the gravity of the situation, or are complicit in tearing down those who are trying to restore America. It looks as if only a handful of them care. Of that group, it seems to me that they need to be vetting everyone working in others’ offices. And Johnson has to go.

TradeBait2

Anybody now arguing for Johnson to continue in his role is a Uniparty supporter. Hiring a uniparty operative into that position is the last confirmation needed. As a result that calls into question even the alleged MAGA reps who voted for him to have the gavel, although I realize somebody had to take it that did not have Dem in their byline.

All of what is happening there can be summed up with, “You are known by the company you keep.”

What a cesspool of traitors and seditionists.

gil00

Whatd you think of SD in his argument against MTG and others wanting him out? That essentially the oroposed ouster is the uniparty at work to make hake em jeff ries the speaker,?

Barb Meier

“These are not my monkeys, this is not my circus.” comes to mind. Johnson is just one more arrogant imbecile trying to rent my headspace with BS and lies. I don’t know if he’s as stupid as he sounds or if he thinks we are. I don’t think it much matters since we need to clean out DC from top to bottom with few exceptions to get honest representation.

gil00

Probably not at this point. 😕

kalbokalbs

Couple das ago, an r-Con asked Johnson to resign, subject to a replacement Speaker be voted in.

This would keep r-Cons from joining D-rats and voting hakeem as Speaker.

Johnson will never agree.

IF johnson is tossed, have a r-Con speaker becomes very iffy, with the horrible r-Cons in the House.

BREAKING: Photos have surfaced of “furries” in Nebo School District in Utah. The media and a spokesperson for the school are claiming it’s not happening.

Definitely don’t share this thing that we have photos of that’s totally not happening!

It is an abomination that a school is sanctioning this behavior in the first place, let alone that they are allowing “furries” to harass other students. This is sick, twisted behavior that should be prohibited. IMO it is child abuse to not only allow students to act that way, but to inflict such deviancy on other students.

I don’t understand why parents have not been up in arms. If I were in their shoes, the first time I heard of even one student being allowed to act like an animal, I would have been at the school, have contacted the school board and superintendent, and would have alerted the local news. This is unbelievable.

On April 19, 1775, the American Revolution began when the first shots were fired at the Battles of Lexington and Concord.

(Even though the American colonists were technically still British at that time, they are referred to here as Americans and colonists. The redcoats are referred to as British and soldiers.)

British troops had been occupying Boston for several years by this time, but their presence was increased after the Boston Tea Party in early 1773. This only angered the colonists, who began stockpiling weapons and ammunition for the anticipated fight to come.

In Boston, British General Thomas Gage received orders from London in April, 1775 to capture the rebels’ arms and the leaders of the rebellion – specifically John Hancock and Samuel Adams. The patriots had already learned the British would be embarking on a major action soon. Patriot leaders fled Boston for safety. The city of Concord was warned that its weapons stash might be the target of the coming raid.

On the evening of April 18th, Dr. Joseph Warren received word from his inside spy, thought to be General Gage’s wife, that the soldiers would march out that night. Their target was indeed the ammunition and weapons in Concord. Paul Revere and William Dawes were sent out late that night to warn Lexington and Concord of the impending attack.

Around 9pm that night, the soldiers were awakened and told to assemble. 700 made their way across the Charles River. As they marched to Lexington, they became aware of warning signals in the distance and realized their “surprise” had been discovered. Around 4 am on the 19th, Lieutenant Colonel Francis Smith sent word back to Boston that the militia was gathering and he needed reinforcements.

As the message from Paul Revere spread around the countryside, local militia groups gathered and marched toward Concord. The Lexington militia gathered early in the morning under Captain John Parker. Lexington was on the road to Concord and the army would have to pass through the town or march around it. When the British arrived around 5 am, about 80 men were arranged for battle, but Parker told them not to fire unless fired upon. The British marched right in to Lexington and formed a battle line. Both sides were under orders not to fire. To this day, no one knows who fired the first shot at the Battle of Lexington, but shooting soon rang out and eight Americans lay dead, while only one British soldier was injured.

The Shot Heard Round the World by Domenick D’Andrea

The army marched on to Concord and split up to search the town. Unbeknownst to them, most of the ammunition had already been carried away. North of town, at the Olde North Bridge, a standoff developed between 95 British soldiers guarding the bridge and several hundred gathering militia. This time, a panicking British soldier fired the first shot. The overwhelmed soldiers began to run for their lives when the Americans began firing back. Several were killed or wounded on both sides at the Battle of Concord.

The fleeing soldiers joined their comrades in Concord, and began marching back to Lexington, followed by an ever growing number of Minutemen who continued firing on them. Just when these fleeing soldiers got to Lexington, they met the reinforcements of another 1,000 men under the command of Brigadier General Hugh Percy. Percy ordered the group back to Boston, but the march turned out to be a tortuous one.

By this time, a few thousand colonists had gathered and placed themselves at strategic points along the road back to Boston. The soldiers found themselves under constant fire for the next eight hours. Numerous soldiers were picked off during the march. Many thought their death was inevitable. By the time the British reached Menotomy (now Arlington) the officers had lost all control and soldiers began fleeing and committing acts of atrocity as the fighting spread from house to house. Several colonists were killed in their own homes or in taverns along the road. The fighting spread into Cambridge as the colonists continued the pursuit. Eventually the soldiers reached safety in Charlestown.

By morning, more than 15,000 colonists surrounded Boston. 73 British soldiers had been killed and 174 wounded the day before. 49 colonists were killed and 39 were wounded. The Continental Congress would soon appoint George Washington the Commander-in-Chief and the militia surrounding Boston would be transformed into the new Continental Army. The American Revolution had begun and would last another seven years.

The story of four stolen cannons:

https://www.nps.gov/mima/planyourvisit/the-hancock.htm

“The Hancock” is a rare Revolutionary War cannon with an extraordinary tie to Concord. It may have played a significant role in the start of the war itself. It is on display at the North Bridge Visitor Center, Minute Man National Historical Park (174 Liberty St. Concord, MA.) through the courtesy of the Bunker Hill Monument Association.

In September of 1774, Boston Patriots brazenly stole four brass cannon right from under British guard. The cannons were smuggled out of Boston and added to the growing caches of Colonial arms.

General Gage showed a special interest in recovering the four brass cannons. Because they were stolen, he may have felt more justified in seizing them. Also, brass cannons were valuable as field artillery than iron because they were lighter and more maneuverable.

In February of 1775, records of the Committees of Safety and Supplies indicate that the stolen cannons were moved to Concord. In March, Gage received a spy report from Concord that four brass cannons were “Conceal’d at Mr. B, (Lately chose or appointed Minute Colo.) Suppos’d to be deposited in his cellar.” Concord’s new Colonel was James Barrett.

Ten iron cannons were also reported to be in the town. In April, Gage ordered the expedition to Concord for the purpose of seizing and destroying colonial weapons stockpiles, including cannon. Barrett’s farm, a mile and a half beyond the North Bridge, was the furthest point from Boston that was searched by the British troops.

The cannons were not found, since the Colonists had enough advance warning to move them. The four brass cannons were used through the Revolution. Two of them, while in Canada, were captured by the British.

After the war’s end, the remaining two were returned by Congress to Massachusetts, christened “The Hancock” and “The Adams” and inscribed. In 1843, they were installed at the top of the Bunker Hill Monument, where “The Adams” remains to this day.

The inscription on the cannon reads:

“The Hancock ~ Sacred to Liberty. ~ This is one of four cannon, which constituted the whole train of Field Artillery, possessed by the British Colonies of North America, at the commencement of the war, on the 19th of April, 1775. ~ This cannon and its fellow belonging to a number of citizens of Boston, were used in many engagements during the war. The other two, the property of the Government of Massachusetts were taken by the enemy. ~ By order of the United States in Congress assembled ~ May 19th, 1788.”

The second most famous event on April 18th! #PaulRevere

Seriously though, I want to thank all my wonderful friends on this forum for their generous thoughts on my birthday today. You have enriched my life and continue to do so every day. https://abs-0.twimg.com/emoji/v2/svg/1f64f.svghttps://abs-0.twimg.com/emoji/v2/svg/1f382.svghttps://abs-0.twimg.com/emoji/v2/svg/1f389.svg

Paul Revere makes his famous midnight ride

On this day in history, April 18, 1775, Paul Revere makes his famous midnight ride to warn the countryside that the British Regulars were coming. Revere was one of the most well-connected and trusted patriots of the inner circle of patriot leaders in Boston.

Patriots in Boston were constantly watching British movements and listening to their conversations surreptitiously. In the days leading up to the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the patriots became aware that a major movement was being planned. They did not know the exact date of the movement, or the target, but common sense told them that the patriot leaders, John Hancock and Samuel Adams, might be the target, as well as a large cache of weapons and ammunition being stored in Concord.

Two days before the 18th, Paul Revere was sent into the countryside to share the latest intelligence with rural patriot leaders. One stop he made was in Lexington, where Hancock and Adams were staying with the Reverend Jonas Clark, having fled Boston for their own safety. Revere warned them that a major action was planned for the near future and that they may be the target. After this, he went on to Concord and warned the citizens that the arms cache might be the target. The citizens quickly went about moving the supplies to other locations.

On the evening of April 18, Paul Revere received a message from Dr. Joseph Warren that his inside spy had informed him the action would take place the following day and the target was the arms at Concord. Revere immediately instructed Robert Newman to place a prearranged signal in the steeple of the Old North Church to inform the inhabitants of Charlestown that the British would be making their trek by sea and not by land – hence the phrase, “One if by land, two if by sea.” Revere then crossed the Charles River in a boat, arrived in Charlestown and set off for Lexington on a borrowed horse.

On the way, Revere was discovered by a British patrol, but he escaped to the north and made a round-about ride to Lexington. He arrived in Lexington around 12:30 that night and informed Hancock, Adams and the local militia the British were coming. Revere was joined by William Dawes, another rider sent by Warren and Dr. Samuel Prescott as they rode on to Concord. Along the way, however, they ran into another British patrol that scattered the group. Prescott got away and rode on to Concord. Dawes got away, but fell off his horse and walked back to Lexington.

Revere was captured, a fact unknown to most Americans. He was ordered to divulge any information he had at gunpoint. He calmly told them that 500 Americans would be there with guns shortly. Just then, shots were heard from Lexington (it was actually the militia congregating). The shots spooked the soldiers and they rode off, leaving Revere behind with no horse. Revere then went back to Lexington, and helped get some belongings of Hancock out of the town and joined the Revolution.

On the morning of the 19th, the American Revolution would break out when the British soldiers marched into Lexington. Through the rest of the war, Revere would frequently be called on to deliver messages as far as New York and Philadelphia. He would also serve as a lieutenant colonel of artillery in the Massachusetts Militia and as Commander of Fort Independence in Boston Harbor.

Thank you, http://revolutionary-war-and-beyond.com

Paul Revere didn’t do as much warning as he intended. He was captured by Redcoats shortly after he set out. During questioning, he spun tall tales about the size and location of colonists which his interrogators found to be unbelievable.

The Vigilant Fox:

Pro-Vaxxer Left Speechless as Dr. McCullough Drops the Disturbing Truth About the COVID Shots

BRIAN SHAPIRO: “You are… far less likely to get the effects of having to go into the ICU or possibly dying if you were vaccinated. Am I wrong?”

DR. McCULLOUGH: “Yeah, you’re wrong. And here’s the reason why.”

• “The prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials of the vaccines never showed a reduction in severity.”

• “They never showed a reduction in hospitalization and death.”

• “In a recent paper by Norman Fenton from the UK, he shown that there was tremendous misclassification bias.” This misclassification bias led to the false claim that 90% of people dying in the hospital were unvaccinated.

• “In countries that actually did have the vaccine status, like the UK, they found far more vaccinated in the hospital on ventilators and dying than the unvaccinated.”

• “With every single injection, one is more and more likely to get COVID-19.”

• “Our safety system for vaccines records, on average, 150 deaths in a year on average. The COVID-19 vaccines roll out… 18,655 Americans dying after the vaccine. 1150 die on the same day they take the shot! Some die in the vaccine center. 1200 die the next day.”

18,655 Americans dying after the vaccine doesn’t account for the underreporting factor of 30. “We’re looking, as we sit here today, at 550,000 plus Americans who have died after the vaccine. The same pattern is seen worldwide.”

Dr. @P_McCulloughMD ended with this statement:

“There are calls to pull these vaccines off the market. They’re so grossly unsafe because people die quickly after taking them.”

OK, this one is pretty funny.

A guy’s parents remodel their kitchen and use travertine tile. While over admiring it, he notes that it appears to contain a partial fossilized jawbone.

Which turns out to be a partial fossilized hominid (human ancestor) jawbone. Hopefully not great-great-great-uncle Herbert…..

https://arstechnica.com/science/2024/04/renovation-relic-man-finds-hominin-jawbone-in-parents-travertine-kitchen-tile/

Do you continue preparing sandwiches in that kitchen?

kalbokalbs

Yes.

Slow Guy found this…

Travertine tile is actually a type of limestone that develops in the high temperatures of hot water springs. Since these springs exist all around the world, travertine has no specific place of origin. Natural travertine tile can be found everywhere from Italy to Iran to Peru.

mollypitcher5

Another thing about this story that got my attention was that the dentist that discovered it in his parents kitchen was 75. Longevity runs is their genes.

cthulhu

Which might remove a couple of “great-greats” out of uncle Herbert’s relationship….

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Go to books.google.com, click on Search Tools and then Full View and you end up in the fabulous library of historical literature that Google has digitized and allows you to read and download for free.

Enter “carbonic acid, atmosphere” in the search window and you’ll find scientists who were out in the field in the 1800s taking CO2 measurements all over the place—indoors, outdoors, in cities, over lakes, up mountains, in mines, at midday, at midnight, in rural areas…—most of which were higher than the 425 ppm figure hurled at us today. The second listing that pops up is a good place to start: “Air and Rain: The Beginnings of a Chemical Climatology” by Robert Angus Smith, published in 1872. He starts with a load of data collected by Theodore de Saussure, much earlier in the 1800s.

“Carbonic acid” was used synonymously for “carbon dioxide,” back in the day. You’ll find clear references about that, too. Chemistry books for instance that spell out that the formula for carbonic acid is CO2.

Rep. Matt Gaetz

@RepMattGaetz
Joe Biden and Antony Blinken claimed that Niger would be the “centerpiece” of their Africa strategy. Then a coup happened. Now 1100 American troops are stranded in Niger, being denied access to supplies, and at risk of another Benghazi-style attack. But the State Department has covered this up, because Biden and Blinken would rather avoid their own embarrassment than do the right thing for our troops.

Democrats Seize Control of House

Speaker Mike Johnson Relies on Minority Party Votes to Advance Foreign Aid Plan
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) made history Thursday night just before midnight by essentially surrendering Republican majority control to Democrats.
For the first time in recorded history — since the House began keeping records — the House Rules Committee relied on minority party votes to overcome objections from the majority and advance a rule bill to the House floor.
The committee voted nine to three, with all four Democrats on the committee voting with five Republicans to move a rule to the House floor, which, if passed with Democrat support as expected, would allow votes on Johnson’s foreign aid package, including a bill that includes tens of billions to fund Ukraine.
Conservative Reps. Chip Roy (R-TX), Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Ralph Norman (R-SC) voted no.
The Speaker is about to use Democrats to ram his #AmericaLast foreign wars package (w/ zero border security) thru the Rules Committee over opposition by @chiproytx, @RepThomasMassie & @RepRalphNorman.
A Speaker has NEVER used the minority to steamroll his own party in Rules.

The story is the same when we look at other munitions. Take the Patriot missile system — our premier air defense weapon. It’s of such importance in this war that Ukraine’s foreign minister has specifically demanded them.
DEMANDED THEM? i would tell the foreign minister to stuff it!! Sounds to me like the foreign minister is getting his marching orders from the MIC to demand more than we can produce–so our gov’t ramps up MIC contracts and orders–profiting the MIC.

SENATOR VANCE: THE MATH ON UKRAINE DOESN’T ADD UP
“This is not just a matter of dollars. Fundamentally, we lack the capacity to manufacture the amount of weapons Ukraine needs us to supply to win the war.”
https://www.vance.senate.gov/press-releases/senator-vance-the-math-on-ukraine-doesnt-add-up/
Ukraine’s challenge is not the G.O.P.; it’s math. Ukraine needs more soldiers than it can field, even with draconian conscription policies. And it needs more matériel than the United States can provide. This reality must inform any future Ukraine policy, from further congressional aid to the diplomatic course set by the president.
Consider our ability to produce 155-millimeter artillery shells. Last year, Ukraine’s then defense minister assessed that their base line requirement for these shells is over four million per year, but said they could fire up to seven million if that many were available. Since the start of the conflict, the United States has gone to great lengths to ramp up production of 155-millimeter shells. We’ve roughly doubled our capacity and can now produce 360,000 per year — less than a tenth of what Ukraine says it needs. The administration’s goal is to get this to 1.2 million — 30 percent of what’s needed — by the end of 2025. This would cost the American taxpayers dearly while yielding an unpleasantly familiar result: failure abroad.
Just this week, the top American military commander in Europe argued that absent further security assistance, Russia could soon have a 10-to-1 artillery advantage over Ukraine. What didn’t gather as many headlines is that Russia’s current advantage is at least 5 to 1, even after all the money we have poured into the conflict. Neither of these ratios plausibly lead to Ukrainian victory.
The story is the same when we look at other munitions. Take the Patriot missile system — our premier air defense weapon. It’s of such importance in this war that Ukraine’s foreign minister has specifically demanded them. That’s because in March alone, Russia reportedly launched over 3,000 guided aerial bombs, 600 drones and 400 missiles at Ukraine. To fend off these attacks, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, and others have indicated they need thousands of Patriot interceptors per year. The problem is this: The United States only manufactures 550 every year. If we pass the supplemental aid package currently being considered in Congress, we could potentially increase annual production to 650, but that’s still less than a third of what Ukraine requires.

Those 25,000 CCP illegals are only the ones who were caught. The Border Patrol has already stated that, for every “encounter” with an illegal alien, there are 3 or 4 who slip through at unguarded crossing points, across the river, etc.
This would mean, in real numbers, that 50,000 – 75,000 UN-Border Patrol “encountered” CCP illegals are likely loose in the United States.

Donald Trump Describes 9 Historical Battles

Following Donald Trump’s masterful recounting of the Battle of Gettysburg, the world has been awaiting his descriptions of other famous battles. That wait is now over, as Trump has provided his synopses of an all-star list of the world’s most well-known confrontations.
The Babylon Bee is proud to reveal Trump’s commentary on the following battles:

  1. Battle of Stalingrad: “The Germans came in. You really gotta hand it to Hitler. Bad guy, don’t get me wrong. But he came into Stalingrad. Rommel tried to tell him. ‘Don’t get involved in a land war in Asia, me boys,’ he said. But Hitler didn’t listen.”
  2. D-Day: “And the Americans, they crossed the water and landed on the beaches. Brits were nowhere. Nowhere to be seen. Very sad, what’s happened to the British. Hitler, he was asleep. He’s fallen out of favor, you ever notice that? Not in favor anymore. Tom Hanks, he was there. Good friend of mine, Mr. Hanks.”
  3. Battle of Hoth: “The rebels were hiding out there on Hoth. Very cold, very cold on Hoth. I’m telling you, Mar-A-Lago is much warmer. It’s in the tropics. Don’t have to cut open a Tauntaun there. And those big crawly things came in, and Luke kissed his sister. Incest Luke, we call him. Very sad.”
  4. The Alamo: “Remember the Alamo, who can ever forget the Alamo. ‘Shoot the Mexicans, me boys, shoot the Mexicans.’ Davy Crockett said that. You know who forgot the Alamo? Joe Biden. Sleepy Joe. He can’t remember the Alamo, can’t even remember his name. Forgetful Joe.”
  5. Helm’s Deep: “This fellow, Bob Helm I think he was called, built a great big wall. Made Sauron pay for it. The Orcs tried to get through with a big bomb thing. But Theoden was there. Great man. We all remember him right? He said ‘So it begins, me boys, so it begins.’ Gandalf showed up late, of course. Slept in that day. Groggy Gandalf, we call him.”
  6. Battle of Troy: “They say it started over a gal named Helen. She was a beauty, wasn’t she? Except for the name. I’ve never seen a hot woman named Helen. But there she was. And they brought in a big horse. And they let the horse in, even though it was undocumented. They had no idea who the horse was. Nobody vetted him. And they all died. So sad. All because they didn’t secure their border.”
  7. The Battle of Little Bighorn: “Custard’s last stand. General Custard. Lot of arrows in him. Fought the Sioux. I can relate. A lot of people Sioux me. Never underestimate Indians. Redskins, I call them. Great football team, never should’ve changed the name.”
  8. The War Against The Machines: “We fought hard in that one. The robots were smart. Looked like humans. But their hands — robots can’t do hands. It’s how John spotted them. John Connor, his name was. He sent people back in time to save himself but he never sent himself back. Did you notice that? Never sent himself back.”
  9. Battle of Thermopylae: “Battle of THER-mo-Pie-Lay, that’s what they called it. Strange name but they say it meant the ‘Hot Gates.’ I didn’t think they were hot, but everyone was sensitive in those days. The Persians wanted through the gates but the Spartans said no. Fought naked. Little gay to be honest. Little gay that they did that. The Persians wore clothes, and so they won. You don’t win battles fighting naked, I’ve always said.”

There’s nothing like having history retold in the words of a true master. It’s little wonder the nations of the world shook in fear during his presidency.

1.) Nattokinase. Why? It degrades spike proteins, as suggested by preclinical studies. • Take 2000 units twice a day. 2.) Bromelain. Why? Similar to nattokinase, it also breaks down spike proteins. • Take 500 milligrams once a day 3.) Curcumin. Why? Reduces inflammation and spike protein damage. • Take 500 milligrams twice a day and combine with 5 or 10 mg of piperine to enhance its absorption. That summarizes @P_McCulloughMD ’s “Base Spike Detoxification” protocol. ADDITIONAL TREATMENTS Hydroxychloroquine: Added if there are signs of autoimmunity. Ivermectin: Included if there are signs of persistent infection. Colchicine: Used if there are significant signs of pleuropericardial problems (involving the membrane around the heart and lungs). Nicotine Patch or Oral Aciclovir: These are considered if there are neurological symptoms like brain fog. Low-dose Naltrexone: Used to enhance the body’s natural painkilling response and reduce inflammation.

Thank you for bringing this.

IMO, based on the research and writing that Yours Truly has been doing for the last 4+ years now on the COVID-19 virus itself and the COVID-19 “vaccines”, it can be fairly argued that ALL COVID-19 “VACCINATED” PERSONS ARE COVID-19 “VACCINE” INJURED, AND NEED TO BE FOLLOWING A SPIKE PROTEIN DETOX PROGRAM.

in addition, IMO, COVID-19 “UN-VACCINATED” PERSONS WHO EVER HAD, AND RECOVERED FROM, A COVID-19 INFECTION ARE LIKELY ALSO DAMAGED — BY THE SPIKE PROTEIN IN THE VIRUS ITSELF — AND ALSO NEED TO BE FOLLOWING A SPIKE PROTEIN DETOX PROGRAM.

In addition, IMO, ANY PERSON, ESPECIALLY COVID-19 “UN-VACCINATED” PERSONS, WHO HAVE CONTACT WITH COVID-19 “VACCINATED” PERSONS, ALSO NEED TO BE FOLLOWING A SPIKE PROTEIN DETOX PROGRAM — BECAUSE OF THE POTENTIAL FOR THE COVID-19 “VACCINES” TO “SHED” ONTO OTHER PERSONS.

Valerie Curren

100% PAVACA Dr. McCollough’s Spike treatment, as verbalized in the video, seems like a good thing to get into writing, perhaps there is a transcript of what he said, & that info could/should be added to some of your important posts, like de-pop.

There is probably not a “one size fits all” approach to dealing with spike issues, but what Dr. McC says gives a range of approaches that can provide us with a roadmap of how to attempt to mitigate this ubiquitous damage we are all likely facing to some degree…

Back to nature…

Homesteading: A Journey of Self-SufficiencyIt doesn’t take 40 acres, mule and a plow to start Robert W Malone MD, MS

During WWII, victory gardens provided Americans and soldiers with much of their food. This movement was led by the government, but was immediately abandoned post-war as soldiers returned to the farm, and as the economy needed a reboot. Modern co-op gardens gained popularity in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s, led by a back-to-the-earth movement. Self-sufficiency movements in the 1990s and 2000s began to apply the concept to urban and suburban settings. Fast forward to the present and now the off-the-grid movement and regenerative farming techniques are sweeping the nation. Whatever the name, homesteading offers both a respite from “modern” life as well as healthier alternatives for living. One doesn’t need 40 acres, mule and a plow to practice homesteading. An old bucket and some seeds may be all that one needs to start…

Homesteading is not confined to a specific location. It can happen anywhere, from an indoor vegetable garden to a potted parsley plant at the doorstep, to making preserves from locally sourced fruits. Homesteading is about reclaiming control of your life, about taking back the reins and shaping your own destiny, food supply and life. Shortening and simplifying the supply chain…comment image

He is not a coward – went on the show knowing he’d get hard questions.

He was well prepared – had plausible explanations for every position he holds.

He didn’t stutter or deflect. He exuded genuine confidence.

My conclusion: He should remain speaker. We could easily do a lot worse.

My gripe: No border discussion.

Overall grade for Bongino – B+ or A-.

Needless to say but I’ll say it anyway – YMMV.

I listened to this song on repeat while I was 8.5 months pregnant in ICU. Everyday for 12 days I told myself I was in God’s hands and these words uplifted me after a friend sent it to me. I beat the odds, walked out of ICU and 2 weeks later I delivered a perfectly healthy baby girl. Since that day, I have chosen to devote my life to Christ and where He calls me, I go. I can’t listen to this song without bursting into tears. He is so powerful and good. He is where the joy is.

The protestor who set himself on fire was distributing pamphlets titled “The True History of the World” and published an online manifesto where he explained why he was taking such an extreme act.
“My name is Max Azzarello, and I am an investigative researcher who has set himself on fire outside of the Trump trial in Manhattan.
This extreme act of protest is to draw attention to an urgent and important discovery:
We are victims of a totalitarian con, and our own government (along with many of their allies) is about to hit us with an apocalyptic fascist world coup.”

Nice, except it’s not real. Since the quote is not accurate, I can’t imagine there being a plaque like that in Texas. Its appearance is too flat to be real, as well.

https://www.mountvernon.org/library/digitalhistory/digital-encyclopedia/article/spurious-quotations/

“A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.”

This quote is partially accurate as the beginning section is taken from Washington’s First Annual Message to Congress on the State of the Union. However, the quote is then manipulated into a differing context and the remaining text is inaccurate. Here is the actual text from Washington’s speech:

“A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies.”

So not only did someone change Washington’s words (which IMO is the height of disrespect and untruth), but they or someone else went to the trouble to make it look as if the spurious quote had been inscribed on a plaque.

Critical? ackkk in this vid it looks like his head popped off. Hard to say though. Happens after the woman blocks the shout then moves for a better view, then body drops back. Something head size pops into the air, but I think that came from the other side of his body… like I said hard to say.

Okay, another view… head did not pop off. It was something from his pants that came loose when he kicked up his legs..

putting this under cover… should of done same with the other.. apologies.

Ackkk… clicking this one directly will kick you off the page… doesn’t know why. Use your right click button and view in separate tab to avoid that.

Valerie Curren

That tweet is apparently already gone. Any further description you might care to share?

para59r

It was a side view, passer bys see him douse himself with gas and start to call out for the police saying man is going to light himself on fire. Then man lights himself on fire. Unobstructed view from the side. When he leans back from the sitting position he he burns a bit and then kicks his legs. It’s at that point what might be a boot or shoe or part of his clothes goes flying a couple of feet into the air. From the other view it looked like it could of been his head popping off, cause the object was that big, but then you can see his head is still there and object came from lower on the body.
When the cops show up, after the first minute or more, first a coat is tried and one fire extinguisher but must not of had much charge as it didn’t put him out completely while another fire extinguisher is used on his backpack and other stuff.

para59r

Oh wait, sorry… that vid is him being rolled away on a gurney thing. Looks well burnt, body is all ashy white, hands sticking up in the air in normal burned claw mode. Hard to say if he is still alive. Didn’t notice any movement, but his body was not covered by anything meaning not dead.

Valerie Curren

Valerie Curren

TY Para, I appreciate this info.

mollypitcher5

it almost looked like he was in a cardboard box or something

litenmaus

The only photos I’ve seen have never showed him on fire…(Sorry, it colored my thinking)…I followed the Vietnam War quite closely and the photos of self-immolating monks that were a favorite of journalists all showed the monk’s bodies within the flames, their appendiges bare of previously worn clothing and some showed the anguish on the face. I’ve seen stills of the fire burning, but I’ve yet to see a photo of this guy actually setting himself on fire, this guy writing in the fire, this guy laying on the street waiting for an ambulance….etc….All I’ve seen is a fire…..the rest has been “narrated”, and told us via the internet.

Usually, the social media accounts on these types of incidences are quickly removed from their platforms….Not this time…Within a very short time, the public was provided with a face, a name, and the twitter comments of the alleged marshmallow were quick to launch across social media.

I haven’t seen any information on his condition molly, and to be honest, until I see something more than I’ve seen so far, I’m not convinced a man set himself on fire.

TheseTruths

This is what I’ve seen, FWIW:
I saw a photo of two women who were said to be distressed because of his screaming. There is a clip of a Fox news person calling for someone to get a fire extinguisher. I’ve seen pics of stretchers with the form of the person blurred out.

Are you saying that, unless you see a photo of the guy on fire, you will believe the story to be fake? If so, what do you think the purpose would be?

mollypitcher5

the purpose is as always..Trump. Negative trump attention. Trump is so bad he causes people to want to go up in flmes

Actors and stunt people could set themselves on fire and not get hurt so yeah I’m skeptical

:0) I knew Jessica Chambers was dead from fire, even tho’ I never saw her body, so it’s not necessarily just the photo, but that the rest of the “picture” comes together and rings true.

On February 25, 2024, Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old serviceman of the United States Air Force, died after setting himself on fire outside the front gate of the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C – There were pictures galore of the Antifa follower, Aaron Bushnellm as the flames consumed him in support of Hamas. The photo confirmed that the dude’s dead, no question (I found it fascinating that the the story and pictures disappeared soon after his involvement in Antifa became known.)

This recent immolation took place in the street in front of the courthouse when Trump’s jury was being chosen. Court external CCTV cameras were recording everything. The area for the past three days has been packed with Trump supporters, and yet not one of those Trump supporters attempted to save the guy’s life by throwing him to the ground and smothering the fire? Not one of those Trump supporters took a photo of a man burning, but instead they chose to snap and upload two women screaming?

It is a fact that there was a fire right outside the courthouse, but as to whether someone lit themselves on fire, I don’t have enough information and a photo would be helpful in confirming what we are being told. :0)

Burgess Everett

It’s not often the Senate whip finds himself at odds with his own party’s administration, yet the controversial surveillance bill has prompted that exact split — with only hours left until the law expires.
The Biden administration is moving to crush an amendment from Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) that would prohibit access to American communications without a warrant. Durbin said this week that he will not be able to support reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s Section 702 program, which allows warrantless surveillance of foreign targets, without changes. The program incidentally sweeps up information from Americans, which has worried privacy advocates in both parties for years.

Durbin’s amendment continues the long-running debate in the House, which discussed before passing the bill last week whether to require a warrant for accessing American communications. Lawmakers in that chamber barely defeated a similar amendment, with Speaker Mike Johnson providing the decisive vote to block it. The intelligence community has repeatedly argued that increasing warrant requirements could imperil national security.
No stranger to skepticism of surveillance programs, Durbin said his amendment would be “narrower” because it focuses on a smaller number of situations. He estimated on Friday afternoon that it would result in “80 requests for warrants in a month out of millions of inquiries. That doesn’t sound like a crippling amendment to me.”
“Any change that’s suggested is always treated by every administration the same way: It’s the end of the 702 program,” Durbin said. “We’ve found a way to make it as reasonable as possible and still they think it’s too much.”
The amendment from the Illinois Democrat and Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) would need just a simple majority to get adopted. Cramer said the high probability that several amendments might pass is holding up a deal to speed up votes and consider amendments.
“What really offends me is that they don’t let us vote on anything that might pass,” Cramer said of the impasse. “The big excuse that they use is, if we pass something with an amendment it has to go back to the House and then it’s midnight tonight and the world ends.”
Amending the measure is a significant concern for leadership, since changing the surveillance bill would mean sending it back to an uncertain fate in the House and almost certainly result in a program lapse. So the administration is moving swiftly to stop Durbin and Cramer’s amendment was well as a bipartisan amendment stripping language that changes which data providers are subject to the program.
In a statement, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen called Durbin’s amendment a “flat-out prohibition on our ability to use U.S. person queries to disrupt threats and protect Americans.”
“It is also not a ‘compromise.’ It’s an extreme proposal that cripples the value of Section 702, especially in protecting Americans from lethal plotting, hacking, recruitment as spies, and more,” Olsen said.
The administration dispatched National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to Capitol Hill to urge quick passage of the reauthorization. And several other top officials, such as Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, CIA Director Bill Burns and Attorney General Merrick Garland, are talking to senators.
As of Friday afternoon, the Senate had not yet clinched a deal to vote on the legislation before that expiration, a pact which will require agreement from all 100 senators. Durbin’s amendment is just one of several that may get a vote Friday.
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said an amendment agreement is “going extraordinarily slowly” and Senate Republicans discussed on Friday how important it was to avoid even a brief lapse of the program.

para59r

Thinks we need to find out who this narrow group of people are that Durbin wants protected from warrantless searches. After reading the amendment, it seems as clear as mud to me. Anyone else care to take a stab at it?

Valerie Curren

No stranger to skepticism of surveillance programs, Durbin said his amendment would be “narrower” because it focuses on a smaller number of situations. He estimated on Friday afternoon that it would result in “80 requests for warrants in a month out of millions of inquiries. That doesn’t sound like a crippling amendment to me.”
