People are upset about Wray… but anything involving investigations and potential trials, this should not be a surprise. It’s possible that those text messages contain actual election interference plans, or worse – not only intent, but actual plans to harm POTUS.
Conspiracy to commit treason is a crime. Deliberate suppression of evidence of crimes – Hillary’s emails, and who knows what other stuff she did… – then that all has to be factored in when dealing with legal issues. Ultimately, this is legal stuff that isn’t solved like in the Old West, one day trial, and hanging the next day.
Strozac strikes me as the more unstable of the two post election. His behavior during the hearings was bizarre (what in the world did Page ever see in him?). Page likely might have turned for some immunity.

Actually from what I read Greenland has peak suicides in the summer months! The lack of real nighttime causes a lot of insomnia which it turns out is a major risk factor for suicide. Surprised me too.

Just read a novel about Newfoundland – much of the same there. Since the northern waters have been fished so heavily by commercial fisheries, there are very few jobs, much hopelessness, depression and anger, plus coping with very harsh climate….so they take it out on each other and the children.

With today’s knowledge of the problems and technology, you would like it could better. Understand that that so many lived in isolated areas but just simple things like the right type of lighting in homes might help.

Just finished watching “Flight of Honor”, the true story of RAF Sqdr. 303, which was comprised of Polish fighter pilots who had fled Nazi-occupied Poland to England so they could fight against Germany.
Incredible story.
No. 303 Squadron claimed the largest number of aircraft destroyed of the 66 Allied fighter squadrons engaged in the Battle of Britain, even though it joined the fray two months after the battle had begun.
How good were these guys?
In its first seven days of combat, the squadron claimed nearly 40 enemy aircraft shot down. Withdrawn from battle for a rest on 11 October 1940, the squadron had 126 kills in six weeks (avg of 3 enemy planes PER DAY!! 😲).
Folks, that is PHENOMENAL performance. Literally jaw-dropping. It is absolutely no exaggeration to say that England would probably have lost the Battle for Britain without the stellar and all-too-important contributions of the gallant Polish fighter pilots (most of whom were more experienced and better pilots than their inexperienced British counter-parts at that time).
And just how did our British cousin’s repay the courage, loyalty and sacrifice of the Poles after they honorably served throughout the entire war, not just helping to save England from German invasion in 1941?
The Brits kicked them out of the U.K. after the war was won, forcing many to return to Soviet-occupied Poland where they were jailed and even executed. Just as England betrayed Poland itself following the war.

It was obvious that Clinton’s program to expand home ownership for low income people meant that billions were being loaned to people who could not repay the loans, and the way mortgage backed securities were being created and sold multiplied the risks many times over. I saw this train wreck coming years before it happened.
Today the historical record around the 2008 banking collapse omits the inconvenient fact that US taxpayers bailed out US banks, brokerage firms and insurance companies in order to save Europe. Treasury received calls from several European Central Banks who panicked after Lehman went down, stating that a collapse of the derivative market would tank their economies. And so, as Gail notes, we in the US took on hundreds of billions in debt to protect European banks. It was a massive multi-generational cross border swindle.

We got BADDLY burned in the OH‼️Bummer mortgage refinancing scam. There must have been multiple AIG ‘insurance policies’ beting we could not pay our mortgage.
The Obama refinancing agent lower our payments. The bank kept wanting more and more paperwork. Kept losing the paperwork… So the bank took over a year to decide we did not ‘qualiry’ and then wanted ALL the back $$$ + INTEREST + PENALTIES + LAWYER COSTS….
They gave us a MONTH to pay BUT WOULD NOT TELL US HOW MUCH WE OWED!!! We had to SUE the bank to get them to cough up a number. So we almost lost our farm. we lost our entire life savings and had to sell a lot of stuff to pay off ALL the Lawyers and the bank. GRRRrrrr 😡

I’m allergic to dogs, but love them very much…..and I’m very much encouraged by the recent work to vaccinate cats against their owners’ allergies…..but really can’t imagine having a dog cooped-up in an 8000 square foot yard. When I move to NC and get a couple of acres, I’d love to get a border collie / Australian sheepdog / Sheltie / Australian Cattle Dog — because I’d like to play with the way ancient dog/human bonds can interface to technology. I can easily imagine border collies switching communication channels between command and tactical.
Of course, I could also run into problems……
In another thread, it seems this border collie has a problem with dachshunds. Weird.

One of the ex Californians from ot that mived to south carolia said all his allergies cleared up within a few months of his move. You may find than some of your issues do the same. I think my family has allwrhies due to our area. We were gone those few days and were better. Once home, coughing and itchiness began again. Poll ens et al.

Weird you should say that. Big T’s girls all had problems with allergies, skin rashes, etc. Ten days here and they were all fine. Happens every time they come = clear up.
Two of them moved to Florida – now fine and dandy, no issues.
Kiddo has to do flonase and add in an otc in fall. When he was pre K he was always sick, then tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. He still sounds stuffy but is much healthier. Socal pollens plus smog and Santa ana winds arent helping. We just have to make it to mr gils retirement in a few years.
Except!….I have known people who has serious allergies in one state…moved to another and they cleared up dramatically…only to develop new allergies there.
We had a local general practitioner MD who gave up his very busy practice in SC to move his family to Arizona for his daughter’s allergies…alas, she is no better there.

Border Collies are wonderful dogs, Coothie…but they are very high-energy and need lots of exercise, every day.
Other herding dogs are pretty high-energy too.
If you are okay with walking them and exercising them each day, then…cool.
Working breeds are great dogs.
I well understand this…..and, in fact, it’s why I’m identifying such “problematic” dogs. While I’m quite fond of snuggly dogs, I anticipate that I will be developing RFID dog doors, odd Wi-Fi dog connections, and “push the button” dog interactions with my future companion.
Just as long as they’re not TOO “feisty”.

I grew up with dogs (and was a “sickly child”) — it wasn’t until I went off to college that it became really obvious I was allergic. When I was a lad, I had a reputation for having animals love-on-me more than their owners. I’ve had snappy, bitey, damaged dogs sleep pressed against me. I know a few things about dogs.
But I’ve lived in my current home for 22+ years and it is too damned small to keep a dog.
Get a yorkie, or a tea cup chihuahua … yes? I love dogs, I have two cats .. 😐🤚 … dh said he likes dogs but doesn’t want to clean up after a dog in the yard … ☹️😢😔 … I love my dh .. so it’s .. here kitty kitty ..

The “hypoallergenic” breeds are the ones that have hair, not fur, and thus do not produce dander. Poodles, and their offshoots – Bichon breeds, which are Havanese, Coton de Tulear, Bolonese, Maltese, Loewchen – are the majority of them. Beware, though, the coats can be very high maintenance, and these guys are notorious for perpetual ear mite and yeast infections. I’ve gotten really good at cleaning ears.
There are those who say that the current group of designer mutts – golden doodle, labrodoodle, etc. – are hypo-allergenic also, but I have a friend who is a known poodle breeder for over 40 years who says they aren’t, and not only that, the parent crossings are not researched well or right.
And, for the record, all dogs do shed, it’s just that the ones with hair do it at a rate more like humans. When we had a lab who was essentially white, I carried a lint roller. 14 years.
Please share your ear cleaning secrets! I have a 12-1/2 yo Bichon mix who has had constant ear drainage (left ear only) her entire life. The bacteria has been identified by culture and treated aggressively but it still comes back. I’ve read that it’s a typical condition associated with Cushings disease which she has.
The vet showed me how to do it. First, you take a hemostat and pull out what hair you can. No, the dogs do not like this. Then you can use an apple cider vinegar solution to wash, but I’ve been using the prescription stuff. Fill the ear, squish it around, then swab it out with cotton. There’s lots of youtube videos on the topic. I have found, though, that grain free food helps with it. Since the male has been on a prescription for diabetes which is grain based, his ears have been a mess.
I switched my dog to raw 10 years ago because she tested positive to so many food allergens. Her skin was a mess her first two years. During that time I experimented with dozens of different “recipes” until I read about raw feeding. After switching all symptoms cleared up within a few months after purging all of the toxins. Grain is the main culprit. The only remaining thing I fight now is the ear gunk which I’ve found out is typical of Cushings dogs (she was diagnosed with advanced stage in June). I use the hemostat to keep the ear clean of hair, which she hates, and flush with Zymox ear cleaner twice a week. It helps but doesn’t resolve. It’s a constant battle.
Ours are Havanese, and we keep their coats short, which helps.
My cattle dog sheets like crazy. I have her bathed every six weeks and they thin out her coat. She also gets salmon oil every day. The bathing helps with shedding.
The Coonhound – Staff mix does not shed much but I have him bathed also regularly at least from early spring to late fall.
Against allergies I have two Dyson animal vacuum cleaners and vacuuming as much as possible. My wood floors are easy damp mopped or dry to deal with allergy problems.
I have daughter inflows who have allergies and they can come to visit with 3 cats and two dogs in the house. They are work but well worth it.
I am not a fan to banish a dog alone to the backyard that is unfair. Maybe two dogs will be fine they need companionship. I do not associate with people who leaves they dogs out or cats.

Our cats are ‘working barn cats’ they are never in the house except when they are kittens. We provide them with health care, food and a nice place to sleep. My cats live into their late teens. My present cat is 19 years old and still outside. (I have asthma so indoor animals except when babies is not an option)
Since we are a 1/4 mile from the road, getting run over is not a problem. We also have several wild cats in the vicinity. (Ours are neutered)

When it comes to animals we keep them as ‘natural’ as possible. I do not trim the manes or tails of my ponies unless necessary. I NEVER trim the whiskers on the muzzle or shave the inside of the ears. We do not even groom them much in winter since we do not want to remove their natural ‘weather proofing’
Everyone gets run-in sheds but most ignore the shelters. I have stalls but I only use them for medicating animals.
I had a horse with heaves (asthmatic) and had to fight tooth and nail to keep her OUTSIDE as much as possible when I boarded her up north. Her mother died young because a well meaning barn owner insisted on keeping her in a closed barn during the winter. A barn with hay stored above may be nice and warm but it is also full of the mold that will trigger heaves…. and death.
Get it’s scent gland removed and it will make an excellent pet and quite possibly a much,much better burglar deterrent

I’d like to share another perspective about Scott. I know him a little, his hometown is my city. He is a very kind and genuine person. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of POTUS, and continues to do so.

First I was specifically referring to personal threats. Second I have been hearing comments from our side about the negative press for years. We have not been silent at all. The difference is Pres Trump. He adds weight…just look at how often people use the phrase “fake news.”
Lastly, I really doubt what he does will change the direction of the electorate. Events do. Voter fraud is rampant. We will see if anything has been implemented to stem that.

Regarding voter registration – in our area at least, there are now groups actively working on getting people to vote – GOP has been very weak on this. Our state doesn’t register by party, but I’ve been amazed at the number of people who don’t vote, but they’re on “our side.”

Scott calls attention to the rot of the Dem cities – we’ve not done a good job with that – until DJT. A full size horse (~1000 lbs) can provide enough protien to sustain a family of 4 for a year. Now people have a vet shoot the animal with a poison and bury it or as I do, donate it to a tiger/lion rescue sanctuary.

I have had at least a dozen rescue ponies and they have ALL been a disaster. My point is if burial is taking up too much space for individual graves there are plenty of options other than cannibalism to deal with the body. Soft tissue will decompose in a year and a day when in a crypt. That’s how bodies were dealt with before graveyards were a thing. That and cremation.

I’ll tell you what, this is disturbing on a number of levels. So Pres Trump aggressive tweets about the Fed actually had a direct purpose. Today is the annual 2 day Fed meeting in Jackson Hole, WY. We will hear public comments from Powell so that should be interesting. Last week the yield curve inverted briefly so I believe the Fed will recommend further rate reductions. Will they ease as well?
Also the manufacturing PMI and the services PMI get released today. That should tell us a lot.
“The Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) is an indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector. The PMI is based on five major indicators: new orders, inventory levels, production, supplier deliveries and the employment environment.”
Powell is giving a speech tomorrow at 10 am. Big, big speech. Very important.
Here is something else the Fed will consider. Each March, the BLS takes a more stringent evaluation of its job survey numbers for the year. Their first lookback was just announced. They have decreased the overall nomfarm payroll number by 501,000 for the year ending in March 2019. They will produce the final number in 2020. Here it is.

Well…having air conditioning has coincided with a rise in life expectancy. Coincidence? Probably. But, locally, before AC, the people in these parts would sleep outside in the summer. Most people would go to a park with a fountain. In this neighborhood, houses had (and many still do have) sleeping porches on the second floor. In places like Hannibal (upriver 100 miles or so) where caves are available, that’s where people would go for meetings and church and all sorts of things. The caves are 55-60 degrees year round.
Air conditioning made all of that unnecessary.

I have issues with WordPress, which as a reasonably IT literate person, I have not bothered to resolve. My problem is that I can’t reliably sign on in one or two attempts.

My Mandy Patinkin story…
Several years ago I went to a matinee theater performance featuring Mandy Patinkin. It was in Palm. Beach, Fla. (aka Never Never Land), in a very small theater,. The matinees were primarily an excuse for the Uber- wealthy socialites to lunch at the private clubs, wear their latest couture outfits, etc. Never saw so many bad face lifts in my life!
In other words, the performance was the excuse, not the reason to be there and as an audience their inattention and rudeness were widely known. Often, the audience had to be implored to “respect” the performers as well as others in the audience.
The afternoon Mandy was the performer, he tolerated about 20 minutes of the audience, gave them a piece of his mind and walked off the stage.
Yep. Those are the same folks who have 9-foot concert grands (Steinway, or Bösendorfer with the little door at the left of the keyboard which you open to get the rest of the octave) that cost more than my car (or both of them, for that matter), yet they keep the lid down, never play it, and stick a plant or two on it.
I could almost cry. How I’d love to have one of those pianos. And I’d actually play it.

Not only is that poem in the dedication part of my Masters Thesis, but also it’s one of my personal favorites and a fundamental principle that guides my decisions throughout my life.
Ask my kids about it and they will know the true meaning of this great poem.
One time recently, my wife and I went day hiking at a State park. We eventually found a quiet place in the woods and laid out our picnic blanket for lunch. Little did we know, but our adult daughter, who lived nearby, was trying to find us to join for lunch. With no cell coverage, she was just guessing which direction we had taken.

I’ll be there to see Johnny Limbo and The Lugnuts. They’ve been performing 50’s and 60’s Rock n Roll since 1978.
Obviously, they’re very good. They are always the last band to play each summer at the series.

The more I think about the interview today, the more I resemble Suspicious Cat.
This Byrne interview/resignation/interview process could be what Sarah Carter calls by the military term “final defensive fire”, i.e. a Hail Mary play to get in front of the narrative by painting Killary as a victim of the Deep State. And, more than incident, to rehabilitate Buffet in the eyes of patriots.
They know from Solomons interview on Hannity this week that Declass of major FISAgate documents in coming soon, circa 1st few weeks of September.
I now suspect something will come out of Declass that is negative about the “Rabbi”, which I would then consider to be a partial confirmation of this theory.
An objection to this suspicious attitude is that Byrne would have been required to step down as CEO of Overstock to pull it off. But think– the bad guys were trying to get DJT to not be CEO of the United States. For that, in principle, they could face being tried for treason. Making a corporate CEO resign is child’s play compared to that. Or Byrne could have wanted to step down anyway, for unrelated reasons.
The way Byrne’s 1st interview was supposed to be about his cryptocurrency product launch, and he highjacked his own segment to bring up his role in Russia, and the way he did a 4 or 5 stage “teaser rollout” of Warren Buffet today, which was only tangential to the topic at hand, make me suspect we are being played somehow by Byrne, or by whomever is behind him.
